I wonder how large the government's flu tablet stockpiles are.
Speaking of which, where is Chalerm?

Sounds like a non sense article, especially if you look at the effects on wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimethylamphetamine
One of the best retorts of the year!

I hope the insurgency stays in the South and does not spread. In fact I hope that they find peace in the South.
RP
Somehow, I don't think the insurgency would be permitted to spread. It might not be under control, but it is very much contained in location currently, and has been for many years.

"he said vigorous PR campaigns might have to be adopted while world-famous figures might be invited to take a trip to Thailand as a way to boost the country’s image."
I know of a famous figure I'd sure like the NCPO to invite to Bangkok right now. Apparently, his initial is T.

Thailand has aspirations to be the hub of many things, but for sure it is the hub of
tourists falling out of high buildings and dying. I would really like to see the numbers
of deaths like that over the course of a year here, versus some other large tourist based
city in the world. It is actually a regular feature of the news here, yet I cannot recall any
other city I have lived in where people fall out of buildings in such high numbers.
Could it be..........
1. Depressed suicidal tourists love to come to Pattaya to die
2. Low railing design meant for Thais not farangs trips you over the edge
3. Excessive drinking and heights are not a good combo
4. Getting pitched out by a bunch of Thai men so assets can be seized
Suggestion for tourists. Only stay on the first or second floor of a hotel.
It's a much bigger problem in Spain, especially and once again involving mainly Brits. (Yes, I'm a Brit)....

I am not sure, if this article is more helpful for the farmers or for the gangsters. ;-) Maybe some will think about robbing a farmer now.
How many Thai robber do you think read TVF?
There's quite a few reds reading.

If you have an ED visa and you leave the country - it is CANCELLED, and no longer valid - unless you inform your school, and they notify the authorities and get permission for you to leave.
If he left without telling anybody, then even his ED extension is cancelled. If he had a re-entry permit - that doesn't count anymore, as visa is cancelled.
He should have asked for a 30 day visitor at the airport to get time to sort it out - but by the sounds of it, I'd guess they just took a dislike to him for some reason of theirs.
With respect, you should check your facts before posting.
With respect, maybe I know of other ways that you or others may not. However, they are expensive.
As for ED visa being cancelled if you leave the county, that is factually correct, so I don't believe your friend's ED visa was extended at all, but he simply got an extension of stay, and as Ubonjoe rightly said he had no visa, and therefore couldn't re-enter.

"Sompong Puangsa-at, the secretary of Chumphon’s fishermen community, says the fishermen now can catch much more..."
I hope he sorts out which countries the fishermen are from, and if they are well treated.

Anyway, shouldn't that read:
Japan remains primary automobile producer in Southeast Asia

Never heard of this procedure before. Is it exclusive to non-ED visas?
As far as I know it pertains only to Education Visas. I may however be wrong... which is why I posed the above Q ..

ED Visa extension
Happened a couple of weeks ago
So he had an extension of stay (it is not a visa) for attending school. Did he have a valid re-entry permit?
Without a re-entry permit he would of only been able to get visa exempt entry if he is from country that qualifies for one..
I'd like to ask, why would you say an extension to a visa is not a visa?
What about a year's extension to a non-B? Is that also not a visa?

I wonder who the Japanese stole it from?
Maybe it was found at the bottom of a lake in Nanjing?

Domestic violence is tolerated by those who choose to remain in a co-dependent relationship,, for whatever reason. Fir/st time of abuse is enough to choose to leave, but no; for whatever reason, be it: lust, money, sex, empowerment, and etc. it is co-dependency that makes one stay in an abusive relationship. It is when it gets quite desperate that the stonger, and lesser dependent, chooses to get out. Unfortunately, that's often quite too late!

Maybe Thai production will double in output for a while!
By the way, they're also causing major rain storms.

Useless poll again....
Obviously quantitative , as opposed to qualitatittiesive.

I'm still trying to work out how they came up with a figure of 13% from the numbers displayed.
Anybody?
And how is a child of 15 a woman?
Edit: Oh yes yes, the children between 15 and 18 with child are adult women, never abused and raped. They don't count.
27,000 participations in a survey, and they come up with 13%? B.S. : It's more like 40%, but in a survey people generally don't offer honest opinion when under observation!
Very poor study results!

"arrested patrons along with masseuses who were helping the gamblers relax as they made their bets."
Did they get the Chief Whip?

Again faulty logic.
So because there is a chance that school may attract peadophile, school shouldn't be build ?
You are against education, make it clear.
I don't want to start an other religion war. I don't know if you are a muslim, jews, mormon, or just no god, you've obviously an axe to grind with the catholic church. That's your problem, please keep it yours.
Where is your defence against a huge amount of Catholic priests being arrested over the years, for assault on minors, and particularly young boys they lure into choirs and performing altarboy duties, only to have a cassock ripped off them and receive buggery?
There is no argument against education here. It is the history of quite often what lay behind the intent of the priesthood to open schools, especially for boys, or lure them into church functions.
Nobody, not even for a second has insulted your God, but you yourself are for sure angry at anybody having a whack at exposing abuse based upon religious hidden agenda concerning the Catholic church. It's the 20th century.. time for men to stop wearing dresses in powers of so called position, isn't it?
Ummmm, actually it's the 21st century but that's ok continue...
Not in Thailand it's not.

Muslim entities build schools and in many Buddhist countries monasteries provide the only education.
The Catholic church was about the only organization to build school all over the world. Stop the B.S. and check what was teached in catholic school compared to what little muslim or buddhism learned.
Were you teached well?
