As a "Johnee on the spot" so to speak, you can pretty much ignore this PR circus

This is about the 5th time I have heard this in my 32 years of being here. Start with the SRT& get rid of all executive staff, it has to be the most badly managed Gov't department in Thailand. More concerned about getting rents off their vast property & land holdings than doing what they are there for, which is, believe it of not to run a railway. The truckies would not like it though if they did get efficient

The monies you pay your golf caddy & the lady who shows you your way home are not considered tips, part of their income

Love to help but our 2 businesses you have had shuttered for 11 months (now gone) as the greedy landlord still wanted his rent) so not only can we not take a holiday (3 was the norm) 19 staff out of 24 still no work. Thankyou very much for the offer but only if the Government will pay me back some of the 30 years tax we paid

Can Thailand become a digital nomad hub?
natway09 replied to Jonathan Fairfield's topic in Thailand News
To he who commented on language skills, I suggest you read the post again & understand before Thai knocking when it has nothing even to do with Thais. Now, many of you may be surprised just how much this is already happening, I know of 5 guys working for overseas corporations & have been given the option of working from here. The unlimited internet packages are great value & a good apartment is much cheaper than London, Geneva or even Singapore. I know where I would want to be -

natway09 replied to earthscar's topic in Family and Children
Just pay the old biddy the 5,000 Bht if the deceased has signed (They knew about it before she died anyway) Keep the peace. A minor is not allowed to be nominated nor responsible for others debts -
Prices of Land in Issan
natway09 replied to dkg224's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
480M2 is hardly much use except for building a house & a small garden. If close to village with road access & pipes water available it is a pretty good price. To the guy who commented on the Thai mentality of putting the price up next year you are dead wrong, This is land, not a condo & if the guy is not desperate for a sale he is correct. Wifes 1.1 rai (1760 M2) of vacant land is appreciating at about 160,000 Bht a year -

O-A extension, why need insurance?
natway09 replied to Chiller's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I still believe that sooner than later insurance will be required for all retirement visas. There are just too many of us old geezers here that are just not in a position to pay the hospital bill if something goes terribly wrong -
Covid extension 30 or 60 days?
natway09 replied to Big Bert's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Sort of answered your own question. Covid extensions could stop anyday so go back to marriage visa (if you are staying longer
