Gen Prawit orders swift assistance for flood victims
Aussieroaming replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Halfwit must have forgotten that upstream reservoirs are already full and hence there is no capacity to hold back water in order to stop downstream flooding, effin Muppet. -
Maybe rain, maybe fine, maybe hot, maybe cool. What to check today's humidity? Stick a dry noodle outside and depending on how far the noodle bends in an hour determines the percentage humidity. That's about how scientific weather forecasting or modelling is done here. Thailand's meteorologists rely on models developed by other countries as they have never done their own models and the data in the current models being used is scant as Thailand wasn't the primary area being modeled when they were developed. Thailand predictions were a secondary consideration. Hence why forecasts here are often wrong or just approximations of the days weather.

Exactly my feelings. They can't change poor Russian leadership by running and hiding in Phuket.

Rouge cops may get their guns confiscated? So typical of this place, an open ended statement which leaves room to avoid acting. As for needing a medical certificate, we all know how easily those would be obtained. So in other words, another day another mentally fragile RTP officer off killing someone or robbing a gold shop because they are upset and confused about something.

PM orders urgent and sweeping narcotics suppression drive
Aussieroaming replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Firstly the RTP will hand out a list of drug runners who are not to be targeted. Supply and demand...knock off the competition and they can sell their product at a higher rate per kg. -

3 Oarsmen Missing in Accident during Boat Race
Aussieroaming replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
Holding a race in a river that is probably still pumping with flood waters and debris. Obviously there was no need for any safety devices such as flotation vests or safety craft. I'm surprised that Thais haven't become extinct given the total lack of common sense. -
Shooting animals dead isn't generally perceived as a mentally healthy hobby. The animal cruelty is recognized as a red flag indicator for future violence of persons. A history of drug abuse and yet he still became a member of the RTP. According to the forensic report he had no drugs in his system after he committed his heinous crime. It seems he was just a crazy.

Thai immigration withdraw tourist visas of two CNN reporters
Aussieroaming replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
How did they have accreditation to join the media throng if the CNN reporters had tourist visas? Anyway, let's see if they do a follow up story on corruption in the RTP.- 86 replies

No dramas, I hope foreigners boycott all of their parks. Nice one, foreigners pay a new entry fee to enter Thailand and then pay 10 times the local rate to enter a shabby scabby national park with poor infrastructure. I'll drop my wife off at the entrance if she wants to visit any of them. Hopefully the YouTubers will get the message out about the additional fees being sucked out of tourists and local expats. I would laugh my head off if foreign countries reciprocated for Thai visitors.

A 50 :50 chance of procuring an F-35! I doubt very much that the US will donate a used plane to add to their "new" fleet of used and donated trains and buses. Thailand can always ask for one without an engine to complement the engine less submarine. 50:50 chance to procure, 0% chance to be able to fly it.

Shopkeeper Arrested For Bashing Up Foreign Tourist With Skateboard
Aussieroaming replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
So much for chilling on weed. This sounds like an attack due to drug induced paranoia. Ban the weed. -
The RTP are using drugs as an excuse for a random act, which they couldn't foresee or act upon. The reality is that this was pre-planned because he took numerous weapons to that pre-school, which shows he planned his actions. He had already been dismissed from the police force for drug offenses, so why wasn't his firearm license revoked earlier and his weapons confiscated.

Questions can come later, it is time for Thailand to heal
Aussieroaming replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Heal? How about making positive change and then use that change as a method to heal.
