  1. WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH ! clap2.gif

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"in 2007, the Malaysian government announced plans to develop Kuala Lumpur International Airport into the world's biggest LCC hub. However, the purpose-built LCC terminal is no longer in service for budget carriers, and is now used for other purposes, he said. Bangkok is now the biggest base for AirAsia Group in terms of passenger numbers and growth, he added."

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

yes true the old LCCT in KL is closed. But the reason is they actually built a NEW low cost terminal, called KLIA2, which is in operation since early 2014, and is probably the best and most luxurious low-cost-Terminal the world has ever seen and will ever have.

    -

    -

    -

    some more nonsense:

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Currently, more than 15 airlines, including Nok Air, Thai Lion Air and THAI Smile Airways, base their operations at Don Mueang."

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THAI SMILE do NOT base their operations at Don Mueang. They base their operations at Suvarnabhumi and have only a few flights out of DMK

There are lots of bad spats between Tony and the Malaysian Airport Authority even from the beginning when plan for a new LCCT was announced. I remembered Tony even tell the government that he will build the LCC himself and the old LCCT has already reached its maximum capacity. There were lots of promises that Tony felt was not honored like the airport tax increases and the aero bridges. So bottom line is that Tony ever the shrew business man is not happy because of the cost AA paid to the authority for use if the new LCCT. DM is by far still cheaper than LCCT and could be reason for his comment. By the way, Tony minced no word qhen condemning Najib's government.

  2. Why can't a simple question be asked, and answered. How did her finances and assets, rise astronomacly during her time in Government?

Have it occured to you that the stock market rose from about 700 to 1,500 pts and SC Assets share increased double digit last 3 years. She also have been cleared by SET commission of any wrong doings. I hope you are thinking for yourself and not follow what some of the other regular TVF critics are harping or rather rumouring.

  3. If there were an election today with Yingluck vs the general, Yingluck would win by a landslide.

This is what the general is up against if he punishes Yingluck.

If someone thinks he isn't aware of this, well...

How does he put the hammer to Yingluck without hurting himself badly with the people?

    24vljic.jpg

Seriously,do you think the large minority vote she received last time has the potential to have increased since the last election?

I don't. I think she might still get the largest minority but much reduced and much closer to the Dems total. And only then if all the usual election shannanigans were permitted.

She still faces potential charges of illegal electioneering from her trips up North after she dissolved parliament which may or may not be progressed.

I don't think she or her family enjoy the popularity they used to. Now it just about money and many are reluctant to even take the Shin shilling - but may succumb to the intimidation and coercing. A lot of people realize now what a vote for the Shin really means - more wealth for the Shins and little else.

Maybe a good point to bring up to the junta. Really nothing to fear. Keep the 1997 charter with full elected upper and lower house. The Shins are a spent force. Hold election immediately. Somehow there are lots of disconnect what the junta think and your situation analysis.

  4. this female is that dense she thinks she can get in there with her childish demeanor and all the men will fall at her feet and feel sorry for her. If they actually broadcast it people would think it is playschool with her hopeless ability to even string together a sentence that makes any sense. Someone really needs to tell her that having the mental capacity of a 10y/o and buying your degrees from a US university does not make you smart but then again it will be so funny to see her totally stuff this up as all the truth about exactly what she has presided(or should I say never presided) over and her full stupidity comes forth from her own mouth

Disgusting post denigrating Thailand's first female PM. She may not have been a 'great' but she has achieved far more than you or I ever will and deserves much credit for her fortitude. Luckily the vast majority of Thais support her - don't believe me? hold a FREE and FAIR election. The only 'stupidity' comes from your ignorant mouth because you have not 'caught on' as to why this is all happening (and NO it cannot be discussed here fool).

