  1. On a slightly different track, several issan provinces are offering free to all AstraZeneca, Pfizer or Moderna vax walk-in no appointment needed until the 5th. There have been reports of people previously vaccinated overseas with Pfizer receiving a Pfizer booster as part of this vax drive. Kantharalak hospital is also giving Gold to every 500th vax recipient above age 18.
  2. This is a list in Thai from last year i was told builders use as a guide to costs. used_cost_thai_2020-1.pdf
  3. This happens when some service like daily horoscope or sports is unknown to you added to your service. Call 12call or drop into one of there outlets and tell them to stop all add on services. Sometimes they will refund some of the fees. You can usually check usage by checking your phone 12call app. It's normally hidden in settings.
  4. We have smooth polish like concrete floors in our attached double garage. There didn't appear to be much difference to the normal smoothing process of concrete. I can only advise being very careful if near entrances. The slightest moisture on your feet and its like skating on ice. I've now laid 3M anti slip tape near the entrance.
  5. Try your local government hospital. To apply for the yellow vaccination passport in my province you need to provide your passport, your double vaccination certificate and pay 50 Baht.
  6. As I said check with the embassy. I was in email contact with the person issuing my COE. At that time airline issued insurance was not accepted. Part of his correspondence is attached.
  7. Earlier this year I flew in Emirates with a COE issued in Riyadh. Check the embassy requirements as the Riyadh embassy at that time specifically stated airline insurance was not accepted. I bought insurance through worldnomads.
  8. We had a 4" bore drilled earlier this year. Expect to pay around 5 to 6k baht. Same price if they find water at 6 or 36 metres. They found my water at 36 metres. Been told in my area any bore deeper that 40 metres requires a licence. Had a double solar panel and 3" pump installed. Cost 32k baht. Enough flow to easily run 4 to 6 sprinklers depending on cloud cover. Generally I find sunlight is strong enough to run between 0800 to 1600 each day.
  9. No idea. Some Chinese brand. I see plenty of the same design/manufaturer sold everywhere. His can carry 2 adults plus baby seat and handlebar basket or fold up for 1 adult with extra carry space.
  10. Plenty of shops up my way selling them and scooters now. Big C has them for sale here. 90 yo father in law has a 3 wheeler that the family bought him 2 years ago. I think it cost them 29k baht. Its still going strong. He rides it out to his farm and back plus to the temple daily. The battery's are still good and they're supposed to last 60 km.
  11. For sisaket people waiting for a pfizer jab keep your phones turned on I'm told they're currently contacting 72 people for their 2nd Pfizer and another 13 for 1st Pfizer at the hall next to the aquarium on 29th September. I believe they're combining the 1st and 8th September vaccinated people for this session.
  12. Each province issues its own rules. Heres an example. 13. What a lot of you are missing is the fact covid is being introduced into villages from people mostly travelling back from Bangkok or other red zones. I've been told by medical staff that sometimes up to 80% of my provinces daily cases can be traced to an outside arrival not quarantining then spreading it to family and friends. I imagine the same could be said for other provinces. The locals, pu yai barns, volunteers and police have been told to report anyone not following the rules with police escorting non compliant people to quarantine. Word spreads fast even to neighbouring villages. Just about every largervillage i drive through has it own little quarantine area. I've done ASQ followed by another 14 days home quarantine. It not a big problem.
  14. My vax paper is similar. I'm told I will receive my vax ID number after my 2nd dose. My number is already in their system. I've read reports suggesting people contact the vaccinating hospital asking for their number.
  15. I understand there is a difference between your pink ID number and the number issued when registering for vaccine. I'm told the vaccination ID number is issued by the main health computer system when registering. If registering via different websites a person can have 2 of these numbers. Some of the sites don't link causing people who have been vaccinated with sinovac or AstraZeneca being contacted for Pfizer. I'm aware of people previously being double vaccinated receiving Pfizer and their records corrected to show the Pfizer as a booster. This can be easily corrected by staff issuing certificates at the vaccination centre.
  16. A lot of the people tasked with contacting are local volunteers or health workers using their own phones. It appears to be the done thing here. I'm not saying this is what happened to you. Most probably someone recognised your name due to your wifes work and helped by contacting you. Contact problems I've seen.. People not answering calls from unknown numbers or just rejecting the call. Others thinking its flash or another courier calling about a delivery. Incorrect phone number or email input into the system. Sometimes mistyped due to unclear written application forms. Others not listing a phone number or email address on registration. Other problems occur when people have registered on different websites. Each website issues a number against that person. The websites aren't linked causing people to have multiple assigned numbers. This has been the case with people receiving AstraZeneca or other vaccination then being contacted for Pfizer.
  17. I know from personal experience assisting with some of these contact messages you'll most likely find the messages originate from the provincial health office. They forward to local levels when they've been unable to contact a person. Your Dr could also have a friend in or work in HQ and seen the list.
  18. Like my province I think you'll find the expatvac list has been forwarded to provincial health offices. The health offices then attempt to contact people on the list once Pfizer allocation is received and their program permits.
  19. I've just received a message from Sisaket health. The expat Pfizer vaccination scheduled for Wednesday afternoon 15 September has been brought forward to Tuesday afternoon 14th September.
  20. I'm told the local, police, puuyai barns and village volunteers will report new arrivals that bypass quarantine. The police will escort people unwilling to co operate to quarantine facilities. I know this is happening in neighbouring provinces after so many covid cases resulted from new arrivals not quarantining.
  21. The next Sisaket expat Pfizer vaccinations will be this Wednesday afternoon 15 September This will be 1st dose Pfizer for registered expats.
  22. They didn't check when I arrived earlier this year although a smart phone is needed in ASQ as mine used Line to communicate, place menu requests and for me to send twice daily photos of my thermometer readings.
  23. I've been with a person trying to contact people to let them know their vaccine date. The main problem is a lot of people put incorrect phone numbers or just don't answer when called. Some didn't give a number. Others think its flash or Kerry calling about a delivery while others just cancel the call. Theyre are even searching local expat Facebook pages in an attempt to make contact. I can only suggest anyone waiting to be called check email junk folders, Facebook messages and answer phone calls from unrecognised numbers.
  24. I've been asked to pass on a message from Sisaket CDC office. The next expat vaccination date is 08 September afternoon session at the park on the lake. This is for the 1st Pfizer vaccination. Some registered people missed the previous appointment due to incorrect phone numbers in the system or unanswered calls. Anyone who knows for sure they're registered can attend and be vaccinated. Any expat over 60 unsure or not-previously registered are asked to provide a copy of their passport and phone number to their closest primary care unit or hospital asking to be added to the vaccination list.
  25. There was a big expat Pfizer vaccination at the park on the lake vaccination hall the afternoon of 1st September. The next vaccination is expected 4 weeks after that with no confirmed date as it all depends when Pfizer is issued from Bangkok. I suggest you contact your local clinic/hospital and ask to be added on the next Pfizer list.
