Nah, the smell of the spontaneous evacuations are horrific.
And the color of the Reds underpants are now brown.difference though is in the colour of their underpants PDRC are still yellow.
You obviously have done some privates investigating.

I have a feeling that there is much more to this coup, and today's consolidation of power, than we are being told.
They've been rounding up people for a few days now. Darn good chance some are starting to sing.
I think tomorrow is going to be another good day.

I tried to input this previously. Where are the middle class expats who endlessly slandered the government elected by Thai workers and farmers and who prayed for its removal by a demonstration, by the courts, or by a coup. Where are you now that it's happened.
Good chance most are throwing parties.
Cost me another pig and had to bake more cupcakes, but it's worth it!

I wonder if an arrest warrant for TS will now be issued to Interpol.
Perhaps now that DSI has been purged, it could be quickly quickly here!

Thaksin's son detained by Junta at Don Muang airport today
The General means business. Thaksin's son was involved in criminal activity when he was born into the Shin family
dynastydictatorship. The news gets better and better.
First, the General blatantly ignored royal instructions and now is kidnapping more innocent people. This guy won't last long. The international community will step in soon.
Don't hold your breath.

I have been hearing from Thai today that his son is behind, paying for, the anti-coup demonstrations today. The speculation included that his name was being banded from news sources. Now Prayut has disbanded the senate, possibly because Thaksin had paid some of them? I suppose it's possible we are watching Thaksin's last stand unfolding.
Heard the same thing. It seems all the signs in English has rubbed a few people the wrong way.
It's really starting to look like Thaksin is a lot more desperate than I thought.

Apparently the Military have seized his bank accounts and other assets along with cancelling his passport. He and his family are now homeless and broke and apparently under martial law he has no grounds of appeal, it's all gone. People who help in any shape or form will face criminal charges and lengthy jail terms. You could say he is alone and been rogered with a ten foot pole.Sounds like exactly the right kind of person who should be participating in the process. Instead of being a smart Alec and playing games with the military which he will lose.

Sounds like it sucks to be him...

You should read yesterday's BKK Post for the answer.
Most people know but they're tired of answering the question.

any idea what this means?
RT@tulsathit: A major detention is said to have taken place.
in the breaking news section...
Thaksin's son.

Prayuth just announced that he will seize the assets of those who don't turn themselves in.
I should think the guards at Army Club will be busy tomorrow.

I can see the commander being replaced before long a coup within a coup the fan is picking up speed and the S - - T is heading towards it . We have already witnessed discontent on the streets of Bangkok today they in turn will get bigger day by day week by week I for one was hoping that an announcement for new elections would be announced in the next couple of days how foolish I was to think that would happen.
There were a couple hundred of the usual suspects without their red shirts carrying signs not surprisingly in English.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the the military start fingerprinting them before they're released to go on their way. All it will take is the right person to recognize a few of the usual suspects.
-
the senate was all appointed hi-so and I think with permanent status... until they die ... we will see i still trust Prayuth he is taking out all the roots..
Wrong.

What does the CC say about these changes? Does the CC still exist without a constitution?
Aside from Section 2, there is nothing left for the CC to rule upon.
But now that I think about it, I wonder if Prayuth left Section 2 intact to preserve the CC.

PDRC, TV anti-Thaksinistas, Suthepistas and Yellows wanted reforms, out with YS, block elections and abolish the government, senators, the house et al.
You clamored, ranted and wished it:. There you have it and then some.
Are you guys happy now?
For the most part, yes.

Are you saying there has never been a Dusit poll that seemed to favor PTP?
I say that polls that are not conducted by reputable, qualified, non-partisan organizations should be taken with a large grain of salt, or completely ignored. I can't recall a poll referenced in the TV forum that wasn't best ignored.
If you have more information, I would love to see it.
Just looked at a number of Dusit polls, and the majority looked pro-government to me.
Information? Do you want me to explain how it is much easier to draw your conclusions then conduct a poll guaranteed to support these conclusions? I won't go into detail, I'll just point out the three main mechanisms--bias the population being polled, bias the questions, and bias the analysis.
Coming up with a meaningful number of randomly selected poll participants that truly reflect the larger population, designing questions that do not bias the probable answers, and analyzing the results in an analytical, unbiased manner is hard and requires expertise. That's why I only trust polls that are from competent, qualified, unbiased polling organizations. I ignore all others. I don't know how the Dusit polls are conducted, until I am convinced they are qualified and unbiased I ignore them.
I was thinking more like references for the company being owned by the Ammart. Found that interesting having just read a number of their polls, which IMO didn't seem biased. In fact, I was thinking they are pro-government.