yes we know all the red/ptp apologists simply want to get into her pants and ignore the fact she is as thick as two short planks, she was far too silly to be pm(but it did improve her shopping trips/time overseas), pity all her fans think with their little heads instead of their big ones. Please show me where she was ever great or achieved anything worthwhile, ohoh, thats right, she held a contest for smart pretty girls, I actually sat and passed my own diplomas, something she has never done, I also write my own thoughts, again something she is totally unable to do, smart, you have to be joking, she is the biggest laugh in Thailand, krusty the clown would be proud of her. She never attended any of the rice scam meetings, was rarely even in the parliament building, every time she opened her mouth she showed the worlds how pathetic she was. As for the people supporting her, is that what you call paying the poor/farmers to vote for a thaksin puppet/ having the reds terrorize the country to do the shins bidding. Actually it can be discussed but then again we all know the shin fanatics would get extremely upset to have the truth of all the corruption that she and her brother oversaw come to light, the last thing any shin fan wants is the truth about their glorious leader and all his puppets coming out

Yet she got elected and will stand a good chance to get elected if she not banned for next 5 years. The people got it right but you, I am not sure. Maybe due to your excessive hyperbole.

  5. Anusorn is too kind and polite with his criticism of Chuan. Chuan sold out his party principle. The oldest party in Thailand was positioned to be the democracy beacon for the people and was called the people's party for their stance against militarism politics. Fast forward and see Chuan pandering to the elites and the military. He also associated his party to the vastly corrupted Sutherp because he was a big party financier. He is also soft in his leadership allowing the unpopular Ahbisit to continue to be leader and not listening to senior members pushing for party reform.

  6. I believe I once posted, and post again, it is a vicious circle that will go on and on until laws are enforced:

    VICIOUS CIRCLE:

The coup détat circle = > Military Government > Coup détat > Interim Constitution >Constitution > Election > Elected Government > Coup détat > Military Government > Coup détat > Interim Constitution >Constitution > Election > Elected Government > Coup détat > ad infinitum!!

Until the cycle is broken, using punishments and laws accordingly.... nothing will ever be achieved in Thailand, IMHO!

The only way the cycle is broken is when the judiciary, agencies and military reform. Punishments and laws subscribed to all equally without fear and not subjected to patronage to the politically powerful and the wealthy.

That's true Eric. And that would include applying them to elites like the Shins without fear of reprisal from their private militia.

And don't forget to add the yellow elites hiring their mobs at courts and the PDRC blocking polling stations.

Look at Indonesia, it has shown the way in how to break free from decades of military dictatorship. Google the Gecko and the Crocodile.

I have always said that Indonesia is a good example of the political and economic progress when there are no coups. Bitter that some here still think coups here are necessary and full of Thainess. Pity those lose souls.

    Tainted with suspicion siampolee?

Banned from politics and public life.?

Why not just burn them at the stake !

    No trial just suspicion!

Innocent until proven guilty I thought and not judged by an unelected military court but in the court of the people.

It may have escaped your notice but I stated ''that all political groups and hues would and should be treated as outcasts if tainted with political misdeeds'' not one group .

You are so blind to the truth or you are incapable of actually understanding or wanting to understand that all political parties and their assorted politicians carry equal blame for the past misdeeds which are indeed manifold and varied in their magnitude politically family wise as well as financially.

Well this is apart from your messiah,In essence your post really highlights your bias and lack of knowledge concerning matters over many years, certainly in the 24 years I've lived here not one party is innocent and as regards the duplicitous political gangsters, well they are spread across the whole political spectrum in case you hadn't or didn't want to notice.

I seem to recollect that the Messiah and its puppets you support were indeed somewhat ''creative in manipulating Parliament and the civil administration in all its guises to go down the roads of no trials along with totally ignoring the rules of law as well as the electorates wishes.

Those actions are precisely what has led us into a coup and the current situation.

Blame is to be in fact must be apportioned to all sides nothing more nothing less.

Even if you are right about Thaksin interference in Parliment and civil Adminstration, totally ignoring the law etc etc, you must be able to distinquish the difference in the severity of the outcomes. The NACC and EC interferences and I include the constitutional court, are aimed at selective banning and eradicating political opponents. I see no parties that the elites favored been banned or charged by the NACC. That is the prejudice in full view last 8 years.

Stop it Eric, it's getting pathetic to keep suggesting Thaksin might or might not have interfered in parliament. Anybody here over the last few years knows he ran PTP, made all the decisions, issued instructions, selected cabinet ministers, summoned members to overseas meetings, promoted and demoted at will and paid large sums out to supplement their civil salaries. He owns PTP, they are his employees and he runs it like the CEO of his own PLC.

