  1. Depends on the item, i had to wait a couple of weeks before
  2. You've probably been watching too many Columbos, police on numerous occasions track down people fast using CCTV mainly. I doubt most criminals back home are any smarter
  3. he was found innocent of that and not prosecuted, but that doesn't stop people repeating it it seems. Motive probably some dodgy property deal gone wrong
  4. to be fair, the police are very quick here at cracking crime and tracing people, back home this would take ages
  5. Yes but at least he's been found, could have just been missing for years and family can't move on with life, will etc
  6. Old news, apparently proved he did nothing wrong hence why still around Pattaya
  7. medical emergency? at hospital when they hold a gun to your head to pay or no treatment
  8. BTW NHS does recommend abdominal thrusts which as described is the same or very similar to the Heimlich maneuver. Link shows when and how to use it https://www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/accidents-first-aid-and-treatments/what-should-i-do-if-someone-is-choking/#:~:text=Place your arms around their, movement up to 5 times.
  9. of course it's a life or death situation, you aren't having a chat about the weather and decide to do the Heimlich maneuver
  10. i tried apple cider vinegar because people kept banging on about it and YouTube videos said it was the best thing since sliced bread. Did nothing for me, even made my stomach feel a little more sore, so totally depends what the issue is
  11. popular places get touristy, when i went to MHS it wasn't like that, most fat tourists won't go trekking
  12. Dr O pipes? i haven't seen them since Laos
  13. It's still recommended in many countries, Australia is only one small country by population. Certainly I'd be happy with broken ribs but able to breathe i.e not dead "rare abdominal complications can happen, but in a life-or-death situation, performing the Heimlich maneuver is still recommended" https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/treatments/21675-heimlich-maneuver#:~:text=Other rare abdominal complications can,Heimlich maneuver is still recommended.
  14. Of course, so people should work out whether they will be able to pay the premiums in 70s and 80s, they'll need to increase the published premiums based on how many years ahead
  15. When i ordered my kitchen and other stuff online stock is an issue so you end up having several deliveries rather than one. It's better to do it yourself online rather than hope they will process all the items in person, easy to make a mistake. I assembled some stuff, they assembled trickier things like wardrobes which are heavy
  16. Maybe better to disclose it if outside of the date range mentioned, in theory it shouldn't effect the premium and cover....maybe
  17. because Americans always bang on about it when like i said you get nothing for free
  18. I'm not interested in a US based broker, but you don't get anything for free, you should know that
  19. when i completed an application form, one question was, have you ever suffered from blah blah blah. I think with a western health insurance company questions are worded asking about the last 2 or 5 years, but check what you completed for your questionnaire, because if there's a subsequent court case that will be evidence
  20. They might even cancel your policy if they find it's an undeclared pre-existing condition, even ask for a refund of any claims paid to date on anything even unrelated
  21. Not for me, and I eat lots, food intolerance maybe? In the past i took 20mg Omeprazole, didn't do anything noticeable. 40mg now we're talking, symptoms (gastritis) went away after a while, Dr in UK agreed to up dose to 40. Diet is the major reason so change that. I don't need omeprazole any more but good for short time
  22. I see they've found his car in the photo, just need to check condo CCTV
  23. It used to be popular with backpackers, i just passed through on the way to Mae Hong Son, didn't stop at Pai
