Covid knows no boundaries so best maintain good practise to suppress it
-
What visa did this lady have to allow her entry into Thailand could not have been an STV as French Citizens excluded.
-
The premium is reasonable but cover only in respect of Covid after arrival in Thailand. This means international travel insurance is still required and the double insurance cover would probably be applied for duplicate insurance and all complications that would arise when making a claim under each insurance. It does however indicate which nationalities are permitted to apply for the STV which very few although China included in permitted countries.

It would appear that these figures include peak season as borders were not closed until end of March. Peak and High seasons starting end of December until beginning if March probably already lost so next year's figures are going to be dramatically worse. What ever conditions of entry including quarantine it should be understood potential tourists have a fear of travelling There has to be incentives by Government spending subsidised airfares would be a start and crackdown on over priced hotels etc

The pandemic is erupting in many countries now is not the time to open without quarantine. Cruise Ships are proven to be Covid hot spots

Must be really desparite to enter Thailand otherwise who in their right mind would be willing to suffer such a demeaning reception after arriving with a low cost airline and then face 15 days solitary confinement at their expense.

Covid is putting the world on a war footing putting travel on hold so for now best to forget foreign property and stay at home. Let's hope that war does not actually break out there are hot spots where this could happen

Seem like Thailand has too many Chiefs and no Indians

Presently China has 14 day quarantine requirement for all arrivals provided you have negative tests before and upon arrival so good luck with any travel bubble requests. Best accept have to wait until next year before any foreign tourists arrivals from China or anywhere else.

Wow Tourisms economic woes are over
-
If and when they come will make no difference to Thai economic crisis so better wait until next year.

They may be suffering but at least they have food to put on the table wherever they are what about the destitute Thais who relied upon tourism but have lost everything and have to rely upon charity of others to live

What a lot of nonsense WHO advised against wearing masks and did not disclose the existence of the viras until it was to late. Thailand may have been lucky reporting low infection rates but not so lucky with the decimation of its economy and mass unemployment

Until April?
I can see another "amnesty" coming.
Maybe Good time for foreigners go back home whilst they can.

Anyone considering purchase of property would be well advised to wait until next year when prices may be at a more realistic taking into account world recession. Meanwhile maybe good time to consider changing the law so that property may be purchased and owned by foreign nationals.

Yes Thailand needs foreign tourists however this is really impossible at this time and we all have to accept this. The priority should be financial help to the unregistered poor who have relied on foreign tourism but are now being ignored and need financial assistance to live and care for this families especially Children who really do not understand why there is no food or other necessities transport to school school uniforms ete etc. Food handouts are essential but would be far better to give them financial assistance for their well being and dignity which they deserve.

The prove of the pudding will be in the eating. Certainly not for Europeans. Thai Embassies do not have the staff or facilities to handle such a complicated visa on any scale the costs involved will not attract much interest even from the mega rich. My advice wait until next year no rush wait for mega incentives which will no doubt follow.
-
Maybe better wait as looks like will be prepared to open up without any restrictions in the end which is too dangerous as the viras is very much alive and kicking. With such procrastination end of year international tourism is probably already lost
-
If the final insurance amount is to be Bht 400,000 it a Joke and should be scrapped altogether as this amount is so small any so called high end International Tourist worth attracting to Thailand would have this amount in their bank account without any need for Covid Insurance.

Now the predicted panick we have to live with Covid and accept that cases will rise once foreign tourism restarts so must be done in a safe and realistic way without quarantine but testing before leaving home countries and again upon arrival. Maintain safe distancing face masks alcohol restrictions etc Lack of Tourism is a problem affecting many countries as well as recession so many potential tourists will have other financial priorities so tourism cannot be on anything like same scale as before.

Surely more clarification conditions required presume would be issued to tourist who want to stay less than 90 days. Why is Thai Airways resuming international flights under what conditions will arriving passengers be permitted to enter Thailand will this be the same as advertised arrivals from China before STV decided and if so what are these conditions and when will Thai Embassies receive instructions and guidance what visas they can issue
-
A move in the right direction let's wait for full details and for third quarter economic accounts to show full extent of down turn economy causing sudden change in policy. Hope there will not be undue rise in reported Covid cases and there will be more easing of entry restrictions before the year end.

'People must brace for new-normal lifestyle for at least two years before Covid-19 is contained'

There are many factors that must be taken into considerate scientists cannot agree among themselves but there is no doubt that Covid restrictions are affecting people's mental health and well-being there has never been and never will be a NORMAL but if restrictions carry on much longer it is likely to lead to civil unrest and war as it is creating a big divide between the few rich who are relatively unaffected and the remainder who are being or will be forced into poverty.
