Brits! Conquering countries is NOT allowed any more. The empire is dead.
Would be better to concentrate vaccinating Thai population with Brit vaccine rather than making silly comments

It is a shame that after being so careful to control Covid which has probably always been present in Thailand instead of waiting for the vaccine to be rolled out people have been given a long Songran holiday and been encouraged to travel around Thailand which means there is a high risk of increase in Covid infections and consequences of locks downs and long delay in planned opening for International Tourism.

Vaccines are going to control the viras. It is essential to expedite vaccination programme for entire country before opening up for International/domestic tourism . Probably more cases will arise now in Phuket, Samui and other tourist hot spots over the coming Songkran holidays

After waiting so long to reopen
It is a shame Thailand is now hell bent on reopening without taking necessary precautionary measures. If possible the vaccination programme should be expedited before reopening for International Tourism and Night venues

He is almost certainly right this will be another delay in opening for International Tourism. It would have been best to have concentrated on the vaccination programme.

Believe this must have been a one way repatriation flight. German borders are presently closed and any returning German nationals are required to quarantine upon arrival in Germany
-
Such a reception party is enough to discourage tourism. Better wait for arrivals without need to quarantine hopefully next year.

Best expedite vaccination programme and wait until next year to welcome back foreign tourists most of whom cannot presently leave their home countries owing Covid restrictions. Sure incentives will be necessary to restart tourism which will be on a much smaller scale for the foreseeable future.

Buying Condo in Thailand potentially waste of money far better to rent and then you know exact cost and can move you whenever you want

Don't worry most countries ban their nationals travelling outside their borders. Europe suffering third wave owing slow vaccination programme and unlikely to have vaccinated sufficiate numbers of their population this year. Quarantine will deter most tourists. Thailand should expedite its vaccination programme and plan to reopen some time next year if all goes well

Really? UK had 4052 cases yesterday with 43 deaths.
You would need Covid Free Certificate and to quarantine 10 days upon arrival in UK all borders are presently closed.

Where are the tourists to come from? Meanwhile this is not a comprehensive plan let's wait for the Government to make a detailed plan.

Headless chickens best be realistic looks like no International tourism before second half 2022 if all goes well

Should stop talking about tourist numbers. Other countries have been badly hit by Covid financially so maybe many potential tourists if they are able to have a holiday this year may look to other more welcoming cheaper countries. Few airlines are considering scheduling flights to Thailand especially when Covid infections are on the rise and vaccine programme unlikely to get underway until next year

The UK is planning a third dose vaccine from October to counter new variants. It is unlikely Thailand will procure sufficient vaccines to inoculate sufficient number of its population until 2022 earliest

The simple answer is no one actually knows when International Tourism will resume until the viras is really under control which will not occur until vaccination programmes rolled out in every country. This is unlikely to occur in the near future definitely not this year

Unfortunately there is a world shortage of Covid vaccines also bear in mind 2 doses are required within a 4 week period. It is very unlikely Thailand will be able secure and administer sufficient vaccines by July better estimate would be end of this year at best.

Making Thailand even more reliant on International Tourism which unlikely to recover to same levels before Covid in the foreseeable future.

With some obvious exceptions Thailand needs to close its borders until Covid has been fully erased.
The world has changed, we can't justify death and despair by allowing sex tourists and backpackers to travel here to simply take pleasure with some local poo ying. This isn't just my opinion. Thais in general feel this way.
Please respect expats and Thai people alike.
Sincerely

Very misguided comments vast majority of tourists come to Thailand to enjoy the culture, scenery and beaches. They are relied upon by many Thais who are now employed and destitute to take care of their families

Infections will continue and could gather pace until mass vaccination programme underway. Regretfully this cannot occur until sufficient vaccines are available which are in short supply therefore do not foresee any significant tourism this year.

Thailand really knows how to kill off International Tourism for good.
Vietnam expected to open to tourism as early as July maybe better alternative.

Thailand sees a run on hospitals as Covid-19 cases linked to entertainment venues are reported

What a shame premature opening entertainment venues and encouraging travel over extended Songkran holidays before vaccination roll out big mistake. Would have been far better for controlled opening International Tourism who would have at least been fully vaccinated and had Covid Free certificates before entering Thailand
