  1. should be 90 days from date of application for yearly extension quote '' The first application for extension of stay by the foreigner is equivalent to the notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days'' taken from here - https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=1666
  2. my understanding it that one should get cover from leaving home country to returning to home country, there was a thread on here that explained this a short while ago
  3. as long as its 12volts, some dashcams as well as usb are 5volts, would also need a fuse
  4. the fitter called round today to drop off the panels, now going for Deye inverter with a 48v 240ah battery set up.
  5. i am thinking of having a solar system installed at first without batteries, but with the intension of adding later, the inverters that the chap uses are either a Huawei sun 2000 3KTL L1 or a Deye Lvtosun 5kw, i seem to recall reading somewhere that Huawei inverters only allow expensive Huawei batteries to be used, if so if i chose the Deye inverter instead could cheaper battery solutions be used.
  6. op you will be missed, but please stay in touch with more wisdom,
  7. both the same price, marriage 400,000thb only has to be in the bank for 2 months, or maybe 3 at some offices, a few more forms etc than retirement, retirement money can not drop below 400,000thb
  8. you can open an account with a tourist visa, try other banks and if they all fail, use an agent to open the account
  9. do you believe what you posted, if so you must be a Politian, everyone that enters the UK in a plastic dinghy is an illegal immigrate, and needs to be placed in a detention camp or deported
  10. don't forget the re-entry permit after you get the 1 year extension
  11. op best to go and apply for the yearly extension in the last month of the 90 day non immigrant visa stamp, so 17th November on wards, the money needs to have seasoned for 2 months the only extensions allowed on a non immigrant 'O' visa area yearly or a 60 day visit Thai wife, i assume the money was in the bank when he applied for the visa,
  12. I went and applied on monday, they rang today to come see us, but we were out so made an anointment for tomorrow wednesday, he could travel abroad during the 7 weeks but he will have to start process again on re-entry, he applied too early, some offices do the 30 day period from the date of application as does mine, but others start the 30 days from expiry of old permission to stay stamp, I think you are making a mountain out of a mole hill
  13. not available in Thailand at the moment i believe
  14. married yearly extension always have a 30 day under consideration period, i don't see where you are getting the '70 day home bound' from, you would only be stuck near to home, not at home until the home visit is concluded, which is normally a few days after the application, and at most 30 days, as to travelling out of the country while having an under consideration period, reentering Thailand would require a fresh entry stamp, thereby losing the yearly extension, and starting from scratch. what is so important about travelling during that 30 day period once a year, which in reality is only a few days waiting for the home visit. if the married extension is too troublesome try a different long term solution that is trouble free and immediately issued
  15. I would break the car for bits and keep the number plates and book as a reminder, but they could be useful to someone who wants to put a restored vehicle back on the road, what is the age make and model of the vehicle
  16. i think it will be hard to get the material, i would look at buying some 2nd hand seats from a breaker
  17. regardless of where they enter from, if entering on a tourist visa they will get a 60 day entry stamp, is entering on a visa exempt entry they will get a 30 day entry stamp, both can be extended by 30 days at a local immigration ofice
  18. Rayong do yearly home visits for marriage extension, if no children
  19. what cars sold in Thailand are using LFP batteries, and are any EV cars built or planned to be built in Thailand
