I had one in CNX last year. 1. The Gastroenterologist who I have seen before did the procedure. 2. The consultation fee was included in the package 3. The medication(a PPI) the doctor recommended was included in the package. I did not require any further treatment. 4. I paid 39,000 Baht for a combo endoscopy/colonoscopy. I would shop around.

I have walked by the Kiwi Smash Burger located at 14 Nimman Soi 9 many times and never thought about going in. I rarely see anyone eating inside. Today I decided what the heck I'll give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The hamburgers are all named after major world cities. I tried the Los Angeles Cheeseburger and it was really good. The meat was high quality and best of all the burger bun was soft and spongy. The only other place that had burger buns like this was at In N Out burgers in the USA. Overall it was the best burger I have had in Chiang Mai(others will disagree). The downside was the cost. It was 349 Baht for the burger, fires(these were good as well) and a Coke. If you are like me and need a cheeseburger once in a while and don't the mind price then this give this place a try.

I just bought some Bananas from her today. She is still there but just like the photo. Really feel for her. I first saw her selling bananas in the same spot in 2017. She is like a warrior(out there in the heat and rain). I hope she continues.

250? At a simple barber shop probably. But at a salon probably not. I was in Los Angeles last month and a simple haircut at barber shop was $18(about 600 Baht) so I won't complain about the cost of a haircut in LOS.

So the appropriate place to adjudicate a 35 year old accusation is the confirmation hearing for a Supreme Court Nominee. I am not equivocating. In the end Supreme Court Confirmation hearings usually turn political. Anyone recall the hearing for Bork, Thomas, and Garland? In the end it is a done deal: 50-50+VP Tie breaker.

Oh, I got it . Only the Republicans can be "nutters and slimey". So the confirmation hearing for Kavanaugh was civil and not "slimey"? I would agree about Cruz(he is weird) but I would disagree about Josh Hawley. Of course Chick Schumer is always objective and fair? Also, Elizabeth Warren has been the model of consistency and objectivity?

Would you pay THB25K to watch Liverpool v United in a friendly?

It is still a major live sporting event. Also, it is not Yankee Doodle Dandy Football it simply American Football. -
Would you pay THB25K to watch Liverpool v United in a friendly?

For comparison I was in Los Angeles and looked at Super Bowl tickets. The cheapest seats were going for over $1,000 (over 33,000 Baht) and parking was even a bigger ripoff at only $400. This is the growing trend for live major sporting events. The average guy or girl can no longer afford it. -
You can go to Airport Plaza when it opens and take the elevator.

Went this morning to Airport Plaza for the Pfizer booster. I got the first two injections in Los Angeles and it has been more than 6 months since my second injection. Overall the process went smoothly. I read some Thai and understand a little more. But a few foreigners disrupted the flow of events by cutting in line and asking where do I go? Even if you do no read Thai the process was clear if you just stand back watch people go through the steps. The process went like this: 1. Go to the desk in the hallway with your passport, vax documentation and request what you want(1st does, 2nd dose or a booster) 2. The worker at this desk will look over your passport and paperwork and give you a form to complete 3. Wait at the chairs until an employee at the computer station is free to assist you. 4. You will then be registered or your past registration will be confirmed. 5. You are then given a printout with QR code which states which vaccine you will receive(Pfizer, Moderna or Astra Zeneca) 6. Wait at the chairs designated for the specific type of vaccine you will receive. 7. You will be called to get injected 8. After being injected you must wait and be observed for 30 minutes. Your checkout time will be noted by the young lady at the desk. The entire process took 60 minutes but this included the mandatory 30 minute observation. It would have been less time except for the disruption in the process caused by some foreigners. I truly appreciate the fact that I was able to get a booster shot at no expense and was able to do it on a walk-in basis. Chigng Mai Health operates this process smoothly.

No sir. Have been to the Kabul Embassy several times. It was very nice on the inside. Close to the airport and Masoud Circle. Big gym and small convenience store that sold beer and wine. The living quarters were apartments that had blast walsl on the balcony. Of course since September 1 ,2021 it is vacant or the Taliban is having Thursday night parties with young boys dancing(yes this actually happens in A-stan).

Chiang Mai Immigration Q & A - Info and reports. (2020)

"Go to Bangkok Bank at Kad Suan Kaew branch, they have handled many retiree cases like yours. I am not sure whether they can accept your rental agreement without residence cert but you can try first." If one is still on a Tourist Visa it could be a problem. I opened my Bangkok Bank account at this location 6 years ago but I was on a Non OA. . It is worth a try at the KSK branch and ask for Jakarin Sutjarritrak Tel 053-225465-7 Ext 1302. He works the new accounts desk, speaks excellent English and has always been very helpful. -
Not to crash the party but if you transit in a third county a PCR or an Anti-gen test could still required. For the instance used to have Singapore had a 48 hour PCR test requirement just to transit. Things could be different now but after April 1 check to confirm whether or not the transit country has a Covid test requirement or not.

