  1. It was 365 Sport. I used it for about five years (it was very good) and suddenly one day it was gone some time in 2016. I made it just a few days before renewing my subscription.
  2. Nice one, Barry One can talk of the old and even older days but, human behaviour has shown us they will never be able to "live as one" (John Lennon) In today's world, one without borders, any ideas how that might work? I admire so much those profound words of John Lennon but unfortunately, they are only for those who can "Imagine"
  3. An interesting reply. If you only do things for fun and have little wish to improve, then, sure, go ahead with it in that way. But me and Olympians have fun and recognise that training and perfecting one's skills is required as well. We shouldn't denigrate those who choose to pursue ambition! In my life, I have been a singer, a serious runner, a cyclist, a snooker player with my own full size table, a winemaker and a businessman. My philosophy with all of these was, I want to learn, improve and feel some level of achievement consistent with my ability. I am passionate (not obsessive) about anything that is worthwhile.
  4. I have just last week changed over to Pulse Tv (pulse-tv.net) You can access all channels of BBC, ITV, SKY, BT sports and many others After one week's viewing, including great Olympic coverage, I can say I am happy so far Of the three options available, I have chosen first to trial at B1,000 per month so if you are in doubt about commitment... There is an option to buy a set top box but I am managing for the moment without, using my PC. Check it out, see what you think. If you have VPN, set it to Thailand. If you want to contact them, they are very quick to respond and helpful. I am waiting myself to see about Premiership football which is shown to be on various channels, as none of them have exclusivity. But all games for this season I think are covered. Good Luck
  5. They are following their passion. Sacrifices are what most people have to endure and accept, in order to reach levels of excellence. Has that not ever happened to you?
  6. I think if you DID care about the Olympics, you would understand why Countries have feelings of pride and why their citizens have those feelings too. Most of the enjoyment I get from all of this is the actual competition and watching skill and strength and speed. Win or lose, I am very happy. For me, the Olympics is that time when I shout for the athletes of my Country. I want them to win but I am only momentarily disappointed when they lose. I am proud of all of them knowing well the sacrifices they and their families go through for years. The medals achieved are something to have bragging rights about but not necessarily to actually shout about them from the rooftops. Feelings of pride for most people not closely affected in these situations, are strong at the time but they subside and they just remain memories. This kind of pride is not vanity.
  7. For those whinging, your comments are off topic. The topic is not a platform for your ill-perceived and pre-conceived opinions of validity of the games or any of its merits or otherwise. So please don't spoil it for those who DID get something from it.
  8. I got an immense amount from it. I watched on the BBC, Eurosport and other dedicated Olympic Channels every hour of every day and felt really involved emotionally, including The Opening and Closing Ceremonies. It makes grown men cry (including myself) It makes all the women cry. They cry if they win, they cry if they lose, they cry just because they were there from incredible stories arising from Covid and injury and so many other factors. I first watched in 1960 and have watched every Olympiad since then, I love it and wouldn't miss it for the world. I enjoyed the new skateboarding and climbing events. My first experience of watching live at a venue, was the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, 1986. I was inspired so the next year I went to the World Athletics Championships in Rome, absolutely amazing. I vowed that on my absolute bucket list I would get an experience at the Olympic Games and when Tokyo was given the games for 2020, I said it would be my plan to go since living in Thailand might make it a little easier. I was thwarted by Covid-19. I will be 79 in 2024 when Paris comes along but my plan is already in motion and I will include it in a round the world tour with my wonderful Thai wife. She will want to watch the Volleyball but only if there is a Thai in it!
  9. I think the different browsers are partly the issue here. When searching for a product, almost of anything, on the same browser on one device, the precise same product is being offered at greatly varying prices by different sellers. And the pictures of them are often exactly the same as well. Shopping around, is the way, taking account of delivery charge also.
  10. Catching a "suspect" is not the same as having definitive proof they have the right man? In that sense, it is NOT "finished"
  11. So what happened to the "belief", there was a rape involved - what was the evidence for this belief when discovering the body?
  12. "A native of Phuket" Whatever you say, don't say, 'Thai' person!
