  1. Lazada has decaf coffee. So does the Indochina market at Mukdahan. :)
  2. Chinese police are great. As part of a Beijing HASH run, us motley mob ended up outside the Forbidden City and had a circle formed with the usual beer drinking and some dressed in Tutu's. Then Tiamin Square had a problem with groups. The Chinese police politely said we would be arrested if we "ran" into the Forbidden City. All very nice. They let us carry on a bit, then we left. All very nice and friendly.
  3. Refresh with vitamin L Leo. Still hot but last night cooler. Time to get the gas log fire ready. :) Nothing better than sitting around in front of the fire on a cold day.
  4. I think I got the name wrong...Thai Reader by Mary Hass. Tried to find it yesterday but I've put it somewhere special. :)
  5. I think the book is called 'Letters from Siam'. Many short stories all in Thai but extensive Thai/English cross references.
  6. Pattaya council just received an award for being the best on the planet. Some awards aren't very meaningful.
  7. Thing is you can see real time data as you are driving. (I used a mirror to get the scanner aligned with the socket. Better than head upside down under the dash). I try to buy a second hand car to use when I visit my home country. Last time I bought a Honda Jazz that the engine started cutting out. Bought the analyser but no codes showed up, which led to a clue that seemed to be complete lost of power to the unit, which could only be the computer. Replaced the computer, all OK. You really need a scanner for fault analysis.
  8. I think the digital future is going to be problamatic. Optus Aus meltdown recently is an example. Really we live in an analogue world. If you push something it moves...analogue, if you pull something it moves...analogue. Our body is works in an analogue world. A digital world is really a foreign world that everyone is pushing because of the speed. Analogue is natural where Digital is not. Our analogue body has many redundancies. Two eyes, 2 ears, 2 testicals, 2 legs, 2 arms. We can lose 1 of these and still function. In our digital world, if you stuff up a few 1s or 0s then your digital world is stuffed up. In an old 'real time' digital system data transfers had a parity bit. So a 64 bit word really had an extra parity bit so each data transfer had a final 'checksum' to check that the sent data was the same as the received data and not corrupted. They don't or didn't have parity checks with our modern computers. So with our push to make everything digital is causing pending disaster because when you have mega interconnected systems from analogue to digital back to analogue and not enough 'no break' power supplies, then there will be big problems. Fire away :)
  9. Brings back memories.
  10. My 2014 Honda CRV has the connector and I bought an analyser. Good investment.
  11. You want them to take their skin off too???
  12. Maybe have a full eye checkup? Not sure where you are, but I just had a full eye check up at Khong Kaen University (KKU) hospital on Monday last. Very professional, B1300 with eye drops. Dr rebooked follow up appointment for 3 weeks.
  13. @Chivas said: 'I could subscribe to another VPN but could well be the same. ITV have likely sussed it and throw in a "disruptor" into the stream bit like Sky Sports often do on EPL matches to stop the stream.' What is a 'disruptor' and how do providers like Sky Sports use these there 'disruptors.' I notice Express VPN doesn't work for me on some big football matches. Could not watch the State of Origion games as blocked.
  14. Hello, yes I understand good practice to let the diesel run on with no load after mains restored. I was looking for something else. OK that clears that up. :)
  15. Hi, I'm willing to learn, but I don't see the problem. Please show me why I need a time delay on mains reconnection.
  16. The problem was/is the incoming 3 phases would drop out for about 5 to 10 secs. This was happening randomly. So the time delay stopped these random starts.

My wife fell out of a banana tree 3 weeks ago which required a trip to Emergeny at hospital. :)

@blueeyes my Thai wife usually gets good older people to do the hard bits in the garden sometimes. She always pays minimum, so get your Thai wife to do the hiring. I get the same guy every week to clean the pool and pay him B350 for about 2 hours work. I'd say B300 per day for yard work especially leaving a 1m mulch area under the trees.
  19. Long time finishing this project, but final check yesterday and all working correctly. I have a 15 sec start generator command delay after the incoming power fails. Thanks again @Crossy
  20. Just wait for Halloween...they'll all be out hiding behind trees on beach road.
  21. In this case I can't see how an RCBO will stop the tingle from the computer schassis. As Crossy said, keeping your Croks on will do it. Also earthing the computer schassis. Maybe reversing the plug or installing an isolating transformer also.
  22. How can a 60 member committee solve anything?
