Paperwork is clogging up government departments in Thailand
Eaglekott replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I think the answer to why they need the same copies of your papers to be filed year after year is that they have no clue where the papers you filed last year are, And if the think they know they are no way they can find them among all the other documents. So more easy to ask for new copies... Probably they have cut the documents you filed last year in to smaller pieces and use the back side for notes. -
For me my Embassy in Thailand do not register the marriage with a Thai citizen. I had to send a certified translation and a copy of our original Marriage certificate validated by two signatures to my government. They registered it in a week. I guess different Embassies does this differently.

They prepare all the documents so you do not have to, Only have to visit your embassy with your wife and bring the papers the agent has prepared for you. Done in a few minutes, Then they translate the documents into Thai, They certify them somewhere and put post stamps and certification stamps that the transitions is correct and verified. They get the documents needed for your wife that she is in a state that she can get married, (Certification that she is divorced if any) They fix the needed witnesses and book time at the Amphur, and sit and wait in cue line for you so your time at the Amphur is down to a minimum. After they translate the original Thai marriage certificate to english so you can register your marriage in your home country easy. A lot of going back and forth with paperwork you do not have to do if hire an agency. But of cause if you have some days to spend in cues and travel back and forth to get your papers in order you can do it by your self very easy.

I recently got Married and got help from a friend that has being doing this many times and knew the staff at their Amphur so she knew what they needed. Some staff at the Amphur was witness for free. We easy and hassle free, she also took care of all translations and certification of documents and even got a translation of the certificate back to English. We gave her 10,000 plust govt fees for the work, Was well worth it. I got quoted 30,000 plus govt fees form some agencies when I was looking around.

You just don't have to read it then, other want me to post it. About the cases it is the official number of cases provided by the Ministry of Public Health. If 1 is reported, I put 1, if 1242 is reported I put 1242. Simple as that. -

Isn't the TM6 card scrapped?
-
No It will not work. Not too far away where I live they recently put up traffic lights by a zebra crossing. Motor bikes does not stop for the red light. Many cars also. And many of those that actually stopped for the red light after you have started to cross, they drive as soon as the pedestrian has passed, even if the light is still red.

The father of a friend of mine died and the funeral got scheduled so he would miss the date to get his yearly stamp. He was told to go to immigration and "reset" the under consideration stamp to postpone the pick up of the full stamp with another month. So you should be able to postpone your 12 months stamp if you need to go in a bad time.

I have mentioned them in earlier posts but I can do again, One was a bit over 50 Years old, only had pre stage of diabetes, something that usually don't kill you. He died before vaccine was widely spread and early in the pandemic. The other guy, The son of one of a very good friend of mine, he died in his mid 20s, with no underlaying conditions, he was against Vaccine until it became too late. None of them were overweight.

I also know many people unvaccinated that had fever and was sick for a few days, I also know 2 guys that has died from it. Why take that risk? Tell my dead friends they were brainwashed.

Use Grab, and make sure to select "Grab TAXI" it is cheaper than Bolt and others, Pay meter that they start when they pick you up + 20 Baht. "Grab Car or Just Grab" has same price or maybe even higher than Bolt.

Im not even sure its possible to go those suggested routes any longer, they seams to go through Russia. Does passenger trains go that route? And if they do who would travel with them?

Prices for flights is a lot depending on availability and demand, If the demand is higher than seats available prices go up fast. I also believe most air lines do not have staff yet to bring all their planes up in the air. Even ground staff has not enough staff, and when I was checking in yesterday the nice lady at the checkin counter, told me they were terrible understaffed. The queue line at the check in counter was extremely long. Never seen it this long with only 3 economy checkin counters open, 3 Gold members/Business class fast track checkin helped as much as they could. Before they open the gate (was very late) the same lady came rushing to help with the gate work. They started boarding at scheduled departure time. Well in Bangkok we had to wait close to one hour before the first bags hit the luggage carousel.

New entry requirements from 1 July
Eaglekott replied to TPDH's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
When I arrived yesterday it was like they were not interested in my Vaccine status at all. I handed over my passport including a filled Arrival card that I believe they just trashed, and checked my re-entry stamp. They stamp I'm back and handed me my passport. Ok, I was holding my Vaccine passport and they might have seen I had it, but never bothered to ask to see it. Another Note is I also went to the immigration side for Thai Passports with my wife. Maybe they do not ask for proof of vaccination on that side? -
TM6 cards scrapped?
Eaglekott replied to hotandsticky's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Im not so sure, Yesterday with Thai Air, they handed them out I filled it in and gave it to the Immigration office together with my passport, She took the whole and no little slip back to me. I guess she just trashed it for me not to make me confuse. -
Still very lucky. And I believe that the natural immunity defenses is better that vaccine, and I also believe that all of us will catch Covid on a regular basis and every time we do we will naturally boost our immune defense. Vaccines is very good to teach your immune defense to be prepared before you get exposed to it the first time. Might also be good to maintain your defense levels with boosters.
