  1. I think a kick or two on the ground is normal. If he stamped on his head several times that's a different matter, but a kick or two to the ribs is getting off lightly in the real world.
  2. If you don't like shopping online can you tell us where you are based? For me I buy from tan monkey or fatman coffee on Lazada. I usually buy blends to keep the cost down but they sell beans from all over the world. I normally buy 1kg for about 800baht. As I am based in Nakhon Pathom though I can easily walk into at least two roasters and buy from them in person.
  3. Well what did the Belgian guy expect to happen? For the Thai guy to change his mind? He's angry and pointing his finger at the other guy and even gets ready himself for some fisticuffs (that was hilarious). I thought the Thai guy took it very easy on him.
  4. His life will hopefully be worse than death once he gets put away for 20+ years.
  5. So one pickup was modified for racing and couldn't beat the other that was stock? All that black smoke no doubt for nothing. The biggest loser once again though was an innocent on a scooter.
  6. I was planning to take my dad on a holiday to Mae Kampong, Lampang and Nan the week after Songkran until I remembered about the burning. There's no point going to my planned places unless the sky is clear. Gonna have to figure out something to do in the south instead. My trip was for 3 people, spending would have been about 60,000 baht going to the local economy. Imagine how much money they are losing due to this when you increase the numbers.
  7. A guy who I know took my for a driving his Mclaren 720s a few years ago and he had no problem with speed bumps. There was a button on the dashboard to raise the ride height. I'd expect other super cars to have a similar function.
  8. At what point did I mention selfishness? I picked up on calling others cowards, as if you must continue doing something that isn't working for anyone. That's more foolishness to me. Regarding not being able to take care of the kids, that's part of the reason why he is asking for advice. He knows he can't do that, therefore he is not being selfish by asking for ideas on how to deal with this.
  9. I don't really see how leaving his marriage for his own mental health is considered cowardice. My parents split up when I was younger and my life was a lot better because of it. No more arguing, just two generally happier parents who valued their time with me and my sister more.
  10. It really depends. To give a few examples: The free mats with my new car were awful, so they are now gathering dust after buying some proper ones. Bluetooth speakers are rubbish quality, powerbanks are are usually OK and umbrellas, if I like the style. A xiaomi watch has probably been my best freebie. I'd rather they just reduce the price though than creating more clutter.
  11. I don't even think the lightweights would like this idea either if it increases their chances of being assigned seats next to the fatties.
  12. From the original article: "According to Ploy, the driver did not listen and drove off the route. He then berated her for talking on the phone and told her to get out of the car. Ploy said she filed a complaint against the driver at Plubpla Chai Police Station, accusing him of insulting her. She then underwent a medical examination and was found to have panic symptoms after the incident. As a result, Ploy filed another complaint, accusing the driver of mentally assaulting her and keeping her in the car." So which is it? Did he tell her to get out of the car or kept her in the car? They're arguing over the fair and she still wanted him to drive her to the police station? I really don't like this woman's character at all: so vindictive.
  13. Fantastic parenting. She doesn't deserve a child! If the child hadn't locked the door, anyone could have just driven off with her daughter.
  14. Descending phu tha buek is not to be done at speed unless you want to die early.
  15. So basically rich yellow shirts are against others getting a bit of cash.
  16. Tell that to Subway who insist on payment by scan or credit card.
  17. My cats never kill the things. They just walk away as I guess they're not tasty.
  18. It will help keep the Chinese happy. I don't mind. For a lot of people I think electric makes sense, it's just not attracting me just yet.
  19. I enjoyed the new top gear, not as much as the last one, but it was mostly good fun. Watching top gear is now like being with your mates rather than a serious car review program.
  20. I don't think the Buddha statue on his dashboard was working.
  21. I would have thought tourist confidence is also related to how tourists expect to be treated while here. It has probably plummeted partly because previous visitors did not feel welcomed enough to return. I've seen how badly some businesses here speak to tourists and its disgraceful. The unfair acts of dual pricing and overcharging also leave a bitter taste for many, including me. Thailand is also no longer that cheap. Prices have gone up, but quality continues to remain low.
  22. I dont go to my local market due to two tiered pricing and because I hate all of the stares. I just want to do my shopping. I am also more concerned about the quality of meat and pesticides used in the local markets.
  23. Her government was overthrown by the military, so she didn't exactly get the chance to follow through on this over the last 8 years did she.
  24. I think I'd take my clothes off, dangle my meat in her face and let the games begin ????
