I'm 90. I finished my medication for a session of covid a week ago but a test shows I'm still affected. I have a bit of a cough, not serious, but a feeling of tiredness all of the time. Anyone been through this and is it normal?

Most long vehicles here do not have side lighting. So when they are sideways on to oncoming traffic such as at U Turns they are unlit. I nearly ran into one that came out of a side turning on an unlit stretch of road.

"This is no yoke"
Talk about egg on your face, apart from those eggs with stripes on their shoulders and Aviators, I've never seen an egg with a yoke [sic].
Silly me. What the l was I thinking about. Old age. One of the crosses, or yokes we have to bear.

To add to the number of inane posts on AN, I have a question. When you are having boiled eggs and soldiers. How do you open your egg? Like me? Do you tap it and peel the shell off the top, or slice the top of? Something I've tried and never mastered. Perhaps someone could enlighten me on this technique?

One wonders if all alleged crimes committed outside of the country are held against you in Thailand? Possessing and dealing in drugs and a prison sentence served, for example?

In some places there are two right lanes for turning. But yes, a confusing article, like many.

Like rats running around in a bucket. Crookedness to be elected as respected representatives of Thai politics. Ah well. Par for the course.🤨

Keep a watch out for the Watch Man. Hypocrisy knows no bounds in Thai politics.

I read about twenty to thirty I guess. Being well past my 'Best Before' date I read when I go to bed. Sometimes during the night to send me off to sleep after my regular soft shoe shuffle in the early hours to the kharzi to send me off to sleep again. One of the benefits of old age is that you can read the same book after six months and enjoy it because you forgot subject. I'd be lost without a book. Now what were we discussing? 😉

After all, rehab is for quitters.
Did we quit when the Germans invaded Pearl Harbor? 😀
I suggest you get into rehab. Germans Pearl Harbour?😆

Rehab should be left to the monks, they seem to do a good job.
I'm not so sure. About twenty years ago. A young Thai friend of the family was well into alcohol and maybe drugs. His wife persuaded him to go to a Buddhist rehab centre run by monks. After a week there he was found hanged in the ablutions section. Sometime later there was a newspaper report that another rehab centre run by monks was being investigated for severe abuse of the rehabees. I've always had my suspicions about his death.

Most of the women telling me this are just in normal places like shopping malls, 7-11s, and local stores or restaurants. Often it’s just out of nowhere. I’m just an average looking guy. Never considered myself handsome. And I am a bit shy, so I’m not the kind of guy who goes around chatting up a lot of women. So I don’t feel like I’m encouraging them to say this. Do you think they maybe they wanting me to approach them for a romantic relationship when they say this to me? I can’t really tell.
Stupid boy!😆

Because its fun.
Not if you don't get so 'trolleyed off yer face' that a hangover is moderate at worst....
Not if you drink in better company and don't get so 'pie-eyed' that you don't blow all yer wedge on lady-drinks....
Not if you drink the bootleg swill most bars serve and still to sensible amounts.... (and hydrate before sleeping).
Each to their own... but I think even a Chang tastes better than a note !!.... beers are refreshing.
Wine's are excellent with food... Whisky' is thoroughly enjoyable at the end of an evening...
So no... not same thing at all really, not even close.
Here. Here. I'll drink to that. Cheers. Bottoms up!

So do I. Yes we know the addicts are self inflicted but that doesn't excuse physical punishment by those entrusted in treating their addiction. I would suggest that it increases their craving for drugs to escape the affects of the abuse. It would seem that these rehabilitation centres are run on military grounds. And we know how military recruits are treated.
