  1. Sorry for my unhelpful reply before. ????
  2. Mate, your mind is made up, I'm not going to p**s in your pocket with a 'yeah, that's great', just do it. For what it's worth, I installed cable duckting using that rectangular PVC on top if the bond beam. Cables came up in PVC thru the cavity. Spose you can paint it mult-colors and have it as a feature. Like an underground josh house.
  3. And (straying), Retail store newish sign 'Lotus's'. Even though in Thai it's written Lotus. But it's all good.
  4. Can't refer to them as 'those chicks' any more, it's 'non-binary persons sporting contemporary fashion'.
  5. Good idea. :). If your router also has 5 G as well as 2.4 G signals, then from the same shop they sell the dual band repeater.
  6. On my control box the float switch (or relay contacts) connect to the terminal block pins 4 and 5 and you have to set a couple of switches for float switch or pressure switch. I'm setting mine for pressure and float pump operation. There should be a diagram that came with the box, or you can probably download one.
  7. @Boomer6969I've a 9 year old CRV. Did you replace the airbags because of the make being a safety hazard, or why did you replace the airbags? If it was for safety reasons, did Honda contact you and replace them for free?
  8. Enclosed my reciept. For freight and tax, is this what everyone pays?
  9. I bought from a supplier on Alibaba. The fees charged for transportation and taxation seem excessive, when with the correct paperwork items from China should be tax free (except for VAT I think). Also FedEx transportation rates seem expensive. I tried to buy the unit from the supplier before trying Alibaba but they would only deal with a Wholesaler. When buying from Alibaba, do you just 'suck it up' or can you complete paperwork for tax free status and can you stipulate another carrier? When buying things on Lazada, that come from China the tax and transportation cost seem a lot less. I know when I was buying garage doors from China, I could get them tax exempt with the required forms, so why not Alibaba? I don't know the answer, that's why I'm asking.
  10. I love it. The Japanese investigation, The British investigation, hot air ballons planning solution. It's all good fun. ????
  11. I lived near The Caddie Shack and I know at the back of the land office it floods.
  12. Did you see they're advertising a credit card? Maybe old news, but new to me.
  13. I like the girl dream, ahhhh, but having had a water bed (a million years ago), I don't recommend them. Any little movement by how many are in the bed causes your muscles to relax and contract all thru the night, not a great nights sleep. And, when you have very young kids and you're filling the bed while doing something else they tend to have fun jumping on the bed. Greeted by a youngen crying 'water!'. Better than onother time when the other boy (only happens with boys) cried 'FIRE!'.
  14. Yes you are correct. Trouble is that if you want to protect your submersible pump against things like: under and over voltage supply, pump pumping with no water, pump overheating, getting full supply volts when starting, pressure or float pump starting, record of why pump failed, then you need some form of control box. My friend just set up his new approx. 60m submersible. No protection. Was pumping to his orchard then he finished, turned the tap off and told his Mrs to turn the pump off. She forgot and they discovered the next day the pump had been left on with no taps open. Hopefully it's a burst pipe as the flow rate now is poor, but he has to pull it up to check, so waiting for the bore mob.
  15. The float switch turns the pump on and off and the water into the tank goes thru a valve controlled by a big ball, (forget what they're called... ball cock?) so the water can't overflow. You do need pump protection (which I built up in a box). Shouldn't matter how for the Pump control box is away from the pump if you switch it on/off with a tank float switch.
  16. You can get the wood chips in Thailand. Used in the Smoker oven. Last lot of Hickory I bought in Pattaya, but Lazada may even have them now. I got pinged with a temperature remote (this was bringing something in via the port from China), all customs seemed to be as happy as they can be until they saw the remote, then they said my unit must be expensive, and pulled an expensive tax figure out of their head.
  17. I've just sunk a new 56 m bore thru the rock into (hopefully) a good aquifer and a 0.5 HP submersible pump. I have a couple of existing bores down about 25m with jet pumps. Some times problematic. This is what I think you need. From your submersible go to a meter that checks the pressure (just a 3 way pipe attachment with one way to the guage). From there to a tap (another 3 way pipe attachment). The tap is to use when you want to check the water quality. From there to a Non Return Valve, the flat or double flap type. From there I'm going to another 3 way attachment with one side attached to a pressure switch for expansion. The other side continues on the Intelligent Pump Controller. Feeding into this controller is a float switch in the water tank (in my case 3000L tank). The pump turns on when the water level in the tank drops by 1m and then turns off when full. The tank fills thru a cisten type valve so the tank can't overflow. The Intelligent Pump Controller is more powerful than God and controls many parameters, a bit amazing if it does all it says. I'm still waiting for my controller from China but got most of the other gear. My tank float has successfully been stopping and starting my Jet Pump for years except when I go away and wifey is left to sort things out, so with this new bore, hopefully I'll be forgiven.
  18. If it comes with a remote control definitely hid that seperately.
  19. The thing is motor bike drivers wear a mask but don't wear a helmet. Wear a mask and preferable sunglasses to keep the wind out of your face, but a helmet makes your head to hot.
  20. Came back May 2nd. No trouble with the PASS or anything on the Thai side. Now the departure Aussie side was hopeless.
  21. I went on an initial Sun Micro Systems Java Programming course and I can assure you that the Thai's were first rate programers. It's like the Thai engineers, electricians etc we don't see the good ones as they all are making good money and working for great companies. Never under estimate the skills etc of a good Thai professional.
  22. We have lots of flying ants at the moment and when the pump stops the ants that are in the skimmer without the weir tend to float into the pool.
  23. The little male tit in my skimmer box flap, that engages the female hole in the skimmer box, is broken off. Resulting in my flap not flapping. Anyone know where I can buy another flap please?
