  1. Why are you scared or even care if @Bagwain lives near you ? you have had your jabs so you're protected right ?
  2. Yes that is possible I've had that happen before..did your daughter send the envelope "international signed for" or just a "normal" method "signed for" has a higher chance of arriving at the Thai post office unmolested as it is (supposedly) electronically traceable.
  3. Hence the need to disclose this information here in discussion forums. I re read your post below but it's not clear to me where you stated in that post you used a yellow book.
  4. 1: 2 months / 60 days 2:no 3: after the final extension of stay is stamped in passport
  5. Price of crude oil is also up to about 80 dollars a barrel like before the covidiocy struck.
  6. Yes but it wouldn't take much in the scheme of things for a government to feed them.
  7. More TAT great expectations ? at least "sometime in the future" bit was included sometime in the next 20 years or so when everything is back to normal ?
  8. So are you saying that in Chiangmai they don't require any proof of the address they will put in the green/blue book ? they just take your word that the address is correct ?
  9. I suspect the powder coating company if it's worth it's salt will also do "media" blasting as its the "best" way to remove old paint and corrosion.
  10. What do you mean by the above ? all of what I wrote, some of it, most of it ? everything everyone above wrote ? if you have better information then please do post it here for all of us to be informed before maybe a long trip to the "local" DLT and then maybe a big hassle trying to obtain the necessary documents from the seller after the purchase. Yes there can be differences between provinces as to which documents they require for example at Chonburi DLT they only except a letter from immigration for proof of address of a foreigner.
  11. I think they use baking soda for delicate parts ? I don't know if this company is still around and have not used them but maybe they can help.
  12. I would not use the UK sockets as most everything sold here will not fit so you'll have to cut the plugs off and fit UK plugs.. maybe opt for some "universal" sockets like these from Haco which can be found in Thailand with some searching UK plugs fit nicely as do the Thai 3 pin plugs and the 2 pin plugs etc.
  13. Last time I went to Terminal 21 they where still selling popcorn and film merchandise but the cinema it's self was firmly closed also saw on Thai TV news that all cinema goers where to wear masks throughout and no food and drink but as we all know T.I.T !!
  14. I'm tempted to go see it at the cinema but don't fancy having to wear a silly mask all the way through it and not have anything to eat/drink.... 2 hours 45 is very long too but without the drink probably wouldn't have to run out to the toilet midway ????
  15. From my notes again for the "umpteenth" time ???? Thai seller needs to supply Signed copy of ID card front and back ( not expired ) Signed copy of house registration ( not always required ) signed " nungsue moub umnart หนังสือมอบอำนาจ ( if seller is not going with you to DLT ) signed "beb kum kor own le rup own แบบคำขอโอนและรับโอน ขส.บ. ท. - 11 green/ blue book signed by current owner Foreigner seller needs to supply certificate of residence from immigration ( should be free at immigration but varies from place to place ) or instead of certificate of residence a work permit or yellow housebook is accepted in certain provinces if foreign seller has left Thailand then a signed copy of the exit from Thailand stamp in their passport instead of residence certificate and valid visa stamp. (Certificate of residence not required in all provinces ? / DLT's Pattaya requires it ) sometimes the police station will give you this document too. copy passport photo page copy of visa page and or extension ( not expired ) signed " nungsue moub umnart ( if seller is not going with you to DLT ) signed "beb kum kor own le rup own ( if seller is not going with you to DLT ) green/blue book signed by current owner If the vehicle has a number plate from another province then you ( the new buyer not the seller ) must either change the ownership name in that province or go to the MAIN DLT for your province and have them " move" the vehicle to your province this requires a new number plate and 2 or more trips before the whole process of name change and province change is completed. samples of the required documents in the zip file below. Vehicle_Transfer_2.zip
  16. The bank notes will always be changeable at a UK bank.. I would not risk sending them in the post.
  17. There is a LOT less choice of shops at "Tukcom" ( south Pattaya) now I hate to think what the situation is at the Harbor Mall "TukCom" now after 18 months of this Covidiocy it was pretty dire even before.
  18. No doubt he was miraculously saved from harm by the dash board amulets..maybe though if the cuddly toys, nodding dogs and other clutter on the dashboard was removed he could have seen where he was going ! ????
  19. Reminds me of The Great Sphinx of Giza.
  20. Possibly there is no English language soundtrack only the dubbed Thai one ?
  21. No the evaporate overflow pipe will not effect the cooling...my guess is it needs a good clean of the condenser ( outdoor radiator) and evaporator ( indoor radiator) and maybe coolant level could be low which means there is a leak some where in the system...also I see you say the remote stopped working...was there thunder and lightning ? and is the aircon an inverter ? if so maybe some electronic damage.
  22. The T.I.S stamp is on the "muffler" part I think you can change the "header" part of the exhaust and re route the exhaust without problems at the DLT as long as the "muffler" has the stamp.
