  1. Yes, like there's absolutely no police in Pattaya and they never check anyone's documents, also it's right next to the airport and nothing could ever happen between there and the immigration desk at Swampy. I wonder if you'd be happy dealing with police on overstay instead?
  2. Not sure about your model, but if phone needs to be taken apart to replace battery, the Huawei service center at Central Si Racha (some 20km north of Pattaya) is probably the best Huawei service center in Thailand.
  3. Of course if he had a police checkpoint or an accident on the way to the airport, it would be very different. Nobody wants to mention that?
  4. "Twentyfiveteen" is such a divisive number! I would have otherwise expected it to drop significantly (like to 0) at Twenty...
  5. Maybe you. Now please start paying child support to bank account number ..........
  6. And for as long as Thailand is full of losers who couldn't get into anyone's panties without widely opening their wallets, or whatever modern digital alternative might be, this is set to continue...
  7. No fireball after impact? EV haters are going to hate this!
  8. I find the last paragraph of linked article interesting... During the arrest, the police retrieved an iPhone 14 Pro, described as purple, among eight other pieces of evidence. Interestingly, among the nine pieces of evidence gathered, the reported 10,000 baht in cash and the hotel key were not listed. I don't want to speculate what happened with them...
  9. Not sure you're considered a tourist, staying over half a year in country. But then, that could be fixed by simply returning to 180 days per year maximum stay in Thailand without non-immigrant visa.
  10. Does it bite if it finds a sausage? Maybe that's Yanhee surgeon dog...
  11. It is when it's actually a seat cushion loaded with drugs...
  12. AseanNow surely knows how to match cover photos with stories... There's one on a British Man, too. But it's against the rules to discuss fellow members...
  13. Who were the people coming off the plane in linked article photos then?
  14. With all due respect, his English is still much better than your Thai. And same goes for all other posters mocking the wrong words in original post. Thaiger obviously could afford to hire proofreaders. But would you guys be willing to pay for your news?
  15. Was this cabbie one of those complaining how "illegal app drivers" are destroying the reputation of Phuket?
  16. There were warnings when switch from light rail to mono rail happened some years back, that monorail wasn't supposed to run such long distances and there will be frequent maintenance requirements, which wouldn't make it economical to run. But savings in construction were substantial and that's what went ahead. Someone correct me if my memory is acting up. Anyway - the power rails falling off was probably not part of the initial discussion on maintenance costs. It's probably got something to do about quality of workmanship in installing those rails...
  17. That last statement in linked article, though... "Adcha has made no public comment regarding the punishment, if any, for two green plate taxi drivers who assaulted a Grab taxi driver, leaving him hospitalised with a punctured lung."
  18. In browser or any phone, logged in or not, you have "advertising ID". You can usually reset it in the settings to clear history. But it doesn't care if you're logged in or not. It's using your phone or browser ID to track you.
  19. Social media apps are known to rip information out of your conversations and sell the keywords. Tested it a few times, by talking irrelevant stuff and behold, within hours, ads for the same stuff showed up on websites, YouTube, etc. It is not part of Android, though. As there was no such effect when using a blank phone with no apps installed.