Talking about compromise from Suthep...you said...
What compromise?? PDRC has been blunt... he wants a Coup. Suthep visited the Army and asked for a Coup! My Goodness, this is very clear.
If you don't think the PDRC/Dems & Army are not tied at the hip, then you are blind.
You are right my friend...Many blind people in this Forum......Suthep is having a ball!!!! And the Military got the time its wanted to get part of the cake....before passing it.
The game still the same...what changed is just the players...and the "coach"..
By the way, Suthep is being held with Yingluk..but Abhisit and other Dem leaders walked out!
See, Suthep was paid to be the fall guy..the guy that got his hands dirty for the Dems. He has always been the bull dog.
Now come on people, how can the Dems walk away without being held? Don't you get it?
The PTP members who were part of the negotiation delegation and not cabinet members also walked out.
The military is currently detaining members of PDRC, UDD, Yingluck, her former cabinet members, and select PTP politicians.
If you do a little research, you might find the military's actions quite measured.

He has the Thaksin mentality.
It's almost quaint the Pavlovian brainless response that Yellows have for Thaksin's name and how they use it for anything they see as bad even when it makes no sense. It's been amusing watching the brain trust around here try to justify this occupation by the rebel militia.
"Something, something Dubai!"
As for Sombat, he probably will never see this but if I ever met the guy I'd buy him a beer right away. Keep fighting the good fight, brother.
Don't the reds do the same? Elite this and fascist this? Just as bad.
You forgot Ammart

What compromise?? PDRC has been blunt... he wants a Coup. Suthep visited the Army and asked for a Coup! My Goodness, this is very clear.Lets all be real. The PDRC/Dems and Military are in one hand. They are one. Do you really think the Military wanted the PDRC to negotiate? NO. This has been a sham from day 1. The Military supports the PDRC. PDRC wanted a Coup. If you do not believe me, ask Mr. Suthep. He has made this clear many many times. So how in the world would there be a negotiation when the Minority is being supported by the Miltiary? Hence, this is the Thai Dilemna for the past 30+ years!!
The system is rigged. They allow an election to be included amongst the so called "Democratic Nations" , but the Minority & Military have a deal to continue to bring down the Goverment. 12+ Coups over 90 years kinda explains it all!!
Then why did Suthep compromise and align with the Senate?
If you don't think the PDRC/Dems & Army are not tied at the hip, then you are blind.
Please remain civil.
As you've obviously missed it, please read last week's news after Suthep met with the Acting Senate Speaker.
Suthep aligning with the Senate was a game changer.

correct me if I may be in error, but I do not recall seeing where the army or any military has stated they will remove the Shin clan forever
I think it depends on just how ruthless Prayuth and his backers are. I think his two goals, "remove and eradicate Shinawatra influence" and "avoid bloodshed" are incompatible. I have no idea what is going to happen -- historically Thai coups have few casualties because they are struggles between factions of the elite. I think the only way to "eradicate" Shin influence is something more like dynastic change in the Ottoman Empire or Imperial China. The Empress Wi comes to mind. Or Ngo Dinh Diem. The shin clan will never be sidelined and that's a fact!
For all the yellows on here they kept saying she will flee the country time after time we'll she is still here and actually fronted up to the army .
She's has handled the last 6 months with dignity and grace under extreme pressure and was removed by a bogus decision of the courts.
Don't be surprised if you see her standing at the next elections as she was voted in by the second biggest margin in thai history only one better was her brother.
So the shin will be on the political map for a long time to come!
We can only hope...

Are you saying there has never been a Dusit poll that seemed to favor PTP?A 47% or so majority voted for PTP. A recent Dusit poll said an over 75% majority support martial law.
The message seems clear to me!
A poll that was released by an Ammart organization under blanket news censorship.
