  1. I can answer this question, as a pal of mine was an old, bald fat Canadian that encountered exactly this. He used to frequent Spotlite agog in Chiang mai. One night the OZ cricket team were in town, and the girls all ignored him for the fit young sportsmen. The next night he went back and the ladies were all over him ignoring the sportsmen. So he asked them what happened .......... "the guys did us all night, passed us around, talked down to us, and didn't even pay us well" "You are polite, buy us food and drinks, give us good money and we can sleep most of the night" These girls are working and not after romance or pleasure, they want the most money for the least effort.
  2. ALL women are just waiting for their husbands to die. So might as well take the 25 year old. 60yo guy takes his new hot 25yo wife into his regular boozer. Barman says, "Cor mate how did you score that one" Guy replies, "I lied about my age" Barman says, "Wot, like to said you were 40" Guy says, "No, I told her I was 93"
  3. We only speak with other Brits.
  4. You can't extend a Tourist VISA ($36), after 30 days you MUST leave the country. You can extend an ordinary VISA ($42), 1 year extension for around $300. So it would depend on which E-VISA you purchased. Lots of people make the mistake of buying the Tourist VISA. I always stayed in the Garden Village Guesthouse and Pool Bar. $15/night (475bht) for a double room beside the swimming pool, 200m from Pub Street. Then take your time to view longer term places to stay.
  5. That would explain a gradual escalating shortage (remember 51% of Thai milk comes from NZ/Oz). That doesn't explain all milk gone over a span of 2 days.
  6. Nope, warm weather and a decent house that I could afford on my pension. Along with the freedom to not be picked up and questioned by the police at anytime of the day or night.
  7. No freedom of the press in the UK. In the 1980s the 'spook' used to sit next to me in the News studio and censor the news as it went out. In the 1990s I was that guy. I assume everywhere else in the west ran the same system.
  8. Just how free are any of us? Lets ask Nigel Farage ............ Freedom depends where you are and what you want. There's stuff I wanted in the UK but couldn't have there, but can have in Thailand.
  9. Still nothing in Chiang Mai. Even my coffee local shop has resorted to using UHT milk (nasty). I had my last coffee there this morning until the milk reappears.
  10. I'm from the UK, +10c would just about make the place livable. So it would depend which point on the Earth.
  11. She could die tomorrow in a m/c accident. Hardly anyone dies of old age in Thailand. As for her wanting to be with you, that's your projection, nobody can know what a woman wants. Often they don't know what they want either.
  12. At today's exchange rate I get 38,500/month for my UK state pension. It's 40kbht/month income required for a marriage extension. Not what I would describe as 'far short'. (Expecting a 7% rise to be announced in August ......... so 41,200bht/month in 2024 ) But like most other people I just keep 400kbht in a Thai bank account, so no monthly income at all required.
  13. Here's a letter from 42 climate scientists that don't believe in global warming. Link to text as it's a bit hard to read. https://www.thestreet.com/economonitor/us/an-important-letter-sent-to-the-president-about-the-danger-of-climate-change
  14. This is your religion and not mine. But tell me what steps you personally take (apart from talk) to stop climate change?
  15. Don't think that would be hard for anyone's granddaughter. As you appear to be a few sandwiches short of a picnic.
  16. Not only no proof its happening ............. but no proof it would be a bad thing, and no proof it could be changed. But why the alarmists would attack us for our beliefs (+ or -) is not understandable, as there's nothing you or I could do to change anything that the global elites choose to do.
  17. Maybe @GinBoy2 was right, because there's always someone on AN trying to put other posters down. But I don't need to read their posts after the first one!
  18. I'd assume that a 'heat wave index' was a statistical fantasy invented by climate alarmists to push their agenda. No need to look up anything.
  19. Didn't see it, I always FF through 'torture' scenes. Not something I want to see.
  20. I don't know what you're talking about Jerry. This photo was taken in a photo studio at Chiang Mai KSK mall in 2009, and I was there with her and paid for them. If you'd like to direct me to a site that is using photos to which I own copyright, I'd be please to issue a 'cease and desist' notice, but you haven't done that have you?
