  1. Yes but selling any property owned in Bali might be difficult, retirees won't want to buy
  2. You'll need to contact your health insurance company and get them to confirm in writing, check T&Cs see if anything in there. i checked my travel insurance once and i was only covered as pillion if motorbike rider was fully legal with licence and not over limit
  3. i just cooked my own chips in the air fryer and so much better than Makro frozenchips and only a tea spoon of oil. Anyone do sandwiches but without mayonnaise?
  4. This is why it's best to not invest too much in a country, if they decide to shaft you like Bali is doing then you are screwedl
  5. Best advice is leave Bali if retired, move to a friendlier country
  6. I'm not preoccupied with the numbers but RHR Athlete, VO2Max 51 calculated, BP optimal, body fat don't know, likely 14-17%. No meds needed not even dick pills like most people 555
  7. i wouldn't bother, get her to come to Pattaya
  8. I bought the Teclast P20HD, 10" tablet for 4,000 baht from Lazada and it's been very good, reviews were correct, highly rated, but depends what someone wants to do so check functionality
  9. Here's an old and new of opposite Mike Shopping Mall Pattaya
  10. I don't think they can cancel. Some tracking numbers don't work for a few days
  11. When i had an incorrect date stamped in my passport at a border i got it corrected at MFA in Bangkok, UJ knows what to do but he is away for a while
  12. I reckon your gut feeling is right on that, i feel the same, money better spent elsewhere
  13. Still no mention of the dead falang? Also a falang cyclist died Saturday (German?) near Ban Chang, no mention of that either
  14. sounds a sensible business model. I have a couple of friends who made recent successful claims with PC
  15. It was discussed in previous threads why people have concerns, look it up
  16. i reckon Pacific Cross would be a better bet for cheaper premiums
  17. As usual BBC poor reporting, doesn't give detail
  18. Let's see if you change your mind by tomorrow
  19. When you say actual rate presumably you are referring to your card exchange rate? don't forget they often charge commission circ 2%, unless you have a specialist card that avoids it
  20. Girls shouldn't get on the back of bikes with plonker farangs, riding too fast, dangerous riding, they are often showing off too which makes it worse
  21. Good point, Tapper is good. All that junk stuff is ok occasionally, need some discipline, for me once a week works well, that's if you want to be healthy
  22. pastries, cookies, crisps all sorts of bad stuff in there, then the coke soda type drinks. Good stuff? water, fruit, rice, probably a few more things
  23. Billions of people eat white rice without diabetes, it's something else, they stuff their faces with 7 Eleven rubbish all day amongst other things
  24. it's the fat and oil in pizza cheese etc although you can get healthier ones apparently. Dark chocolate is big % fat although most people don't realise. Chips if made with very little oil, like in an airfryer ok, less oil the better, I don't use any at home anymore. Even better eat potatoes, jacket potatoes, i even sometimes microwave, cut into wedges add salt and vinegar
