  1. Very little chance to be truthful as the Immigration & then Labour Dept would look at the job description & decide if a Thai can do the tasks. If yes, application denied & fair enough
  2. So when does this new policy come into (the) force ? Any respect they may have had many years ago is totally gone now. No way back without a big broom but then, how do they amass their millions ?
  3. Better, being a hothead that you contact a good agent & have minimal contact with Immigration in person. Your attitude as on here could lock doors for good You should have seen the covid extension stopping coming & made arrangements accordingly like leaving the country, obtaining a visa & returning or saving or transferring a bit of money along the way to enable you toget a marriage visa.. Remember all standard visa are NON IMMIGRANT. Also remember there are hundreds of parents in NZ for example that have not seen their kids now for 2 years due to covid.
  4. Does the PM have any idea what he is sending any of his unskilled labour into Saudi ? The conditions are very bad, to say the least Skilled labour have a slightly better deal
  5. On a Non Im O why have you not availed yourself of other options by now ? I do not have enough info to help which may be too late now anyway
  6. If the gentleman wishes to stay in Thailand for some years I would strongly suggest he try & maintain his present retirement extension. Talking to a semi reputable agent may prevent future worse problems Good on ya for helping
  7. If you have the money they are talking about you can do all these things now. The land ownership subject with me still has the jury still out. I control about 95 Rai. The enclaves that develop with foreign land ownership can create major problems even NZ is tightening up. Australia has seen some nasty areas created (in one they even shot the Mayor) In countries where farming land ownership is the only chattel they own (like Thailand rural) the appeal of a one time sale is hard to resist & ends up creating more misery. 20 + 20 (option) legal leases appeal
  8. Paid the guy to film it. Gotta try to take the heat off the BIG red bull envelope that just fitted in the boot
  9. I hope not. Buri Ram track would work but thousands of hotel rooms short & the existing not up to standard
  10. " Possible violations of ecology code" May I suggest if they are not then it is time to reign the big oil boys in
  11. They do spend a lot of money when they visit Thailand though. There, I said something nice
  12. There will be a huge sigh of relief from Thong Lor plods & right up the food chain when the statute does run out
  13. No direct flights to Clarke anymore (even before Covid) for some reason but bars still closed so forget me & not sure what hassles would get on return
  14. BKB has a TT rate published which you can access before you do your transaction. Then check what they will give you Normally sending in the currency of sending country to Thailand as many overseas banks banks are robbers when it comes to converting to Thai Baht & BKB pretty good. Your bank mentioned have never been slow in manipulating this kind of transaction. I USED to bank with them
  15. Get a grip guys. Whilst this is very sad & the Thai guy obviously not well balanced, the circumstances of sitting in the street at 3am, playing loud music, drinking beer in a public place, probably talking loudly & intoxicated in a foreign country was not the smartest decision they have ever made. If Thais did this in your street in your home town, would you or your neighbours be upset ?
  16. Likening this to prohibition or to Saudi is just a very stupid comment by a person who is obviously not thinking correctly. All bottle shops open as normal where you can stock up within the hours & have never been restricted let alone banned. Many bars are now getting back into business just get outa there at 11 pm go home, with or without company you can then drink all night
  17. They are trying to survive & it is great to see some normalacy returning. Still your choice to partake or not
  18. As an ex chef of many years the heavier the <deleted> on it the better. These Seagull pans & even the pots just do not cut the mustard except for boiling & even then if have solids in will stick & burn
  19. 6/7 years old, If in really good nick about right price. I just do not like their look. Liked the Cressida look before
  20. Check with you local Immigration Office which you must know by now. Some offices will insist you get an O visa overseas for the switch but may be relaxed due to Covid This is one of the few times I suggest an agent may be useful but ask them first
  21. I would double check with the carrier(s) & watch for any last minute changes to the rules. Horrible feeling to be denied boarding
