Thailand plans 71.6 kilometres expressway connecting Samut Sakhon and Samut Prakan
Brilliant - building an expressway between two provinces over land which will probably be partially permanently under water by the time the project is completed.

Some advice/opinions please on moving to Hua Hin
Khun LA is spot on. Good idea to come and check Hua Hin out. As noted above, there are advantages and disadvantages, as with most places. You have your own transportation, which I think is necessary. Hua Hin Hospital, the government one, is great; but being the largest hospital between Muang Petchaburi and Muang Prachuap Khiri Khan, it is very very busy in the mornings (need to arrive before 8.00 am, or after 1.00 pm if you want a car park).

If the heading is correct, then all the legal firms in Thailand that employ foreigners who provide tax advice are breaking the law.

TSH level
Sorry, I do not share your condition. I presume that you are consulting a good endocrinologist. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 20 years ago. About 8 years ago I began a 4 year period of moving between hyper- and hypothyroidism, now stabilised at the former. During the 4 year period of oscillation I had 3-monthly blood work done to monitor changes. Considering the half-life period of the medication you are taking, would it not be better to work on a 2-day period/cycle of dosage variation rather than a weekly basis (which is what I had to do for a period of time due to the medication pill dosage requirement and the very small pill size making pill splitting difficult)? Good luck. I hope someone here can offer more concrete advice.

Human rights - Thailand = oxymoron. Thailand's security forces have immunity for almost any activity members engage in.

International Driving Permit from Surat Thani.
I could be wrong, but I remember being told a few years ago that one can only obtain an IDP at the LTD office in provincial capitals, not district offices, using only a valid Thai driver's license.

Don’t ban TEMU: Thai experts call for enhanced trade standards
I have read some reviews of TEMU on an Australian website - overall, very bad reviews. Poor quality products and products not matching TEMU's pictures.

Australian non tax resident- non-financial issues.
This is secondhand, so I do not know how reliable it is. Last year an old Australian friend who had been working in Thailand for about 20 years, but had not been back to Australia for 7-8 years, had to verify his identity online with his Australian bank. He was required to use 3 of 4 forms of identity - passport number, birth certificate number, Medicare card number or driver's license number - he used the first three, no problems.

Horrific Bus Fire in Thailand Sparks National Debate on Safety
What a distressing read; especially the posts from people, life myself, who have lived in Thailand for 10+ years and have been visiting Thailand for more than 50 years. Nothing changes, as the rich and powerful will ensure that any changes which do take place will not disadvantage them in any way. I recently read an academic article by two Thai academics about "contract farmers" and a powerful agribusiness company. The company concerned pressured Thai law makers to "weaken" the draft law on the rights of the contract farmers; when they only partially succeeded in weakening the law, the company then pressured the relevant government department to not enforce the new laws. Result - farmers' poverty increased, the company got richer. TIT. Of course, the company cannot be named, due to Thai defamation laws (which contravene the "Western" understanding of "defamation"). Want to change the system? Learn from the experiences of the Move Forward Party and the Future Forward Party - if you are lucky, you have a warning to stop pushing for change, if not, then there is time in prison, and, if that does not change your attitude, finally death (sorry, I mean you disappear). When the cancers of corruption and cronyism extend from the top to the bottom of a society, there is no treatment, no cure, only a slow painful death.
