  1. no flip flop here, just a call to review immigration rules, everyone knows the old rules are outdated and abused
  2. IO need to see bank statement/book that show that he has complied with money in Bank rules, ie 800k for 2 months prior to application and 3 months after stamp in passport, then can drop to 400k until 2 months before new application, been that way for a few years now
  3. I think the problem arises from people's confusion over what is stamped in their passports, a 'visa' is normally issued outside of Thailand, some can be issued inside Thailand ie non immigrant 'O' visa as part of a conversion, but non immigrant 'O''A' can not be issued inside Thailand an 'extension' to the permission to stay is issued inside Thailand, be it 30 days, 60 days or longer all 1,900thb. I think the op is not making it clear what he has and what he wants, this makes it harder to give correct advice
  4. if you do go for the married 1st year to retirement 2nd year, the new extension will start from date of application, not date of expiry of old extension
  5. they want to check all other passports are in the same name, its normal if you have more than 1 nationality wherever you apply from
  6. Rayong, old passport visa info entered onto first page of new passport, but still require original visa
  7. maybe as actual visa is in old passport, yearly extensions always where i live require site of the 'visa'
  8. here are 3 ways to enter Thailand other than with a re-entry permit those are Visa exempt/visa waver at present it gives 60 days entry permission on entry , stamped in passport by immigration officer on entry to Thailand Tourist visa obtained out side Thailand this gives a 60 entry permission on entry Non immigrant 'O' visa this gives a 90 entry permission on entry. this can then in the last 30 days allow for a 1 year extension of your permission to stay stamp. either for marriage or retirement ( over 50) Visa exempt and tourist visa can be converted within Thailand to a Non immigrant 'O' visa as part of a conversion process if you list the dates of any planned trips someone could advise the best course of action
  9. does your actual visa expire on 21st may, or the latest 90 day permission to stay stamp you received on entry into Thailand' another option would be another visa from savannakhet
  10. get someone in to have a look around
  11. made 2 transfers this week 1st one went through in seconds, 2nd one a day later was delayed 2 hours which they informed me at the time, so did transfer at 8am, money in bank at 9.55am, both from UK
  12. Gaccha still waiting for the link, as you are the only one saying old passport has to be sent to UK
  13. does that include the rear passengers
  14. Thai visa express also can do whole process done 2 for me, there may be others as well
  15. a NIC class 3 stamp is £17.45 weekly, paying for 1 year, would add £ 6.88 weekly to your pension, so 2.5 years to draw even, live to be older than 70 to gain. a class 2 stamp of £3.45 weekly (£180 per year ) would take receiving the increased amount for 6 months to draw even.
  16. the only things i can think are, something needs further clarification on your passport, the person dealing with the application has made a mistake, or something not clear on the copies submitted,
  17. class 3 ( voluntary) contributions are about £17 per week, class 2 (self employed ) are about £3.50 per week. you only have until 5th April to pay for any gaps older than 6 years, there are rules that govern paying class 2 when working overseas. see here - https://www.gov.uk/pay-class-2-national-insurance/if-you-work-or-live-abroad
  18. op did you submit colour photo copies of every page in your passport
  19. used it many times on different cars never had a problem, apply and remove with a clean micro cloth. your choice
  20. man up its your passport , do the report once a year if you want, just makes the yearly extension 3,900thb
