  1. I'd say it's more about driving style than size of the car, but the bigger cars are more likely to drive aggressively from experience. At the same time, you have people driving them really slowly like the mum's in Fortuners and grandad or his wife in a pick up.
  2. Why was the ambulance hogging the right hand lane when there was no one to the inside? This along with him probably driving slowly (the speed limit), I expect is what upset the driver.
  3. I will look down on you too until you learn the saying is 'couldn't care less'... I'm not the biggest complainer but the food does go back if they get my order wrong to the point I can't eat it. I've had hair in my food a few times recently, which is clearly not mine. I don't make a big deal out of it, but the staff are usually very embarrassed and sort it out.
  4. As most fatalities include bikes, I'd say no. There seems to be a lot more speed cameras around now on the larger roads that I think are starting to make people in cars slow down a bit. The current speed limit of 80/90 on most sections of these roads is simply too low though. As people slow down for the cameras and speed back up again, all they do in my opinion is generate money and cause traffic jams. A steady 110/120 would work a lot better in my opinion.
  5. Top it up in 7-eleven with the card.
  6. So many snitches nowadays over such little things. God forbid someone has a bit of fun, harming no one in the process.
  7. Bad parenting is also a factor in my situation too. No dad involved and her mum dumped her with the grandparents. As my lady expects so much (she's well educated), I guess it was only a matter of time before the respect was gone and things went downhill, I've done similar to you by trying to get her to consider how she acts and what she says, for over a year now, but it hasn't helped in my situation.
  8. Yeah. I'm in that position at the moment but won't be for much longer. Constant disrespect for being a caring person, and it is in my mind it's an abusive relationship. Just need to plan a time to get my things out of the house and I'm gone.
  9. That's already covered in the thread and irrelevant anyway. It's just a normal incident for the roads here, but a westerner is involved so it makes the news. I don't see the big deal to be honest.
  10. Your religion has little to do with it. I think people want to harm you due to you not doing your job and not making London a safer place to live. Victimising motorists isn't going to help your cause either.
  11. Sure. Don't get me wrong, they deserve to be locked up when carrying a weapon with intent. There's no sensible reason to be carrying a machete or hunting knife in built up areas.
  12. If you are not their target, its not that bad, and these things mostly happen between gangs. I've had people running towards me and straight past me with machetes, knives and an axe in north London. They are so focused on their rivals and silly postcodes that they don't see the common man.
  13. I generally drink the equivalent of two beers from 8pm to midnight each day, so I'm not exactly chugging them down. If I get together with friends I'll drink more, but the hangover means I wont drink the day after. I'm no stranger to Heineken zero's either. If the local restaurants sold it, I'd be more likely to drink that most days instead.
  14. I've unfortunately crossed paths with Lammy before and he is a bully. It's funny how when something goes wrong, he throws good practice out of the window and starts grandstanding. He expects to get things his way by shouting the loudest, like a child.
  15. While I've not been happy with our performances and strategy in the earlier rounds, what is important is that we peak at the right time. If we do that tonight then we've got it in the bag.
  16. You can if you invest about 40 million in the country (like gvt bonds) and jump through a few hoops.
  17. I'd also appreciate an update from someone who has used the trains recently. I haven't been on a sleeper train since before covid. First class in our own room was not a problem. Second class we saw the inspectors telling people they could not drink on the way out, but there was no problem at all on our return journey. We took wine and whisky in our flasks and had no problems as we weren't drinking to get drunk or acting like children.
  18. The thing is, the ban doesn't stop drunkards getting drunk on a train. They will have their khao khao in water bottles. It affects normal people who just want a beer or two on a long train journey.
  19. A map would have been nice to help visualise the route.
  20. I think they play sports at a generally high standard, but struggle to meet the international standard. I guess investment, or lack of, is one of the problems. It's also very hot here. Would you fancy going for a run every day in this heat while being forced to spend hours upon hours in the classroom? Their families may also not see sport as a career and force their children to study subjects they don't want to.
  21. Asked and advice are the key words here.
  22. I've rang them a few times and had a call back from an English speaker within 5 minutes each time. The inspection video was all done in English too. I guess it's the luck of the draw.
  23. My wife used to tell me to let them off as they are old. I then responded that I thought older people were meant to get more respect in Thai culture as they are meant to be wiser. She now feels the same as me. I normally give the queue cutters a nasty stare, followed by telling them they are not polite or not a good person if need be.
  24. My annoyance comes from the servers not caring which drink to pour. For example, on Monday my friend had a Singha reserve and I has a Singha, they pour his beer into mine. Or last week I changed from a Leo to a Singha and they top my half full Leo glass up with Singha. It's like beer is just beer to some of them. It's all the same but with a different packaging.
