So what are you saying? That Trump is a GENUINE idiot?
-
This one is rather interesting: So Trump's biggest fanboy is actually in regular connect with US adversary Putin, and discussing how to ruin US interests in Pacific to help another adversary Xi. You couldn't make this up if you wanted to. I just picked one of the links - there are actually many, this one is random. Hopefully not against forum policies: Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has reportedly kept in contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin since late 2022, according to a new report by The Wall Street Journal. The article, published Thursday night, says that Putin and Musk discussed topics from personal issues to geopolitical tensions. In one such conversation, two people familiar with the matter told the Journal that Putin had asked Musk not to activate his Starlink satellites over Taiwan as a "favor" to Chinese leader Xi Jinping. https://www.newsweek.com/putin-reportedly-asked-elon-musk-not-activate-starlink-over-taiwan-1974733

My Microsoft Word has been 'deactivated'. What can I do?

Meaning you were using illegal MS Office package with corporate licensing, and that corporation either revoked the licenses, or Microsoft did, and as you were using illegal software, they have now blacklisted you. Office 365 (not trial, but purchase) might be your option, but possibly a better option would be (if you don't mind paying for it) to completely uninstall the Office from your PC, then install a genuine Office 2022, which actually isn't particularly expensive. There are illegal ways to get office installed without paying for a key like a few posts up, should you want to go that way, it's your decision. -
I'm looking out the window... all is see are shadows of some towers nearby through the haze making the rest of the sky grey. That's the view I'll have until June or July. You ICE fanboys are surely contributing to it. Please go out and use your lungs to filter the air for us a bit, will you?

Foreigner Wrecks Chiang Mai Stall After Smoking Ban Warning
tomazbodner replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
For smoking in a no-smoke area and showing his entitlement to smoke wherever he wants, even it's next to a gas tank. I don't care if he was smoking in a methane tank, as long as he's alone and not causing trouble or putting others at risk. Or at least, if warned of it, apologise and stop. But a self-entitled idiot who cites his freedom to put others in danger deserves whatever comes to him. I used to live in Pratunam and 2 such Darwin award winners got the gas tanks to ignite and burn half the market down, injuring several innocent people that were in the wrong place at the wrong time. So if it's only his face burned off to avoid hurting others - let him have it. -

This is not accurate. There are 2 words missing right at the end: "right now". It's "I'm literally shaking right now." -

Was just dialing X.com and Truth Social to complain over bias towards Trump. But then remembered who owns them... But seriously - Trump is in the news 24/7 all over the Globe. I am confident if you picked random 1000 individuals spread all around the World, they'd all recognise Donald, but some might have a challenge with the photo of Kamala...

Why would EU laws apply in Thailand? Anyway, our condo just announced new rules that were agreed on a couple of months ago. You can see some additional requirements for foreigners, which force (rightfully) the owner of the unit to deal with immigration. Had I been renting out, I'd certainly want to avoid that hassle and would not consider foreigner as a tenant. On the "plus" side - the part of reporting unregistered tenants to police for trespassing has now been removed, and replaced with blanket "Prohibition of Short-term Rentals" part. Our condo enforces the rules far more stringently than our neighbours. That's how they enforce "No pet" policy... Meow...

I have planes flying past my window (DMK, not BKK) but I don't hear them. So it's definitely possible to sound proof the unit not to hear them. Obviously it's an extra expense to use double glazed windows, but it'll help with aircon bills as well. Maybe you could try that first, unless the whole building is shaking when planes fly by?
