What is the reason for using epoxy rather than the regular solvent glue?

The only reason  I resorted to epoxy was because I had  damaged the fitting stuck in the wall by using too much heat trying to remove a pipe which was slightly leaking so instead of making a big hole in the wall tried epoxy and it worked...there is not normally any need to use epoxy.

Air from an air con does not come from outside - air in the room is drawn through a cooling matrix and blown back into the room.

Or in other words the air in the room is recirculated it never leaves the room..so the smoke smell was due to outside air coming into the room through gaps  in windows and doors or maybe from the false ceiling obviously it not good to have a completely hermetically sealed room (and most are not)

show us your epoxy resin please

The "Draga"  is slightly more viscus than the "Bosny"  but both are very runny

and somehow go absolutely everywhere, I've had some success containing the stuff with cling film/plastic wrap before it starts to set (makeshift shuttering) then you have a  short while where it's like putty before being too far set to be useful.   clean up before it dries with  lots of washing up liquid and scouring pad rinsed with water..

for a pipe glue/fix only a very small amount was needed I roughened both surfaces with sand paper and cleaned and dried as far as possible then applied with wooden BBQ skewer a thin coat of epoxy to  the male PVC pipe leaving about  the first 5 mm with no epoxy and then coating the 5-15mm part then just assemble as you would with glue except probably quite a lot of epoxy will spill out and you need to leave it to set for a good few hours before turning on the water.

Did I mention it goes everywhere !!!! ????

  5. I didn't hear anything but i'm usually asleep ay that hour.

I have noticed the passenger trains are back looking very shiny and like new..(same old colours) and the blue aircon "tourist" trains are back too.  Other than that there are at least 2 x per day rather noisy and long oil transport trains and less noisy for some reason the container transportation trains.

My bet would be it was an oil transport train very noisy.
