Baht Slides: Economic Impacts for Thailand
natway09 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News Headlines
The present Thai Premier has it all under control. 555 Did he not want to reduce interest at the Central Bank by 25% which obviously was resisted by anyone who really knows international finance. There is going to be no money left in the pot after about August & exchange rates will fall further. Could become a trash currency by the end of 2025 -
Thai Residents Struggle Amidst Dropping Water Reservoir Levels
natway09 replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
Every year about this or earlier we hear the same What Thailand needs is a long term plan region by region with a budget to achieve, heaven knows we all know "no water, no life". The alternative is to advise the present PM, he thinks he can fix anything -
When in Bangkok we used a hospital refill service advised & executed by the local motor bike guys. Now we live in the country need to get done at a hospital 47 km away but only takes 5 minutes. As hardly needed only need a refill about every 6 months

Thai Airways Faces Backlash Over Business-Class Seat Fiasco

Points taken on comments above but something does not gel here. Business class seats on Thai do not recline or lie flat. I do not believe. -

Chon Buri apartment owner battles raucous bars in neighbourhood
natway09 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
There is of course a law stipulating maximum DB levels allowed to escape your property after 11pm. Another problem is not just DB but Hz levels. Most Thai bars purchase these cheap audio systems & crank up the bass as far as it will go. A good Dolby system will reduce the lower hard to treat Hz levels -

Putting aside drunk driving which is a Thai social issue almost impossible to fix without a Government & RTP interest & investment to do so, the Lao Khao issue on health grounds is massive. The <deleted>e is just pure white spirits distilled from unwanted rice,(& possibly other fermenting rotten fruit or veg) the worst type of alcohol to consume

No No trespassing sign, no fence, no gate, idiot Swiss people. Why do they let these people run & (or) own a chang sanctuary ? Should that not be reserved for Thais ?

News of Hua Hin’s “decline” greatly exaggerated. Here’s why.
natway09 replied to snoop1130's topic in Hua Hin and Cha-Am News
Spidermike. Put the blame fairly where it lies. SRT, it is overbloated, corrupt, only interested in ensuring they get rent increases for their vast land holdings & have failed all Thais in their inability to even get the chicken across the road yet alone develop what should be an efficient, organized modern rail system due to massive disappearing monies on a yearly basis. Yes, the Government of the day is also to blame for allowing this charade to even continue. Hua Hin, if they do not organize the long term water problem soon, Hua Hin & Cha Am will never develop any further -
30 days on arrival with a possible 15 day extension from Imm' for tourists up to 3 times a year. Organize Imm' so 2 days overstay alarm bells start to ring. Start having some "real" checks before any form of NON Imm visa is issued. It is time to get tough or Thailand will end up as the "human excretment capital of the world". But until you cannot "buy" your visa (& I don't mean the 800,000 Bht in a bank) it is impossible to stop the "bad eggs"

TM 30 form needed or not?
natway09 replied to rhino533's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Your wife (who I presume owns the property) is supposed to fill in a Tm30 within 24 hours, but unless a person is going to seek an extension past & beyond the 30 day on arrival visa exempt I would ignore in particular as no Tm 6 on arrival, they have no idea where she is or supposed to be now. but to get technical ?
