  1. Obviously many of the posters on here do not know the circumstances behind the acceptance of outside contracts by AZ. The good Dr must know that the PM & Health Ministry had no influence on the decision. The decisions made by Siam Bio Science came from "above"
  2. The whole Thaksin regime was a lot more corrupt than what we have now, along with many actions taken by them that never saw the light of day. He wanted to be "President of Thailand" The rice pledging scheme & the selling of "Thai owned" satelites to Temask Holdings in Singapore to name just a few of the biggees none of which helped the "Thai people " one little bit. Ask any toiler of the land (not the lazy ones who never did a day's work in their lives) & the answer will be very clear. I for one, as an old hand of 29 years living & working here have stated many times on this subject "let sleeping dogs lie" His return would certainly bring bloodshed with it
  3. The Covid response in regard to not providing the correct & mass inoculations in Thailand in a responsible time frame is not the main thrust of these protests. The PM & his Health Minister had no choice but to follow orders from the upper echelon which is why the delay in procurement & the reason that they did not join the world body for supply of same. If you take the trouble of looking up the International press on this subject a whole new can of beans will be revealed. This round of protests is directly aimed at this "upper echelon" of "untouchables" that are still supported by the PM willfully or not but paramount to his role of maintaining his position as PM
  4. I just may have been able to predict this. I presume these guys are fully employed to come up with this "stating the obvious"
  5. Thai Research needs to do some "research" & a reality check before bursting into print. The unemployed rate in the overall "hospitality industry alone would top 3 million people at least, not to mention the unemployed now of the far too many shopping centres many of the staff who had been on contract to avoid Thai Labour Laws
  6. Because he was told on no uncertain terms to back off Sure, he would have made money & why not ? Wrong pocket Had he been allowed another 10 million people in Bangkok & surrounds would have been double vaccinated by now,, you decide if that is a good thing ?
  7. 69 the way to go then, Can someone find this guy something to do ?
  8. So Thailand is the only country in the world where women get raped & murdered ? As terrible as it is why would a single lady go wandering into the bush alone in a strange country? I could name 30 countries where I would not go into the bush alone in particular with unemployment due to Covid being so high. The fringe people are desperate to get their hands on a few bob
  9. As I said before maube right action, but certainly the wrong time
  10. Dee Money open. I changed some money only earlier this week (Cnr Soi 8 )
  11. Love some of your posts & replies. It does prove that many are not part of the brains trust on this forum or do not put the brain in gear before the post
