Don't have to be an expert to realise Omicron is so infectous that it is almost certain everyone will catch it which hopefully will result in herd immunity. It is still very important to be vaccinated to reduce serious illness

Try telling this to officials who are destroying the tourist industry by incarcerating tourists who test positive for Omiricron in very expensive hospitals when they have no other symptoms

This is not a good promotion for Thai Tourism nor the hotels. Best stop ALL international tourism until Covid under control as we are going to have to live with it indefinitely. Omicron is now present in Thailand and predicted to infect everyone. Thai Insurance companies should be compelled to refund ALL premiums plus interest.

It's all very sad. The best advice is not to travel to Thailand until Covid is under control and the entry requirements are very clear and unambiguous. It appears that the Government makes the rules for entry into Thailand but that provincial Governors have the authority to make other rules.

Not the best time to launch trusted campaign which trust has been severely tarnished by the way any visitors are treated if they are unlucky to have tested positive or have travelled with anyone testing positive for Covid but without any other symptoms. Incarceration in very expensive state hospitals charging foreigners double prices come and have a great holiday in hospital Go home bankrupt

This is risks involved travelling to Thailand hope the insurance will cover the isolation costs for the whole family and not just the child. No mention in this report of Farang being infected by a Thai which looks like what has happened. In these circumstances all isolation costs should be paid by TAT. The publicity will surely deter others from holidaying in Thailand as this is likely to happen more and more now that Omicron is present in Thailand and likely to spread really fast as every one is likely to be infected until herd immunity attained.

Pity the Government does not take traffic deaths seriously. If they put half the efforts in trying to control traffic fatalities as they have in trying to stop Covid it would help but unfortunately drink driving is part of Thai culture and cannot be blamed on foreign tourists

The truth is that Omicron is so infectous that it is almost certain that everyone will catch it. Get vaccinated if you can and hope will be mild and probably will end the pandemic as herd immunity occurs.

Omicron is already in the country and very contagous so anyone entering the country has more chance of contracting it from local transmission rather than fully vaccinated, tested foreign entries.

Under estimate probably about 100,000 to 200,000 every day as Comricron is very infectious. Hopefully will burn it self out and be mild within about 4 weeks after it reaches its peak . That will be tested cases actual cases could 4 to 5 times higher. Herd immunity will hopefully be the final outcome.

Probably many more cases in Thailand as Omicron spreads rapidly.

So many versions of this event doubt we will ever know what really happened if he has actually previously had Covid and recovered maybe could result in positive PCR test on some occasions. Just goes to show how risky it is to come to Thailand at this time better to stay at home and avoid so much hassle and expenses at the whim of some official.

He would do well to keep a low profile. Comricron knows no borders and spreads extremely fast.

See how popular he will be next week. No need for another poll

Extraordinary comments look back to the beginning of the Pandemic when Thailand was boasting a safe country free of Covid and then what happened. Let's hòpe history does not repeat its self with comicron and that he was not under the influence of something else freely available in the Golden Trangle.

Absolutely correct even attending state schools it is very expensive for transportation costs contributing to school expenses writing materials etc and school uniforms. Poor families do not have access to the internet nor computers for remote learning. This is not confined to rural areas but also tourists locations where their parents are now out of work without any help whatsoever from the Government.

Thailand was losing tourists to Vietnam and Cambodia before the pandemic mainly because it had become too expensive so they may already have their wish and must accept the gravy train is finished. No doubt Chinese tourist will return at some time but they mainly come in groups following the flag not helping most of the unregistered Thai's who are now unemployed.

Sex workers are human beings many of whom had been supporting families and children This is a way of life which they have been forced into whether they like it or not and deserve sympathy and help in these difficult times.

Omicron is impossible to keep out and will probably already be spreading fast. If it is mild maybe end of pandemic but to date no one knows. Vaccination will help so get vaccinated if you can

Is history repeating it self is Thailand just behind other countries waiting to be hit by the Omicron variant if so let's pray it will be mild

Good Luck recommend you get PCR test to confirm you are not positive and again the mandatory PCR before departure and that you are lucky not to sit close to anyone who subsequently tests positive. Bear in mind you have a very high chance of contracting Omricron whilst in Thailand
