Worst Joke Ever 2025
carlyai replied to warfie's topic in Jokes - Puzzles and Riddles - Make My Day!
Not so funny when it happens in real life, but then young and stupider. -
I'm not sure which ones, but a lot of the aquifers in Thailand are charged by rain water and not underground streams. I read about this years ago and I think NW Thailand before the plateau aquifer is rainwater charged.

New to TEFL and need help finding a job
carlyai replied to JupiWoopy's topic in Teaching in Thailand Forum
There several International Schools in Bangkok. Ruamrudii International School, Bangkok I S, and more. There are also several in Pattaya. The Regents is one. Look them up, then dress neatly and take your degree, TEFEL Cert, CV and go and see them. Also a High So Thai school, Bangkok Christian College in Satorn road. They also team teach (or used to). Do the rounds. Chang Mai also has International Schools and a big university campus at Khong Kean that has English teachers. Used to be big language schools around Siam Square. Good luck. ???? -
Yes something lost in translation. I think the shop owner knew what he was saying, but only half was understood. ????

Glad to make your day but a Thai at the shop said something about raising the handlebars. ????

Well trained. What well trained, anyone, let alone a SWAT leader, takes a pistol to a pub? -
How clean are your solar panels?
carlyai replied to 007 RED's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
That would get rid of your prostrate blockages. I remember a first job working at the Newcastle (Aus) Steel Mill and the trick with the compressed air feed was to stick it up someones clacker and pull the trigger. Caused a few industrial accidents as the force of the air ...well you can guess the results. -
On our 2 bikes we have what looks like adjustable front forks. I'm not sure if they adjust the fork damping or raise the handlebar stem or what. Someone please clue me in? Thanks. ????

Hi, trouble is with the Stiebels types, the replacement cartridges are expensive. Enclosed some pics of our under-sink-unit and tap. Just bought 3 new filters about B1300 total for the 3. We've had this unit for about 6 years and not died yet. ????

MP To Swim Across Chao Phraya River To Raise Money For Flood Victims
carlyai replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well you can always do what I did and take a few local kids to the pool for swimming lessons. Once a week for 6 weeks with a Thai instructor and 4 more kids can swim. ???? -
Good news about the fish. ???? Shovel and pressure washer for the mud? Do the army or navy ever come around to help after a flood?

I stand corrected. Kalasin is a small town. But Kuchinari is a smallest town and Baan Suan Pheung is one of the smallest towns. For me, if it takes a few hours to walk around then it is BIG. So to me, it's a big city, but to you it's a small town. ????

I'm never wrong. ????

One Man and the River: A mission that triggered tidal wave of criticism
carlyai replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
River is running fairly swiftly now, so (like catching a rip current out the back), just get in the current and off you go. Weeeeee. Still 15km is a great effort. Good man. ???? -
Six yaba taking monks defrocked - one was pushing 70!
carlyai replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Like the general public, not all are the same. -
Kalasin is a big city. As suggested, get the GRAB app as without a car you will need transport to get around to have a look. Last time I went to Udon Tani we stayed at the HiSo hotel, great for under B900 for 2 nights. Booked a GRAB taxi for nighttime restaurant visit and return, great.

Watched this Utube vid. where the guy took an electronic power meter to pieces (in the UK), seems they have pressure switches on the removable covers that can trigger a signal to the power company if they are removed.

Worst Joke Ever 2025
carlyai replied to warfie's topic in Jokes - Puzzles and Riddles - Make My Day!
I nearly bought one at an auction, but thankfully I was outbid. -
If you are building cavity walls I would use 2 rows of those 7.5 cm QCon blocks with an air gap in between, also for all your cables, conduit etc. in the cavity. Where I am most of the heat comes from the roof so for me it makes sense to use all you can to help stop the heat penertration. So many barriers, roof tiles/tin barrier, best R rating insulating barrier, ceiling insulation barrier, cross-flow air barrier. You need the lot. So I would go with the insulation that has the best insulation properties, not cheap for a big house. It should not be touching the roof tiles or colorbond roof, but about 2" away. Don't cover the eves as you need those slatted eves to let the cooler air in and exit thru the gable end of the roof space. Others may disagree. ????

Worst Joke Ever 2025

Or, if you're Khun Thai and owe the money lender too much and can't pay then ...'gone to Italy'. I kept hearing this person gone to Italy, then that person gone to Italy. When I asked, that's what I was told. ???? -
Hi, I think you mean the access cover where the cables come and go from the meter at the bottom? I traced a fault back to our meter, I thought, but PEA said 'problem would not be our meter' so I got a couple of local farmers with PHD's in Electrical Engineering to investigate. They just took the cover off no worries and found all the screws loose. No PEA complaints, but, we are way out in the sticks and the meter is a million years old. I think you need a torque wrench (well a pair of farmer's pliers will do) to retighten the screws, but not sure. Best practice around here when you remove the incoming cables is to leave them floating up in the air. ????
