    Again, don't care about unvaccinated.

We are 80 percent vaccinated and the death rate / hospitalization rate is a joke.  I am not in favour of lifetime lockdowns because of anti vaccination people.  Life is going on here.  The vaccines have served their purpose very well.

I assume you are speaking about the UK? I thought this was about Thailand?

    Thanks.

So far the online application has been fairly simple but it needs to be updated. It would help if you could upload more than one document as that would give them more information They want a statement showing £10,000 so that will be another. They also want a document that will confirm their current residency so I could send another although I'd prefer to send something different. Trouble is I don't have much else to my living arrangements in the UK.

Thats another error. It is a bank statement showing £10,000 or an income from a pension of at least £1,000 per month. For the residency just upload yout passport page again.

What a joke. A CEO with a vested interest in trying to improve his business at the expense of the people's health.

Most infections are caught on the second test!!!!

A bit too quick with your comment there @racyrick. Absolute joke of a response from you. If you had taken the time to engage your brain, you would have realise how nonsensical your response was.

They need to do something, Thai beer is some of the worst I've tasted anywhere, and it seems to get worse every year. Even a locally brewed foreign beer, like SML, seems to lose much of its magic here compared with drinking it in the PI. Thank Buddha for Hoegaarden, brewed under licence in Vietnam and available at a reasonable price here nowadays.

I was with you until you mentioned Hoegaarden. What a foul taste that is

don't blast my @rse  with cold water, especially this time

    of the year.

    regards Worgeordie

So you go around with a smeared @rse all the time then. Since when is the water that cold over here anyway

There isn't any answer to that question, I'm afraid.  At the moment it's around 6 weeks, but I did hear, unofficially, that all Thailand visa processing has now been moved to the UK.  I can't confirm that, but if that is correct, then processing times could change in either direction.

Ok thanks Tony, I think we will apply soon as possible then.

The under consideration period is a standard procedure for extension based upon marriage. They have to be approved at the division level of immitarion.

Some office have gotten permission from the division level to approve the 60 day covid 19 extensions without a need for their approval for each application.

Thanks UJ but why do offices like Jomtien approve retirement extensions almost immediately, no under consideration there.

Many offices give under consideration stamp for covid extension as per the OP.

Under consideration also given for annual extensions based on marriage. The paperwork forwarded to another office.

    Standard procedure.

Yes I know what it is, but why do they do it. CW does it and this is probably the biggest office. Is it something to do with volumes that they cant deal with requests as they come in?

Your wife's application should be considered as a "non-complex"  application as she has had UK visas before and has not, presumably, abused the visa system (by working, overstaying, etc).

Hi Tony, if I may a quick follow up from my topic from last month. We plan to go back to the UK on May 25th. With the current delays in processing applications, when do you think would be the best time to submit the application. I was thinking about March 20th, that would be just over 9 weeks. Is this enough time in the current environment.

I want to go back to visit my family in the UK but am dreading returning to Thailand.

It's been over three years now and my young grandchildren hardly recognise who I am .

    But coming back to this!!!

I'll just have to wait a bit longer, I had planned for later next month but articles like this scare the living daylights out of me..

    Very informative article though

I have been back to the UK twice since the pandemic started. I am sorry you are just making excuses, if you really cared about seeing your Grandkids then nothing would stop you.

    And many offices require map.

    CW being one.

    Your point?

My point Mr Know All is to point out that its not needed at Jomtien, the topic is not office specific. Much like you pointing out that CW doesnt require one. You spend so much time on here answering mundane queries that you think you own the forum. You post attempting to correct me was totally uncalled for.
