  1. Lotus's on the Superhighway and there's a lot more than 50 stores.
  2. Kham Thiang Market in Pa Tan. You need a vehicle to drive around it as it's that large. https://goo.gl/maps/ScZ8mXeDcuHWRGsy5
  3. How is this published today? The extension through to March 25 was published two days ago. It was never automatic, you always had to go an apply for the additional 60 day extension of stay. The biggest change is that you can now only apply for a COVID extension if your on a visa exempt or tourist visa entry.
  4. Legally, restaurants can serve in the city until 11 p.m. A good number of places that used to be bars are now restaurants.
  5. Where's the high unemployment? Isn't the official figure around 2%?
  6. You can do quarantine in CM but you have to fly directly into CM from abroad, as in, you can't transit through Bangkok. At the moment, that's a twice weekly flight from Singapore with Scoot to CNX. There's a limited number of hotels that are offering it. Personal opinion - you'd be better off flying into Phuket and doing the sandbox for a week then flying to Chiang Mai. At least with the sandbox you can leave your hotel and have a good time. Under ASQ, you're stuck in your room for the entire period.
  7. You complete cl**n - the media was wrong, the Thai government ALWAYS said that it applied to blue tourism zones - I even quoted the official Thai government news outlet which you then replied to with "Please stay up to date" Keep enjoying spreading fake news. You know why ASEAN NOW gets a bad rep - people like you.
  8. Oh - you now admit that you were originally wrong. Maybe try deleting the whole thread - you gave false information and then you argued with people pointing out you were wrong and you were always wrong. Spreading fake news is also against the law.
  9. He's the order from the province saying that restaurants in the Charming Chiang Mai districts can serve alcohol until 9 p.m. How about you try to "please stay up to date"
  10. MCOT - the official Thai government news outlet In Chiang Mai that's the Charming Chiang Mai districts.
  11. Yes - you're working, irrespective if you're being paid or not.
  12. Aren't Scandis meant to be hardy, strong people? Here's a picture of a small violin. They rolled the dice and they lost. Cry me a river.
  13. you must be new to Thailand. Welcome. Even stating facts in Thailand can result in a defamation suit. Some say that the law is an ass but in Thailand it is a 5 mile wide sinkhole.
  14. Correct - they're not currently offering shots and boosters at Prom.
  15. I've got a GoPro 10 and never had a heating issue. I have read about it - apparently it's related to the type of micro-SD you use, it has to be a high speed one. Using slower ones seemingly cause the issue.
  16. I don't know why some reports - including this, keep claiming that the Frenchman was denied entry for mocking the government. He was refused entry for insulting the monarchy. Not only was he told that by Immigration, you can see his content online (which I won't link to) that shows him doing so.
  17. ROFL - and there's not massive corruption now? clueless kids.
  18. "Chiang Mai won't be far behind" It was announced here last week for the general public who have had two sino shots - registration through the Wall of Chiang Mai. They've been offering high-risk/over 65 boosters for over a month as well.
  19. https://asq.in.th/chiang-mai-sandbox-hotels That said, you have to fly directly into Chiang Mai from abroad to utilize one. While being called a "charter," there is currently one scheduled flight a week return from South Korea through to February. There's talk of more flights from South Korea and an AirAsia service from KL possibly later this month or December but nothing confirmed as yet.
  20. It's all fun and games working illegally teaching online until you get caught. https://www.news.com.au/travel/travel-updates/incidents/aussie-teacher-details-horrific-conditions-inside-thai-detention/news-story/d432a704bf0db1def6d79489ae1b830c
  21. L&M Blue - my local mom and pop put it up 10 baht to 70 baht at the beginning of lsat month. Haven't purchase packets individually at 7-Eleven but a carton of 10 is still being charged 600 baht.
  22. ROFL. "nowhere to go, and nothing to see" - get a car and try leaving the old city, Nimman or where ever you live. You wouldn't know COVID was a thing outside of the center of town.
