There is not much negotiation you either take their offer or not they (mostly) don't give discounts for cash as they make much more profit from the finance options offered to Thais, they may throw in a crappy helmet and jacket if you are lucky and depending if its a BMW or Ducati 😋 If you want a good discount then look towards privately sold second hand or even second hand "finance returns" at the dealership they often have low mileage and a bit of a discount.

Ha ha,I kind of agree and disagree at the same time...yes many need hand holding..but don't really see a problem with that, they are trying to intergrate in an alien environment via "proxy wife"..the language barrier can be huge..dealing with Thai bureaucracy is a challenge for everyone,should they try harder to navigate the intricacies themselves ? probably. Do I blame them for not wanting to and delegating to someone else...mostly no.

Ion cleaning ? perhaps it's ozone causing or exacerbating the dry throat...? might be useful to buy a hydrometer (cheap ) to gauge how humid the air is, below 40% humidity most people start to suffer the symptoms you describe 50-60% humidity would be more comfortable on throat but still feeling cool on the skin. As suggested above check that the auto mode doesn't include a bit of "drying" too.

There where Police roadblocks on the Sukumvit road south bound going into Pattaya and leaving towards Sattahip yesterday...(day time) they didn't check me for anything, fortunately I had just come back from the DLT renewing my licenses..my tax and insurance is up to date and I even had my seatbelt on !! 😋 They did seem quite interested in some school kids on motorbikes at one checkpoint and pickups /trucks at the other one.
