Yes it's sounds strange.
The truth is, they will make you pay for it only if they want to. The supermarket can easily deal with a broken glass or similar as it is not a big loss. Usually they dont bother with it, thats why you didnt have to pay.

That's actually a useful idea. You go girl, follow your brother's instructions.

They never complained when they attacked others. So now its time to close their mouths, bend over and take it like a..like what they are.

Bangkok condo prices jump 21 percent
By Coconuts Bangkok
BANGKOK: -- Average prices for new condominium projects in Bangkok rose a staggering 21 percent quarter-on-quarter according to the latest research published by Colliers International Thailand.
In its Bangkok Condominium Market Report covering the first half of 2013, Colliers revealed that the number of new launches dropped by 22 percent compared to the previous quarter, but the number for the entire first six months was 12 percent higher compared to the same period in 2012.
Low- and middle-income buyers with budgets under THB3 million remained the highest proportion of property buyers in the Thai capital, according to the report.
The average take-up rate for new condominium projects in Bangkok during the second quarter was 74 percent – the highest recorded for a number of quarters due to strong sales at projects being sold by reputable, listed developers and located close to the city’s mass transit network.
Average selling prices in the city area were recorded at THB166,000 per sqm – the highest for more than two years and 2.7 percent up on the previous three-month period. Prices in the city are more than 100 percent higher than average prices for the entire Bangkok metropolitan region.
The research also noted a price drop once a project is more than 200 metres from one of the city’s mass transit stations, and declines substantially once that distance is more than 1,000 metres. [read more...]

Of course prices rose. That's what is going to happen in the future. It's going to rise over and over again because that's what takes place in developing countries with an economy that keeps getting stronger.

I am sure when thais are going to see it, especially ``educated`` university students - they are going to love the swastika on his back and make fun of it as they love to make jokes about Hitler related stuff, meanwhile having no idea who he was.
-
When i was reading it i couldnt believe it for a second that he just kicked them off the bike.
But it has nothing to do with Thailand anyway, authorities abuse their power all over the world.
But because they do, i dont think its proper to say that there is nothing to worry about, like one of the comments.
When you will get kicked off your bike you are going to feel otherwise.
-
I think it is just our attitude in general.
It is like thais seem to care about each other, stand up for each other if necessary. Foreigners too often show the opposite.
Of course, all due respect to those that act otherwise but from my experience foreigners usually just ignore each other.
It all goes back to how we were raised. Thais hear the following from a very young age: as thais, you supposed to be there for each other.
On the other side what we were taught: mind your own business.

I disagree with most statements here.
In my opinion renting is a waste of money, it is not what certain people tend to think but rather a fact. You rent something, you keep filling somebody else's pocket. You buy it, you make an investment by any means. If you live in it then thats why it was an investment. If you dont then thats why It was an investment. Because if you dont live in it then you are going to rent it out so your asset is making money for you. Even if you dont rent it out just decide to keep it in good condition and sell it later, you are going to make profit. A property investment when done smartly, is never a waste of money. It is just common sense. In my opinion most people who commented here are not entrepreneurs or investors. .thats why they have made such comments. No insult intended towards anybody but I speak from experience. If one buys a property anywhere in the world strictly for investment reasons then an agency is going to take care of it for a small commission and that person has made a good investment. You can either buy assets that generate income like a property in this case or buy liabilities that is only going to cost you. Approximately 7% of wealthy individuals rent property. The rest of them own it. The reason behind that is simple: they understand that they are only going to benefit from it, again if done properly. Thats one of the reasons they are wealthy. They understand what most people dont.

