    The illegal trade would slow down rapidly if the Thai authorities reduced excise and tax duties on imported vehicles. I'd say some senior Thai customs officials will be shredding evidence at the moment.

    Yep raw or processed food prices have all risen, especially in the big supermarkets. Luckily I don't drink alcohol or smoke, which eases the burden somewhat and fresh produce can be bought cheap enough from the local fresh market.

    Maybe the tourist police chief should issue all tourists with handcuffs when they arrive so that they can arrest the rogue taxi drivers for the RTP and thrn ask them to bring the taxi drivers to the closest police station.

    Outrageous, I guess the fact that he was wearing a helmet gave him away to the concerned netizens. Too bad those concerned netizens don't start wearing helmets and stop riding their scooters the wrong way up streets. Ohhh and get a license while you aggrieved netizens are at it.

    My wife is the opposite, she plans everything and doesn't react that great to spontaneity. I on the other hand don't mind discussing the plans for the following day but dislike getting into minutiae. Each to their own I guess.

    Hopefully after they have dealt with this US miscreant the authorities will arrest the Thai drug King pins as well.

    What is she, a robber, a secretary or a house slave. Why is a secretary "working in her formal capacity" in the mayor's house anyway and not based in the formal publicly funded mayoral office setting. Another official using the public purse to fund her personal home based fifedom.

    Pick yer own trash up, plog off. I don't mind cleaning my mess but I refuse to clean rubbish up left by lazy people using the park. There is a difference in picking up a stray piece of rubbish in a well maintained Swedish city that has good waste management and then trying that plogging concept here.

    Ridiculous to even mention a jail term. He should stop representing Thailand until they apologize.

    Prawit is an oxygen thief who will contribute zero to rectifying the flood issue. The big question is " how do you stop a natural flood plain from flooding"? They need to divert and store upstream flows away from the down stream flood plain, which incurs massive infrastructure costs to build and maintain.

    This did make me smile. First the motocy rider charging a falang a total of 450 baht for that journey, outrageous. But the falang decided to spin a dice of his own and scam the scammer, which may or may not have worked. In this instance the falang outwitted the motocy rider. If the motocy rider had asked for a reasonable sum to begin with I would have sympathised with his loss, but he was just plain greedy himself.

    You didn't drink enough and got caught in the melancholy stage. A few more drinks would have gotten you to the righteous indignation stage.
