  1. On the rare times that I go to Chewang. I park on the Lake Road near Macdonalds and then walk through to the Beach Road.

Me too, always space there and its really only mcdonalds that gets me to chaweng, which doesnt really say much for chaweng!

Sent from my GT-P7500 using Thaivisa Connect App

Em. Maybe there is plenty of parking but I just realized that I don't like it there

    Cheers

So this is just a thread for the sake of posting something? Waste of bandwidth !

  2. What's the point of this post?

BKK airlines regular web fare is 21k all in, plus you go directly to Hong Kong rather than having to lay over in BKK airport.

There is already a thread for ranting about BKK airlines' prices.

Welfare in economy , but I did mention biz ... But the point of the post is flying a suite on the a380 is a once in a life time for most people , and it may not be knowledge that you can fly there from Thailand to hk for cheaper in a suite , or even 15,000 upgrade fro Econmy to suite which most people will pay , just ordering a bottle of Dom p covers that cost

Since when you get a suite in business class (I thought its first only) ?

  3. Am sure the hotel will be Samui Palm Beach in Bophut as traffic cones have been set up for a day or 2 already for about 100m both sides of the main road. Same with the School of Tourism where the meeting is taking place. The police have set up their fancy tented HQ complete with gas cooker and pots and pans opposite the school. A few big signs up with a pic of Miss. Popularity gleaming a smile are to be seen around the island too.

Which is owned by the ever-popular Bangkok Airways . . .

    R

I would think that Miss Popularity will arrive with TG though.....

As much as the many smug Farangs seem not to like her, enough Thai people, and whose country it is liked her enough to elect her as PM thumbsup.gif

I think it is called Democracy !

Something we in the West only seem to like when the person we want to win wins ! whistling.gif

What makes you think I don't like her ?

  5. We just want some friends who like the same kind of activities.

We won't force anyone to meditate and we'll stay far away from the bars.

This isn't a preaching campain but rather our retreat for the winter.

One or two people who get where we're coming from and who like to discuss and practice is about the limit of our association with other people while we're there.

    We come in peace. smile.png

We all need friends sure, but staying away from bars won't get you many here laugh.png

  6. I did close the topic, but then why? I mean people post on here, they are aware what a general forum is all about & got to have shoulders wide enough to take criticism or different opinions when it comes to topics as such.

Closing or deleting a topic is not up to the individual, but a Thaivisa decision.

    Thanks.

I posted a question 6 second after you had closed it, now cant remember. Wasn't that important then I guess......

That would be a good bet (with the Royal Wing). It's where some of the princesses come and stay for some R & R.

I have a great picture in my head from your "The police have set up their fancy tented HQ complete with gas cooker and pots and pans".

I only hope that my car behaves - my mechanic is opposite the SOT.

All confirmed, other hotels are also used, incl. Nora Buri, biggest meeting is Sunday, most others check out Monday.....

  8. All of our planned classes and meetings are free. We do not need nor accept donations. I am not preaching, but just sharing a little personal background that might be of interest to prospective dharma friends. I don't see how our posts so far even come close to violating the quoted guidelines. More likely, someone who doesn't like our approach complained.

Do you have any references or is Samui your first destination?

  9. Just read about some research done in the Netherlands an Germany about that the flu shots being used nowadays aren't that effective anymore for the strains of flu that are found in the wild. The risk/effect ratio was quit negative. They only advise it to elderly people in risk area's.

Could well be, but better safe than sorry. No flu for me over the last 12 month.....so wanna keep it that way.

  10. My gf had an Asian guy masturbate in front of her at Kata beach a couple years ago.

I had an asian girl masturbating in front of me two days ago - I was shocked to say the least... smile.png

    Like, on the actual beach?

Seriously tho, a guy had one off the wrist about 10m away from her in a closed food vendor shack middle of Kata. Quickly walked off (that's "walked" with an "l") and hopped on a bike when he saw me approaching. Gf was laughing, she even went looking for "evidence"!!

May be he was promoting the "World Orgasm Day", I am sure many people would come laugh.png

  11. I dont put my foot on Samui anymore, full of mafia, thai and farang and stupid backpacers drinking whatever is given to them. My daughters have strict orders from dad, stay away from Pukhet and Samui. This two places are now becoming danger spots for foreigners, whatever the thai tourist board is trying make u believe. I have seen over the years, that Thailand, from beeing a very safe place to have your hollyday or to retier to, have become quite a dangerous place. And please dont come with that shit that other places are changing as well,we are now talking about Thailand. Killings, murders are now everyday news . This country is slowly becoming a dangerous place to visit and to stay, and i think statistic will prove me right. But i guess the thais will never release a statistic which shows the thruth. Yes i can move, and yes i am considering this, and so are a lot of peoplei know.

    Have a safe trip!

  12. Okay, point taken of clinic. (no painkiller works on a ruptured apendix though) Anyway, everyone only talks about money here, if you have the right insurance (i.e. Bupa) then yes you will be treated, yes the inurance company will pay for all what is included in the plan you bought and yes the company pays first (no need for you to pay and then claim back).

If you dont have the money to buy a suitable inurance then dont complain about the hospital, we all hav echoices. Just because I cant afford a Ferrari makes Ferrari a bad car.....

Are you saying that BUPA is the policy of choice? You seem to infer that 'we get what we pay for'. That is NOT the case here.

My neighbour was covered under a policy offered by Visa Premium. Now Visa is an internationally accepted credit card business. As all members with this credit card level automatically have this cover, I would have thought that it was reputable. It covers ALL medical expenses whilst travelling.

Visa advised the hospital that all charges would be covered.

I still had to pay in order for treatment to start, and my neighbour was held hostage on check-out until the last day's bill was paid. When I pointed out to the hospital that they still had my 28,000 baht - they finally allowed the patient to be discharged as this more than covered the last day's charges!

Your comment "If you dont have the money to buy a suitable inurance then dont complain about the hospital" is inaccurate as she did have suitable insurance, and I feel that the way that the hospital treated my neighbour does give me the right to complain about the hospital.

Look gentlemen, all I am saying is that I never had a problem neither with BHS nor with my inusrance, nor treatment nor otherwise.......have a great weekend and stay healthy! thumbsup.gif