Bangkok’s Bumrungrad Hospital ranked country’s best in global survey
sqwakvfr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Best hospital in Thailand? Ok, I can accept that. Survey of medical experts in 27 countries? What does that have to do with the best hospital in Thailand? 555?? -
Where are you flying to? Your destination will determine exactly what documents and the steps you have to complete before leaving Thailand. I have taken 3 trips out of Thailand in the last 14 months and never needed a Covid Passport.

Yes. I can improve on the symptoms and at times not have symptoms with what I eat, how much I eat and of course reduce stress. All my endoscopies have confirmed the presence of moderate gastritis. I have had 4 endoscopies in a 10 year span and the gastritis diagnosis has been the same. I have not drank black coffee in 10 years. do not eat spicy food, no acidic foods like oranges or even raw onions, daily probiotics, and eat about 60 to 70 % of what a normal adult male eats at each meal. This plan has been effective in reducing gastritis symptoms for more than 10 years. Occasionally I slip up and eat something I should not have and pay the price for about a day or two. Everyone reacts somewhat differently to gastritis. I knew a guy back in the US and he had gut wrenching pain everyday. He looked like a walking skeleton because he did not eat each much and had been on PPI’s for over 20 years. I would prefer not be like him.

Endoscopy at CM Ram was 17,000 Baht. It could be higher or lower now. This included the doctors fee, the actual procedure and the lab biopsy. Last year CM Ram was running a combo Endoscopy/Colonoscopy for 36,000 Baht. I normally get an Endoscopy every 2 to 3 years and did the Colonoscopy at the same time because it had been about 10 years. My gastritis condition has to be monitored to see it has gotten worse because it will never get better. I would at least suggest calling some hospitals in your area and ask what an Endoscopy would cost ?

The most accurate test to diagnose an H. Pylori infection is a biopsy from an endoscopy. A close second is Urea Breath test. The other methods are an antigen stool test or a blood test. I was first diagnosed with H. Pylori in 2007., It took 6 months before my primary care physician authorized a endoscopy. Before the endoscopy I was prescribed 3 different kinds of PPI’s. These PPI’s offered little symptom relief. In the end I was on 2 different kinds of antibiotics and lost 20 pounds. But the H. Pylori was eradicated. I was also diagnosed with gastritis. There is no cure for gastritis. One has to deal with the gastritis attacks when they occur. Sometimes the attacks can be severe. The GI specialist at CM Ram has prescribed a new PPI, Dexilant, which offers great symptom relief. The biggest drawback to Dexilant is the cost(6000 Baht for a one month supply).

All these scans are great diagnostic tools but the only true way to diagnose the problem in the stomach, esaphagus, and small intestine is an endoscopy.. I've had 4 endoscopies in the last 10 years. All have been painless. Your symptoms indicate it could be Gastritis(stomach lining inflammation) or possibly an H Pylori infection.

Thai Air Force Affirms New Fighter Jets Are a ’Necessity’
sqwakvfr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
A Win Win solution. Sine the US is blocking Poland from giving MiG-29's to Ukraine then how about the Thai Air Force taking them off Poland's hands? The F-35's have a steep learning curve in terms of actually flying and of course the maintenance. An F-35 pilot with the assistance of modern technology actually doing the job of two people(pilot and weapons officer). The F-35 pilot helmet alone is over $200,000 because so much information can be displayed on the visor. Also, the actual part of maintaining a stealth aircraft requires specialized training, parts and even cleaning materials(you can't just use soap and water). The Thai Air Force has never had to operate and maintain such an advance aircraft that is very demanding on the pilots and maintenance crew. If the MiG-29's are not available then a squadron of surplus F-16's would be fit the bill. Lot of F-16's are flying and many are parked in boneyards. Why is there a photo of an F-14 on the front page? Even Maverick is supposedly flying an F-18 in the Top Gun sequel. The F-14 Tomcat is long gone and was the premier fighter for US Navy in the 1980's and early 1990's. Even the Iranian Air Force had F-14's. -
You are right but it is close:

Sometimes USAA does the same thing as Wells Fargo. At least with USAA they will send the security code to a Thai Phone Number or my USA based Skye Number. I have one solution you can try with Well Fargo: 1. Open an account with a VOIP provider(such Skye and set up a USA based number) and see if Wells Fargo can send the security code to this number. If Well Fargo will not do this then you might have to change banks. If you have served in the US Military and was honorably discharged then you can try either USAA or even Navy Federal Credit Union. I have been with USAA since Ronald Reagan was president they are very well organized to serve overseas members.

According to the esteemed US Transportation Secretary of Transportation, Mayor Pete, the path forward is to buy EV's. Thanks Pete. Can you spare an extra $100,000 so I can buy a Tesla the next time I go back to the USA. I rented the cheapest car from Enterprise and it was a Mitsubishi Mirage. The Mirage and it's rinky dink 3 cylinder engine got 35 mpg but 0-60 was a rapid 12 seconds. It still cost almost $40 dollars to fill the 9 gallon tank of the Mirage. Today it would it cost me over $50 to fill the tank of the Mirage.
