  1. Similarly I went to CW for annual visa renewal last week. I only filled up the form and did the temperature check. The security didn't ask for vaccination or test verifications.
  2. Every owner will vouch that their Rottweiler and other aggressive dogs are well trained and good nature until incident like this happened. There must be good reasons why certain countries banned entry of these aggressive dogs and those already in the country have very strict rules on keeping them like need to be on the lead and muzzled. Thailand must review those laws on keeping such kind of dogs as incidents like this has been re-occurring too often and little legal recourse for the victims.
  3. I will go easy with the fish/meat balls and also noddles. Borax as a food additive is often added or soaked to make the meatballs and noddles crunchy. Too much borax is harmful epecially to children and pregnant ladies.
  4. I know. It is because MTU is the world leading submarine diesel engines manufacturer known for its robust and reliability. Also MTU has supplied diesel engines to China for their navy in the past. Now you know.
  5. Gone are those happy days of 'just in time' stock management. Now I have to manage stock based on 'just in case''. Forget about having stock in the right place at the right time. Supply disruptions, price increases and shipping turmoil have rendered managing stock and ability to pass costs a nightmare for businesses. No one really know how long this economic shock will last. Some said 7-10 days of denying Russia any sort of victory will force Putin to negotiate. I will stay hopeful.
  6. When the average price of diesel in the world for this period is about 65-70 B, I learn to be grateful that diesel here is still around 30 B. A rare decision making that I agree.
  7. The punishing sanctions by the united western allies and some in Asia Pacific on Russia will no doubt affected global economy. Short of direct military conflict with Russia amid its muderous invasion of Ukraine, sanctions are the best options. I am sure Russia expected the measures but they didn't anticipate so much sanctions taken so swiftly. Even historically neutral countries like Switzerland , Finland and even Singapore have join sanctions efforts. These sanctions will cripple Russia for years and will deeply affect the regular folks and create unrests and trouble for Putin ????.
  8. True she lost a daughter and wanted some kind of financial compensation.
  9. This soap drama is being dragged on by her mum who has a financial agenda. Lots of criticism levied at her for asking for 30 million Baht to forgive companions of the boat accident.
  10. Let's see. Watana got maximum jail time of 50 years for corruption in the 2.5 billion Baht housing project. Wonder how many years for K Suthep in his corruption indictment for building contract worth 5.84 billion Baht. He is still walking free.
  11. I will say that it’s also linked to increase alcohol consumption in Thailand. Alcohol can cause weight gain. Stop your body burning fat, high in kilojoules, make you feel hungry and lead to poor food choice.
  12. Probably following the lead of majority of ASEAN countries including Mynmar. Thailand holds the chair and will be odd if Thailand don't vote in unison with other members. Only Vietnam and Laos abstain.
  13. Young people may be desperate for money but not stupid. Risking death and possibility of not getting paid if Ukraine fall. It's not an oversea job assignment with good living conditions but physical challenges, logistic problems and complex risky war situation.
  14. Repatriation is nothing but a smokescreen to Putin hanging on to the distorted ideology that Ukrainian and Russian are one and the same people. Welcome to the next stage of urban warfare in Kherson where the Ukrainians have the advantage.
  15. Her son should be around 18-19 years old now. Most probably living & studying in UK with her mum who was rumoured granted asylum status. Her husband Anusa left his high profile job with CP and I guess staying in UK too.
  16. The OAG and NACC got together to indict Yingluck after she went live on facebook asking a one-on-one discussion with Prayut. Off course Prayut went off the rail and OAG and NACC decided to bend backwards to please their overlord. https://www.thaienquirer.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Thai-Enquirer-Summary-March-1-2022.pdf
  17. These are some of the key rehabilitation actions that were taken to allow TA to book a neat profit, - Reduce the fleet from 103 to 76 jets by 2025 - re-negotiated reduction of debts with airplane lessors - re-structured of debt load of $12.9 B that was agreed by creditors - 170 B Baht on debt extension and debt-to-equity conversion - inject 50B Baht in new capital - re-start international flights in Q4 - laid off 30% of staffs
  18. Asia will feel the effects of the Ukraine situation from slow down in economic growth in the European Union countries through higher energy prices and lower business confidence and to some extent trade. European Union countries are major trading partners for many Asian countries. The higher energy prices will also directly impact Asia economies and on commodities. Asia governments will have to be ready with fiscal policies to meet those challenges on top of the Omicron surge and US impending rate hike.
  19. The money had exceeded the security amount and reached more than 10 million baht within three hours after the call. Just brightened up my day reading this. ????
  20. The region not spared with record high. Singapore 26,032, Malaysia 27,182, Indonesia 55,441 and Vietnam 45,491 infections (CNA). The only silver lining is that Omicron variant is 75% less likely to kill than Delta strain according to South Korea's health authority. I echo your call for folks to be safe and vaccinated.
  21. True in what you saying. Really down to individual governments to reduce the income inequality by fiscal policies like direct and indirect taxation and social policies. Some countries are quite reluctant to employ taxation to reduce inequality like UK and US.
  22. There are differences between flavoured and non flavoured tea. Asean population prefer flavoured tea rather than the traditional tea like in China or Taiwan. Whether in Singapore, Malaysia or Indonesia, folks like the tea sweetened with sugar or milk like teh tarik or bubble tea. The marketing thrust to market thai tea as 'face of Asean' is spot on.
  23. Refreshing thoughts. Personally I viewed the social democracy system score well in terms of participation and narrowing the income inequality.
