  1. That applies to Thailand in my opinion . I have lived in a few countries as well . Can be white against white too.
  2. Look even more sad if the Thai government did more for there old people . Why you ask? Because the cost of living would go through the roof .
  3. You live of as I do of the low living expenses in Thailand. If the elderly were cared for correctly your pension would look sad .
  4. Very true the Thai pensionists living on 600 baht a month do not have heating bills to pay .Your UK pension is just a dream income to them . Westerners living in Thailand live of the backs of the 600 baht a month pensionists . It is not your making but have some respect at least .
  5. Thats the way most government pension schemes work which is called a pay as you go system . It can become a nightmare when you dont have enough young people to pay in . Or that the pensioners live too long or retire to early . Ask President Macron and he will explain for you .
  6. I agree with your comment , but would like to add that not all old people have family around them .
  7. Could be considered being an accomplice since you are living with the illegal loan giver .
  8. 75 percent do not pay income tax ? I would not like to guess , but i am sure you are correct . Government and large company employees pay income tax . After that i am not so sure and if all had to pay income tax , prices would raise exponentially . The old people in Thailand will remain with virtually no income for the forseeable future .
  9. If taxes begin to be applied for raising the welfare of the old people in Thailand your pension will not buy what it can manage today. Nothing to do with dual taxation .
  10. Perhaps it is time the UK means tested the cream cake eaters
  11. Many pensionists from the west would have problems to afford living in Thailand if taxes were raised to keep the Thai elderly in a acceptable way .
  12. Is charging more than 15 percent a year considered illegal in Thailand ?
  13. Yes, just get the so called illegal migrants working and forget Rwanda
  14. Not so bad in Thailand when you can get 1000 baht a month at 90 years of age . Just see what you mean .
  15. Thank you , but is your pension back dated concerning the increases you never received while living in Thailand ?
  16. What happens if you move from Thailand to the phiippines ? Do they back date the increases ?
  17. If there is going to be any improvement in the care of the old people in Thailand there has to be higher taxes imposed . Therefore there will be no change any time soon . A nation is gauged on how the country cares for the old people . Thailand is low in the list .
  18. You need a minimum 10 years of contributions , but if you worked in a country that has a social agreement with the UK that can help . The help I received from the DWP was good .Only problem was having to answer questions to clarify identity each time i called . Annoying
  19. She wants to discard the old sweet heart and get in a new flat mate . Could be the chance you have been waiting for. But one should get a contract written up .
  20. Ah, the country that sprayed incoming passengers .Very inteligent policies in white Australia policy politicans
