It would be the same in England, if you went to Waitrose, M&S, Sainsburys etc - they wouldn't in my experience give you a free plastic bag. You didn't want to pay for it, they're more than happy for you to leave it by the till. You knew you had to pay for it before you entered - same as you knew you had to pay for any purchases.

Did you read - the govt said their was no responsibility on the hotels to refund. My missus is a doctor - she's not stupid. As far as "most" can you send me a link to that survey...

My wife arrived on the 27th Feb(5 day test changed 1st March) - the hotel she was booked with refused to refund the day 5 hotel and PCR test costs. One of the main hotels when you go to the official website. BTW - the government explicitly stated that hotels did NOT have to refund those payments for hotels and PCR tests. Some did, some didn't.

Never seen this - re you're only fully vaccinated if done in the last 4 months ( not a recommendation from Pfizer, which they were trying to push!). Certainly not the case in the UK. Where's the official link that states it for Thailand

Try using a different browser - if not already done, usually sorts out this sort of issue. Probably just a setting. I do remember the missus getting a tb certificate when she applied, but that was on route to ILR.

Judging by the standard of crew on the speed boats to Samed - none ???? I passed mine when I had a place in Marbella. Funny story we got boarded by the Spanish Police on the second day as a windsurfer was lost - they jumped on the boat in the marina and just pointed out. The instructor was English and his Spanish was cr*p. We found him and dragged his windsurfer back - way, way out. Even got in the paper. I think it's a bit like driving a car - if you can touch anything you can do it. When I get on any boat here I ensure the wife and I have life vests on and I like to see what the guys doing.

Always stayed at Areca Lodge - seconds from LK/Buakhao . Couple of mins from Treetown. Superb pools and service(had a nice breakfast included - fresh eggs). Get a pool view with balcony. Good quality, nice size rooms. Not been back since pre-Covid though - prior to that the missus and I would stay at least 10 times a year ( they used to have a loyalty card re number of days )

We've had a few apartments done out from a Lady in BKK. I'll ask the missus and PM you the number. This was pre-covid so I don't know if she is still in business, but very happy with the condos she did for us. Price wise she was excellent and service, measurements, selection, fitting was excellent.

My wife is a doctor(govt' and private mostly) - if it's standard, she wouldn't have to pay. In the event of car accidents etc, govt hospitals also try to get money from the insurer. What maybe the case is she asked for a private room, or an upgrade on the basic treatment.