Clearly, this relationship has to be ended as soon as possible, otherwise it would slowly but surely destroy you.
Staying with a person like this leads nowhere but getting rid of her needs to be done with caution, because as you said - she is unstable.
I would say two things:
1. You have mentioned that your childhood was troubled with constant fights and arguments at home. The parents and their relationship always have a great affect
on children. Your case is no different. As children, we unintentionally copy our surroundings, including events and things that happened to us and as adults we are going to repeat them unless these issues were fixed and corrected. You grew up eye witnessing a troubled relationship on a daily basis, and now as an adult, you are in one. You repeat the pattern that you had witnessed for years.
So first advice: get rid of this by realizing that you have been acting this way for a while but understand that it doesnt need to be this way.
Change it..nobody else can do it for you.
2: To get rid of the girl is actually easy but be smart about it.
First step - Sit down with her once, or let her know on the phone that you brake up with her. Be calm and explain it to her why. Then ignore her totally from that moment on. Do not argue with her, do not enter fights, arguments with her. Do not answer her calls. Do not react to anything she says or does, it would only make things worse and would fuel her.
Second step: make her move out and change the lock or move out and leave her there.
Third step: you are going to need the help of the police. Dont bother with the tourist police, they cannot help with such things.
You go to the cop shop, the nearest station..make sure that unstable girl of yours does NOT know about it. You talk to any officer there and tell them you would like to talk to a higher ranking man because you would need some assistance with a certain problem. You dont need to reveal more, its not their business. Just ask them nicely to lead you to a higher ranking one. Then when you are with him, act like a gentleman and respectfully explain your problem to him.
After finishing the story, do NOT forget to mention: You would need his help but you know you ask him to do you a favor so of course you are going to be very grateful and generous in return. He will understand you and i think you understand me: its going to cost a bit. NOT much really, but its just the way it is.
They are NOT going to help you without this. But if you are respectful and willing to cooperate they will help you, i can guarantee you that.
It is in my opinion still better, compared to paying for the stuff that the gf destroys at your place, the damages of your car, etc...
By the way, your girl is well aware of what i am saying, that the cops are not going to help you(unless...you know).
Thats the reason she dares to do such things like destroying property and stuff. Understand this: they dont care. But if you care about them, they will start to care.
Good luck

These people know that such posts and comments are going to cause them trouble anyway, so why they insist on doing it remains a mystery.

If they want to take him back here to prosecute him, they can.
If they are not going to do it that is because they dont want to.

I have come to the conclusion that its probably my launcher
Yes, it probably would have helped if you had mentioned you were using a 3rd party launcher, in your original post.
You can un-root (de-root?) a phone in the event you need to make it look "original".
If you want to use a decent ad-blocker (AdAway) you need to root the device.
Yes you are right, I totally forgot the launcher.
But I still dont understand why it causes a crash as it doesnt happen on the other s4 that I have mentioned.
Anyway, thanks for all the advice.

So, what is the consensus of the forum on this?
Teach in Thailand, on a teacher's salary, and stay year-round?
Or take a nice one or two month holiday and enjoy everything LOS has to offer?
Absolutely depends on the person.
I know a lot of people will not agree with the following but I do so here it is.
A long time ago someone, and intelligent individual with much experience who has been living here for a long time told me: Thailand is the land of lost boys. With no offense intended I agree with him to this day.
And I live here currently so I am not excluding myself.

Has anyone successfully removed the rev limiter from the CBR 250, or atleast been able to up it by 1k rpm or more ?
Would really like it go a bit higher than 10.5k.
I ride a cbr, though not into such modifications..I know that in bkk certain shops do it. A friend of mine there owns a R6, got some similar stuff done on his bike that u are referring to.
Same month he got it seized because cops noticed that it was definitely not a stock bike.
Its your bike you do what you want with it but I would not suggest it for two reasons. First, as you have mentioned it could and probably would open a can of worms. Second, see above mentioned story. It is well known that cops here are after modified bikes.
My only mods on the bike were..I got the mirrors removed by my girl when she was mad at me.

Sorry yes I meant the phone would have to be rooted 1st to remove those special, preinstalled apps. There are many other advantages in rooting so I wouldn't hesitate doing it when getting a new phone. Waiting for the Note 3.
Yes I have been thinking about this rooting.
I am aware of the advantages and of course both rooted and unrooted phones have their advantages and disadvantages at least in my opinion.
My only question related to rooting would be: if the phone has any problems I mean hardware problems so it would need repair. What kind of shop you could take it to? The repair shops of the manufacturer of the phone would do it or they dont provide service for rooted ones?

