  1. Thanks. Yes, that has crossed my mind but got to assume I'll be OK. Can always cancel the reservation
  2. I am looking to rent a car from Suvarnabhumi Airport. On arrival, I will be whisked away to a local hotel for the 1 day quarantine. This may be a silly question but I assume I can go back to the airport the following day to pick up the hire car from 2nd floor ?
  3. What they fail to say is that the FC ticket price is 40% more expensive than pre-Covid.
  4. Yep, I'm still going in December and was planning to spend a week in Pattaya with Mrs Chelseafan and family but she's just cancelled the three rooms and we'll spend the time in Korat instead.
  5. My dog believes your neighbours goldfish should run for PM next year,,,
  6. Here's the translated text Yep I agree. I'm going in December to hook up with family and I'll be mightily peeved if I can't get a "legal" beer in a bar.
  7. I hope they open on Dec 1st but comments from his highness telling establishments to "stop being selfish" don't bode well. If they don't open bars/clubs until after Christmas then they should put up a disclaimer on the Thai Pass system saying so. (tongue-in-cheek)
  8. Whilst I should have titled it "possible no drinking until January" the article included the following :- "However, at the meeting of the Ministry of Public Health today (9 Nov. Y. 64) there were discussions about the measures to open pubs, bars, karaoke, entertainment venues after the new year 2022, which this issue will be proposed to the Prof. meeting tomorrow (10 Nov. Oh, my God. . 254) for further consideration of the approach. " You stated the article said "that the CCSA will discuss the possibility of opening bars when they meet again on Friday" Stop spreading misinformation
  9. My bar-owner-fried said the same but I posted earlier (now deleted) that the CCSA are considering post christmas opening of bars - Should find out next week.
  10. Silly question I know but have you checked your spam box ? That's where my QR code was.
  11. This has probably been mentioned before but I suspect most of us are applying for the Thai Pass as we have a vested interested in Thailand HOWEVER How frickin' insane do you have to be to go through all this hassle as a first-time tourist ? If I meet you in Thailand then I'm giving you a very wide berth!!!!!! ????
  12. Applied today, no middle names on vaccine certificate but middle names on passport. No issues, in fact it took 7 mins for them to authorise. If they are being manually checked then maybe some of them are more lenient than others
  13. Thanks. I understand all that. I'm more worried about uploading the vaccine certificate with an expiry 2D barcode date of 6th Dec. If the Thai authorities notice that and see I am travelling on 19th dec (whereby that particular barcode would have expired) will they still authorise me to travel or not.
  14. If I generate a QR today its valid for 30 days, i.e 6th Dec but I travel on 19th Dec. Can I upload this QR code onto the Thailand Pass website and generate a new one a few days before I fly ?
  15. Ok, so it doesn't matter that when I travel the QR code I upload will be out of date ?
  16. My QR code expires on 6th Dec and I'm travelling on 19th Dec, so when uploading the 2 vaccine certificates, are you saying crop out the QR code and just send everything else ? What about passport number ? or is that not required ? As per below (with name and DOB of course)
  17. What poll ? What questions were asked ? What was the size of the poll Where did the poll take place ? Were there any leading questions ? What company conducted the poll ? Were they independant ? Just some of many questions I have when an article says "A recent poll shows..."
  18. As far as I understand it, this is soo wrong. You may REDUCE THE RISK of being a super spreader but to say everyone who is vaccinated prevents spreading Covid is false.
  19. That's true but it's also what differeniates Thailand from the other countries. Thailand boasts of 40 million visitors a year but that doesn't translate as 40 million unique visitors. A good proportion of those travel 2-3 times a year to wet their wang in places like Pattaya.
  20. Yes many people I know came 2-3 times a year too but of the 40m that visit each year, I'd be amazed if more than 1% are repeaters.
