Watching YouTube scambaiter vids I often see a lot of the mostly Indian based scammers using Thai bank accounts to receive scammed funds.

I'm married to a public servant and receive free healthcare under the close family scheme. I can receive govt hospital treatment with referrals to private hospitals for MRI's etc if required. For more serious problems like cancer I'll receive standard treatment but it's worth me using private cover for better treatment. However it depends on what scheme the public servant is in. I'm told as part of cost cutting measures newer staff dont receive the same family privileges.

I'm reliably informed this can happen in govt hospitals. It can take time for Bangkok to process initial wages. Some hospitals advance staff wages from hospital funds until the official pay arrives.

Depends what you buy. We spend around 6+ k baht a week in makro mostly on drinks and snacks. Occasionally an item we purchase has a gift which shows up on the receipt. Maybe a misunderstanding. My upcountry immigration office requires an official request from a govt department or embassy to issue residence certs. They told me to see land transport and get a residence cert request from them. I took the request back to immigration and they printed off the free residence cert while I waited.
