Gotta largely agree, except Ubon has a little bit of a downtown and Nong Khai has the river.
But going to Udon and KK is like ordering French fries and curly fries at the same meal.

A far better offer to the families of the deceased.
I believe the owner offered only B50,000 each to the families, if indeed that is true.

Not much for a life is it. Particularly where clear negligence was involved. Hush money smells.

A windows is defined as an opening in the wall or roof, usually containing a sheet of glass.
If the Mountain B glass frontage was able to 'open' then you are correct, if not, you are not correct.
Are you saying all windows have a capacity to be opened? If so you are very very wrong. So all these high rise buildings have no windows in your opinion?
window is an opening in a wall, door, roof, or vehicle that allows the exchange of light and may also allow the passage of sound and sometimes air.
Do you know/ Understand the difference between opening and can be opened?

Read it again. This time carefully.
Maybe you should read what you wrote. Again. Carefully.
And whilst you are there any evidence to back up this subjective tripe?

Rubbish.
Yeah? Why so?
"The Vietnam war, saw dozens of American soldiers drop by in Bangkok for rest and recreation. Selling sex and alcohol was a quick way to make a lot of money during the war. Cashing upon this, Patpong opened its premises to establishments such as bars, massage parlors, nightclubs, and entertainment complexes. Thus, came into existence, the Patpong market."
What else is also true is that because the sois were becoming a throughfare the government was looking at a way of recovering the sois (not the land) as it was public space. The patpongpanich family partially started the market to keep the sois blocked and not a public thoroughfare thus keeping the sois in private hands.

This kid seems to be trying to deal with this in the best way a 27 year old can that has caused negligent death. I do not see him as denying the facts - in fact he seems to be facing his responsibilities and must be feeling pretty terrible about this and the somewhat avoidable mistakes that were made. It could have been avoided but it went very bad for every-one concerned ... there are no winners in this terrible tragedy.
You would be a "boss" supporter as well then eh? Not denying the facts? He has copped to negligence and operating without a license. How about wrongful death and all the other greivous damage he caused? Or his families depends on who is copping the wrap. Poor kid

So which is it ? A successful businessman or just a poor simple kid making hos way in life?
Speaking of which is it
"
He said that the compensation would be a difficult business as it involves many people and the land couldn't be used for that purpose.
Mountain B was on rented land.
The lawyer further claimed that the nightclub was a "family business
So did the poor simple kid know he couldnt use the land for a nightclub and is it his or the families? Talk aboit contradictory b.s

That crossed my mind, also.
But if the name in the blue book has changed, someone in the Land Transport Office must have been bribed.
Next, the copy of the passport of the American with his signature and other things are needed:
How to Transfer the Ownership of a Vehicle to Your Name in ThailandThe Buyer needs to bring the following to the Land Transport Office:
- Vehicle
- Vehicle ownership booklet
- Passport/ID
- Application form signed by the seller (form available at the office)
In addition, you’ll need either of the following from the Seller:
- Signed copy of national ID card if the seller is a Thai citizen
-
Signed copy of passport info and visa pages if the seller is a foreigner
So, there must be a trail of falsifications (however: this is Thailand), so will a procedure to find al this be successful.
If she was loooking after him for a while getting a photocopy of his id/ passport probably isnt too hard. He may have even signed it.

Why can't you escape reality to an older sun brick property with a too-loud air conditioner like everyone else? Currently working fine for me. As the Buddhists say, wherever you go, there you are.
So true. And yet makes you feel so sorry for poor Bob.

Seriously? I went there many times early 90s and definitely no night market as it became later. When the bag shops outnumbered the gogos I figured it was time to abandon the place.
I always went once a trip to remind myself why I didn't go there any more.
There may have been a night market, but it wasn't very large or I'd have noticed it.
Agree to disagree mate. Been there in one form or another for decades but im fairly sure late 80's early 90's was when it became the market as we know it.

The fun atmosphere on Patpong was killed by the introduction of the night market. IMO Nana Plaza has been the go to place ever since. Good to hear the action is picking up there.
The night market existed looong betore bars. It was a way for the family who owned patpong 5o keep the streets private and in their name as the govt was considering rezoning it. Market first opened in the 1940's so not really sure what ya talking about.

Well, right there is an open admission that these kind of Establishments are are inside the Honey Pot of the Authorities.
Until corruption and all the disgusting side effects of it, and the people that are associated with it are totally eradicated, these kind of terrible events will continue to happen in pursuit of greed.
RIP the poor souls that have lost their lives, in order that just a few people get to say " do you know who I am ? "over the greed issue.
God speed a full recovery to those who have also been badly burned Etc in the incident.
I hope the greedy all have to pay for the rest of their miserable lives for the pain and suffering they have inflicted upon the innocent
Nice sentiment but aint none of that happening.

I can't fathom how the uninjured make no attempt to douse the flames on those affected. Absolutely no consideration for anything except themselves.
No one nows how they will act in a such a situation until they are in it. Bigging it up on anonymous forum is a hell of a lot different than being on the real deal. Sometimes the people who think they will be the superheroes are the biggest cowards.
