100,000 baht fines might work better. No money, no problem. Police will kindly impound your car, so that the hungover driver has more time to fork up the money. Drunk driving is a crime, nothing less, so indeed 'what the fudge'.

My mil has never helped her parents, never worked, never saved even 1 lousy baht and tried to live on my wife's money and properties. Bad luck for her that I stepped in and explained how finance is done in the new, not feudal, global world. We save and invest in our children, not in freeloading and very dominant mothers. She now lives alone in 1 of our properties and gets a monthly allowance, just enough to make ends meet. I am not evil.

Hua Hin's air is also polluted about half of the time. Not as bad as CR or CM now, but also red or orange. Need to go to Trang or Satun for green air. Thanks to subsidizing sugar farmers. BTW, we drovecpast Hua Hin the other day, the by pass road, and there is more plastic litter than many slums in India. Thailand has degraded the last 10 year to sheer filth.

Your retirement dream is to live in the most polluted city on earth? I can imagine that people cannot just easily relocate, because of business, work or schooling, but to claim that CM is your retirement dream is rather bizarre.
