Immigration Act B.E.2522 (1977)
Section 58.
Alien who does not have evidence of lawful entry into the Kingdom ... shall be presumed to have entered the Kingdom in violation to this Act.
The evidence would be on the immigration computer system under my name.
How hard could it be for them to check their computer?

I mean compared to normal folk back home.
Probably because normal folk live and die within 100Km of their birthplace.

My question is, has she really blocked my extension? would you try anyway?
I'd try and extend, same as usual.
They can only say no.
And if they do say no, just fly to HCMC and get a 90 day non-o to see your son.
No financials required, just his birth cert and copy of his house book entry.

Who are these cultural and mental Giants that feel the need to denigrate Thai people, their culture, their history, ambitions and accomplishments at every turn?
Reading their history is a criminal offense, even having any books on the subject in your possession can get you jail time.
Could you list some of their accomplishments for me?

And nearly all the western currencies are doing just as badly.
But the sad truth is, all the other countries around Asia are much more tourist friendly these days.
Thailand has just become a bit uncomfortable, and a bit expensive.

The only way to escape intolerable boredom in Thailand is to stay away from Westerners at all costs..
I won't pay more than 30bht for a coffee.
Coffee shops are an awful waste of money, I always think they are filled with bored people who think spending money is a way to fill their empty life. I guess if you have to live in a condo it's a way of getting out, but I'd rather have a cup of tea at the table in my front garden.

That's funny, I didn't get a letter.
There's always been a land tax, normally 50bht/year, and they only collect it when you sell.

I voted 'as happy as happy can be'
But that raises the question how happy can you be at 60+ when age related illness start to creep in?
I have a nice home, young woman in my bed every night, great children, big TV, fast internet ..........
But I've done it all before, nothing is new.

I'm seeing $28/day...$25 with a weekly discount and not enough availability for a month. But regardless, it looks worth it. Thank you for that, Tim!
Link didn't work, I changed it to point at the host, now it's $20.

Plenty of apartments in that complex from $14 and up.

Care to explain why (if you have the funds) leaving 800k (< £20k) in a Thai bank account is any different than leaving it in a UK (or your home country) account apart from the fact you get more interest & pay less tax leaving it in Thailand.
I left my pension in the pension fund for an extra 4 years, earned me 20,000GBP on top of the 4 years worth of pension payments (and all tax free). So yes it was worth leaving it in the UK, rather than taking the money and putting it in a Thai bank.

Riverside apartments has a nice pool and gym, included in the room for $20/night.

I just go for a week or weekend a few times a year (CNX to Da Nang is 2,500bht return with free VISA waiver).
Hung out with many expats there, they all say it's easy to get the VISA and long term rentals at reasonable prices. Same game as Thailand, anything advertised online in English costs double, you gotta do the legwork if you want the best prices. Plenty of Viets speaking English (generally far better than Thais) everywhere I've been. (Da Nang, Saigon, Vung Tau)
Didn't see any pimps trying to rob me, but met some really nice ladies.

I'm 40ish and still young at heart, as best as I can. I do appreciate nature, but am leaning toward HCMC for social reasons. Tell us more!!!
If you're talking women of questionable virtue, then HCMC and Vung Tau are the places for you.
Don't think I managed a day in either of those places without some floozie suggesting I have a look at her room.

Im not tech savvy sorry
can u still get all shows including Australian TV , Bloomberg etc
Why would anyone want Australian TV?
Worst production values in the western world.
When I download TV series to watch, I purposely avoid anything made in Australia.
(Although it's all posted on RARBG)
Watched John Wick 3 last night, bloody rubbish.

many things are far cheaper in Australia!!

Gallstones can be caused by excess cholesterol in the system.
But in this case it was something else, as cholesterol stones are yellow soft fatty lumps, not really stones at all.
The stones in the photograph appear to be pigment gallstones

Nice of course to be fortunate to been able to do both :
having 800000 ThB and spending 2000 ThB a day.
Not my case unfortunately, if I had that money, I would not have chosen Thailand for retiring.
I spent 540bht today, water bill + + 2lmilk + 400gm of chicken to make soup.
That's a big spend for me.
I don't want health insurance, I can pay my own way in the Thai government hospitals.
Saw the doctor last week for my blood pressure medications, 280bht including 3 months worth of pills.

Forced distribution of land is good in principle, difficult to do but worth pursuing. You will find that many of the Aristocracy have sold their land already to Oil sheiks, and Russian Billionaires.
Google 'top land owners in the UK', the top 50 are almost all Dukes and lords.
Not difficult to do, grab all the land from those owning more than 50 acres, give every Brit citizen an acre with the right to live on it. Shoot those who protest.

It would have your name and address on it.
Which would allow them to look up your VISA status in their computer system.
30 second phone call should do it.