I think you’d have to root your device in order to successfully de-install Chrome. I guess with JB (4.2/4.3) Chrome is the stock or default browser. I am running 4.3 on several devices, along with, more or less, stock 4.3 ( gapps_20130813 ), rooted, and can wipe data, de-install and re-install Chrome, using TiBu.
The SGS4 does have a staggering amount Drosswaretm, maybe some of these are interfering with Chrome? Do you use the “Eye Tracking” and “Hand Waving”, and God knows what other “apps”? Maybe close those and see if Chrome works.
All that said, as it has never worked for you, why is it that you seem intent on using it? I’m guessing you might use it on your desktop? And there certainly is some synergy there, but the look, feel usage is quite a bit different on Android.
I have been using Chrome/Android, mostly as a result of this thread, and have to say that it is getting much better with each release. The UI, with the fanfold, is impressive.
Drosswaretm
Group Play: Share Music, Share Picture, Share Document,
Play Games
Story Album, S Translator, Optical Reader
Samsung Smart Scroll, Samsung Smart Pause, Air Gesture,
Air View
Samsung Hub, ChatON (Voice/Video Call, Share screen,
3-way calling) Samsung WatchON
S Travel (Trip Advisor), S Voice™ Drive, S Health
Samsung Adapt Display, Samsung Adapt Sound, Auto adjust touch sensitivity (Glove friendly)
Safety Assistance, Samsung Link, Screen Mirroring
Samsung KNOX (B2B only)
Yes I would def need to root the phone in order to reinstall Chrome.
Besides I insist on using it because I just love that browser. In my opinion Chrome is a very good browser with very smooth operation and as I have mentioned it earlier I like the ability to sync bookmarks and the rest of my stuff with pc. Since my business is done online mainly, I need reliable devices and to be able to browse as effectively as possible.
Thats why I got the s4 and I am satisfied with it. Its a really good device and i say that even after my problems with Chrome as no system is 100% perfect.
You have mentioned that you use different devices. Just out of curiosity what kind of devices you have? Are they all rooted?
I dont use any of those additional features like eye tracking and stuff like that but I do think that a few of them are actually useful just need a little polishing.

As I mentioned before, maybe it one of your Apps you loaded after getting the phone. Maybe on one of those days your are bored you could uninstall an App or two you installed after you got the phone--and then also restart your phone to ensure all affects of the uninstalled Apps is removed---and then see how Chrome acts. Since it so easy to reinstall Apps from Google Play it might be worth a try in continuing to investigate your Chrome problem. Good luck.
Yes I ve always thought the same that that could be the problem.
So I took the time to figure it out. I have come to the conclusion that its probably my launcher
that for some reason Chrome doesn't want to work together with. I use Go ex and have no idea what
is wrong. I bought an s4 for my girl not long ago. She actually wanted another one but I talked her into
it with the evil back thought that I am going to install the same damn programs including the launcher
on it to figure out what's wrong which I did.
Didnt surprise me that on her phone there were no freezes or any problems.
So now that I seem to understand which apps interfere with each other, I still dont know why they do so.

To answer your question it is not necessary to get a car for that distance.
You are good with a bike especially because you have experience with it already.
At least the scooter because you say you have never ridde a manual before.
If that's the case then I would suggest you to keep using the scooter to see if you are happy with it.
And definitely learn to ride a manual properly before you get on the roads in Bkk. Or anywhere else
for that matter.
Good luck

I like chrome for the reason it syncs all the bookmarks and browsing history on every device I use, very handy.
I'd try to un-install it and reinstall, it normally fixes the bad behavior, but I would also root my phone to begin with.
Thanks. I cant uninstall it coz its installed by the manufacturer.
But rooting is a good idea I might do it.

There is a new version of (Android) chrome: 29.0.1547.59
Not sure if it might address your issue(s)?
Thanks, I got the new version already. Doesn't help.
But I solved the issue already, I downloaded the new version of Dolphin.
Not any worse than Chrome anyway, I just miss the feature that the last post addresses: that Chrome automatically syncs bookmarks and stuff.

And this is a rare occasion when it got to the media.
It happens on a regular basis, but usually the people who do it are smart enough not to attract this kind of attention and eventually get caught.
Trust, not in Thailand

Unfortunately since you didnt sign any contract so she would not be able to move you out..it is probably a loss my friend. I suggest you to learn from the mistake and move on. There is not much you can do.
On the other side this kind of low, miserable behavior of that woman who as a human equals my dog is disgusting and every time I hear such stories I have to vomit.