His previously owned parties, that were banned for fraud, were managed in the same way. They all followed a plan of trying to remove checks and balances, circumventing accountability and relying on nepotism, cronyism and favoritism when making appointments or awarding contracts. Do you think his conviction for breaking a law, which he was aware of but thought unimportant, or all the other 15 outstanding charges are all minor transgressions? He's a crook, pure and simple, whose risen to become a multi-billionaire by whatever means necessary. His family wealth increased 450% during his sister's puppet regime. How much did the wealth of Thailand and the average Thai person increase in the same period?

Thaksin and his parties are arrogant in your face in the way they go about things - "trust us, don't ask questions, do as we say not as we do, we are in charge we can do what we like" and see nothing wrong in lying and threatening openly. The other parties are a little more subtle so draw less attention. All, sadly, are above the law and never pursue one another.

I will stop if you stop the excessive hyperboling. Talk about Parliment, you don't notice the shenanigans put up by the Dem? You really think foolishly that you can have your own way in Parliment without the oppositions in and outside Parliment kicking up a row? How naive to say such a thing.

He keep harping on the Shin's wealth. If the tax regulators have not seen anything illegal, there really nothing for you to base your retort on.

Everyone except you knows that PT is Thaksin party. It's on full display during election and nothing shady about it. Ultimately people decide and the people did decide.

Are you kidding when you said other parties are more subtle? Didn't the tyranny of the minority escape you mind. The Dem and their cahoots outside Parliment wre equally loud and vocal culminating with the PDRC shut Bangkok numerous times. They behave like they above the law and even the law allows them to continue. That's not law but abetting a cause.

  11. Got to agree with the statement that the NACC cases are more political than fight for justice or legal technicalities. Like the EC, the NACC has displayed prejudice and seen as selective targeting their opponents. There are cases like the malfeasance charges for the CRES 2010 actions and the Dem rice scheme that have been going for ages while the current cases have been rushed jobs. This is a fact not perception that infuriate the Reds that they have never been treated equally and have always been subjected to the elites power moves.

  12. Can see the beginning of strain relationship between PDRC and the military. All the 7 months of nothing for their southern farmers and sharp retorts from the General PM for tying to associate them with the military must have left the PDRC totally frustrated that their heavy lifting have not benefitted them. Now they openly quarreling with the CDC. The PDRC is now a spent force and their followers will be more discerning if called to rally by Suthep.

  13. Not all suprising that economy tank after a coup. There are enough empirical studies to substantiate that point. This will be no difference. Bond yields are showing the strain and we are finding tough to borrow and we have to turn to China for loans. Domestic economy is hurting bad. Budget spendings are releasing in drips due to bureaucratic red tapes. Investors are cautious and the SET is performing poorly. This one strong man government will only bring despair unless the good general start to loosen up, invite opinions and bring in technocrats to replace current bureaucrats and generals.

  14. "Man of the Year" is assigned to a person that has had the most, and most significant impact, on Thailand and Thai society - a point I clearly explained in the post preceding yours.

Do you deny that Prayuth has had the most significant impact on Thailand and Thai society over the past year?

Think you meant something similar to Hilter naming 1938 man of the year. You do have a point.

  15. At least there is no more political protest, no violence, consumer confidence higher than ever and business getting better which Abihisit and Ying Luck can't achieve.

Exactly. For that, and the other achievements, Prayuth certainly deserves the "Man of the Year" award - heck, regardless how you feel about him, you'd have to agree that Prayuth has had the most and the most significant impact on Thailand in 2014.

He is way short of achievements. To deserve that man of the year distinction, his achievements should include military, judiciary and electorate reforms for the people and not for the elites. The economics are not impressive and the stock market tanked and he need a massive economic policies for next year. He could have stopped the protest cooperating with the previous government like he did during the Ahbisit government; not usurping power which he did not during the Ahbisit government. The pattern leading to the 2 coups are frightfully identical. Coincidence or a set-up?
