Immigration officers just showed up at our door. First visit, in over 5 years residency.
They said immigration boss wants pictures of all Americans and their passports because " war with Iran". Not sure if this is a good thing or...

Every interaction I have had with KBank has been shockingly dismal. I can't imagine wanting to bank there. Bangkok Bank is a far better service provider

With each passing day, Thailand seems more like Cambodia (except without the English language skills). There is so little effort to even appear democratic or fair.

... and when nobody wants to buy Thailand's rice, due to the overvalued baht, the government will buy it all and then they will have done everything they accused Yindluck government of doing (wasting money on high speed rail, buying votes, subsidising rice farmers, demonstrated incompetence...). The only thing that will be different, is the loss of a meaningful democracy.

Time for King Power to call in their IOUs from the big boys

All other bids were "dissolved" by the powers in charge

...and when the Thai economy crashes next year, who will the Junta pin the blame on? Future forward won't be there.

Meanwhile, other high speed train projects are all placed on hold due to no investment interest.
None of the planning done by the government seems to ever come to fruition.

Van unfortunate hospitalization this week, required waiting 7hours for discharge. If Bangkok Hospital could get their act together and reduce the time it takes to pay your bill, perhaps the problem could be largely nonexistent. We were ready to walk out ton the bill too after waiting so long. Btw approved direct billing was covering all but 4000baht.

The entire resale process here seems so convoluted. Without a working multiple listing service where everyone has access to the available properties the buyers don't have access to enough inventory and sellers don't have access to buyers.

An incredibly pathetic method by the government to cling to power. If you can't beat
