In the UK,
...... you conveniently missed out you are expected to raise a defence during interview WHILE UNDER ARREST .....
Only after arrest and with a lawyer present, are they entitled to question you, before arrest you 'Don't talk to the police'.
If you're in a foreign county, and the UK police come out to talk with you ..... 'Don't talk to the police'.
Let them extradite you back to the UK first (which they won't be able to do without evidence).
I'm fairly certain I have a lot more experience with UK law, UK police, arrest and police questioning than you.
Which is why you wrote that nonsense.

8 minutes ago, rwill said:"Bored with it all" seems like a weird expression to use in a matter like this.
I know if someone murdered my wife I would never be bored by it.
He probably means, "I'm fed up with the police trying to convict me of the crime for 16 years".
Because, let's face it, they aren't investigating anyone else, and probably never did.

It's always a mistake to talk with the police, they're just looking for you to incriminate yourself.
Don't ever talk with them unless they arrest and caution you, they aren't your friends.
If they do arrest you the only answers should be, I don't think I was there, I can't remember, I don't know and no.
Doesn't matter if you'r innocent or guilty, protect yourself first.

Truly amazing. I thought you were only allowed to do two visa on arrivals within a year, and your daughter has done "at least" four in six months. And add to that she hands over crumpled old mixed currency from the bottom of her bag.
Unbelievable!
Depends on how long she stays, it it's a week and then off to another country no problem.
If it's full 30 days then extend another 30 days everytime, big problem.
PS. VISA waiver for westerners.

Rather hypocritical idea that some animals are socially permissible to eat while others are not, is a belief in one’s own cultural hegemony. Americans eat beef and in India, slaughter or sale of cows are prohibited. It’s factually accurate that Indians find the Americans love for beef bewildering. Eating horse meat has historic precedence in Europe and wild games including squirrels and feral hogs are hunted and eaten in U.S. No point scored for political correctness as they are all factually accurate.
I'm just gonna put you on ignore for that.

Yeah, bar girls are better protection than attack dogs.
They're good at protecting their meal ticket from other predators.
One white foreigner trying to pick a fight with me in a bar almost got himself stabbed by my wife, who was circling to try and stick him in the kidneys with her flick knife.

Dude you post such childish malarkey spun to make your diatribes look good.
What kind of loon shoots to wound? You shoot to stop. You shoot until the danger falls to the ground and drops his weapon. You shoot center of mass to minimize the danger to innocent bystanders. if you had ever had any firearms training, you wouldn't post such silliness.
And tell me which police departments in the US are out of control?
Also if you shoot to kill there's no witness to claim you put that gun on their dead body.

You're confusing the word 'people' with the words 'Asians' and 'Africans'
As far as I know western people don't eat bats/snakes/dogs/rats/monkeys/insects.
You score points for political correctness, but nothing for factual accuracy.

n Big C, Lampang, this morning, my wife and I were scanned with an identical reading of 32.4. On a board in Thai it stated above 36.3 and that is too high for automatic entry. it seems to me that our reading was affected by two minutes earlier, exiting our air-conditioned car!
Unlikely as 36-37c is normal.
Fever is 37.5c and up.

Her Son told me that when a Thai man gets married, he cannot allow his mother to hug him,
Sounds more like, 'after your mom abandoned you to go bang a foreigner you've lost all feelings and respect for her'. But that might just be me.
But why would you care?
It's not your son, let Thai families get on with it.

It is. If you look at the video where he tries to live off 600 Dollars a month where she plays a part you'll see she is expanding sideways too much. She looks like a mum now.
There's a mismatch in looks between these two.
You're right, she's packed on the pounds.
Guess he gives her enough to eat as much as she wants, happens to most ladies in LTRs.

Yet more evidence that , "Just put 800,000 in the bank and forget about it !" is very bad advice.
I always get slammed when I say I don't want to keep more money than I need for monthly expenses in a Thai bank.
'Safe as any bank in the US or UK' is a common answer.
I think not.
At least I don't have to worry about them taking out a loan in my name.

TAT count the number of tourists, not how long they stay. Of course a tourist who is here for 2 months and spends 1000 euro has more value to the Thai economy than a tourist staying here for one week and spending 500 euro. Exactly twice the value. Maths 101.
What about the tourists that stay here 2 hours, waiting for their onward flight to Vietnam/Cambodia?

I think that he is referring to the valuing of 44,000 grams of 'weed' at 400,000 baht.
Indicating a price of 9.091 baht per gram.
I don't know the price of 'weed' but 9.091 baht per gram seems cheap.
Lemme see, packet of 20 cigarettes contains 12.5gm of tobacco, or 2x $10 bags of weed.
9 bht/gm x 6 = 54bht ($2).
So a 5x markup to the end used seems about right to my thinking.
Depends if the police are valuing the product at retail or wholesale price.

Was in a hotel last year with around 50 Israeli backpackers who'd just finished their national service.
They were a really nice and friendly bunch, the girls had very small bikinis, the guys were really buff and had loads of weed, and they were happily including me (the only old guy in the place) in their pass the joint sessions.

Beware of police checkpoints
in Thailand Motor Discussion
Posted
Stopped me today on the 1001 between MaeJo and SanSai hospital.
Very annoying as they had half the road blocked and didn't stop any Thai's.
Only white folk had their D/Ls checked.
I didn't like them shouting 'farang' at each other either.
