Everyone has to be vaccinated best to start with the most vulnerable and medics then if a surge in infections occurs should reduce the risk of fatalities. Relealisically everyone needs to be vaccinated before opening for Tourism domestic or foreign

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating. GOOD LUCK

It would appear many vaccines has been administered to low priority persons in tourist areas rather than giving priority to most vulnerable and medics

Immediate full country wide lockdown required for at least 1 month to get viras under control with top priority to expedite vaccination programme. The pandemic is hitting Asia hard this time and serious measures are required.

Should headline be 9 Thai Nationals with 3 Foreign Nationals etc. These shambolic news reports discourage international tourism to Thailand

Sensible but realistically no alternative.

Firstly have to treat foreigners with respect, secondly not to fine foreigners at home socially distant with fines for having a civilised drink, thirdly most countries require their citizens to quarantine after returning from Thailand. Respectfully strongly recommend expedite vaccination programme all of Thailand and hope and pray Indian variant does not enter Thailand

Agree any foreigners in Thailand must follow all the rules. Unfortunately Thailand or most other countries are going to have to live with Covid for many years to come but it can be controlled with vaccines and personal safety measures. Hopefully on this basis Thailand maybe able to open for tourism early next year.

Can anyone explain why so many Asian countries are being so badly hit by resurgence of covid?
-
Suggest concentrate on vaccination programme before any arrangements to open for tourism. Doubt even if vaccines available would be possible to vaccinate 70% of population before end of this year. So far as UK is concerned would need to quarantine for 10 days dfter returning from Thailand provided you have obtained Covid Free test 3 days before leaving Thailand.

Oh dear what is the would coming to they all looked socially distant.
Looks like more police decented on the villa than party goers.

Problem is mainly world shortage of vaccines it is essential all Thai's offered vaccines FREE of charge and that every effort made to expedite vaccine roll out. It should be compulsory for all Foreigners to be vaccinated unless can prove medically unsuitable cost should easily for affordable if foreigners required to pay. All going well Thailand should be ready to open for tourism next year.

Not heard from the Tzar but it is unlikely the Sanbox scheme will proceed. Best take care of entire population first forget about Tourist Fat Cats
-
About 6 months too late. Even if sufficient vaccines become available immediately there is no chance of actually vaccinating sufficient numbers to reopen for International or Domestic Tourism this year.

Well that's clear another tax on tourism to be added to the many other taxes already added to hotel bills. At least the sandbox scheme has been unofficially scraped there is no way to have zero Covid infections nor for the vaccination rate to be achieved before next year there is simply not enough vaccines available. Good news is that now no foreign tourism to be be allowed in Thailand can make other arrangements accordingly

We are all in this together if vaccines available everyone should be offered it. Until everyone vaccinated Covid will carry on mutating and infecting whether Thai or Farang. So much time has been lost the vaccines should have been ordered months ago. If you can go home for the vaccine do so but forget about returning to Thailand

Does not make sense only vaccinate only Thai's. If Farangs have family ties or enhancing economy they should be offered vaccine subject to their vulnerability even if they requested to pay cost otherwise Covid cannot be controlled and risk of variants.

Best to understand if you are a foreigner living in Thailand you are only a guest. The problem is shortage of vaccines and of those
many have been wasted on your Thai's living in Phuket and Samui for now failed attempts to restart Tourism. The vaccination programme must go ahead but will take some months before herd immunity this means everyone regardless of nationality must be vaccinated.

I contacted 5 different hospitals in Chiangmai this morning I went too two and phoned three, got told by all of them only for Thai people not for foreigners and the first one I went too as I was walking out I looked back and they were laughing having a joke about it, I’m more than happy to just pay for it without all the bs they all had no idea that foreigners are included in the vaccine except one that told me the government has stopped them from getting It.
There is a world wide shortage of vaccines Thailand will have to rely on AZ locally manuctured. Philippines has been unable to obtain any vaccines. It is in the interest of all residents to be vaccinated when vaccines become available

What is the Tsar doing to organise the vaccination programme. My opinion is the Government should procure the vaccines as a matter of top priority and then request the medics to arrange the vaccination programme. You really don't want the virus to get out of control as is now happening in India. Keep the fat cats from the Tourism Industry out of these arrangements and take care entire population

Thailand can get on top of Covid provided immediate lock down to restrict spread and other safety measures social distancing wearing masks etc every effort should be made to expedite vaccine roll out for entire country. Forget about Tourism International or Domestic until at least 70% vaccinated unfortunately this means not before 2022 earliest

Thailand is good if you have money. If no money the suicide rate is very high.
Thailand is no longer a cheap country to live or holiday in. Many things are cheaper in the Europe.
