  1. I just completed this quiz. My Score 10/100 My Time 159 seconds
  2. I'm sure they are linked,I did a online report 20 days prior to my new report date window,it was rejected for being outside of the 15 day window. My earliest reporting date is Aug 20. I have decided to report by mail as post office is just 300 metres from home.
  3. Party to be disbanded,10 senior members banned for 10 years. CNN news
  4. That's OK as I have the proof of non assessable remits. Also the revenue department refused to provide me with a Tax number
  5. There's a lot of information on the forums re reducing your tax liability. When the news first broke about the closing of the loophole regarding remits,I ran my numbers against TH taxable income and I was looking at 60,000baht tax pa. But keeping up with the many posts I was able to determine that as a single, aged pensioner I can claim 500,000 thb as allowable deductions so with out trying to find further loopholes my liabilty is now 3,000 thb pa. With 5 months remaining in this tax year I could reduce my remits to a level where i am tax free. Remember all earnings prior to 2024 you may have saved and remitted are not assessable. Last month The Thai revenue department refused my application for a Tax Identifier Number because my income was in my home country currency and I had no income from employment in Thailand. So I cannot file a tax return because I don't have a tax id number. Go see your revenue office and get current information about your circumstsances
  6. Yesterday AUD transfer to Kasikorn bank took 5 minutes usually instantaneous. Yesterday was a bank holiday in Sydney.
  7. I just completed this quiz. My Score 80/100 My Time 97 seconds
  8. I thought the 10,000 baht was made available to the customer via the wallet. The vender would recover costs of transactions via registering the sale via the wallet app. Venders only get payment for services as decided by wallet administrators.(No electronics etc) Off topic Some vendors already complaining about getting payment for services provided to the government sometimes takes 3 months
  9. I feel the officer took into account my age when he stated home country currency income/pension is exempt, only income from employment within Thailand is assessable
  10. This is why it is best to go to your RD office as I wrote. Thai income not income of Thais. Also they may assess pensions but what action is taken.
  11. For all those seeking answers to varying situations, here is my experience applying for a Taxation Identification Number for personal income tax at a Bangkok Revenue department. The officer advised this is not required as my income is in my home country currency, only Thai income is assessed and we do not tax pensions. So make the effort to sort your own circumstances by visiting your local RD office.
  12. Superb post, great relevant easily read details. More informative than all the waffle published by tax "professionals" to date.
  13. Thai stimulus ain't going to help. Problem for AUD is ailing Chinese economy and reduction of iron ore imports consequently price has dropped by around $60 per ton ,similar with coking coal for steel production. You may have read about Thai steel makers complaining about very cheap Chinese steel being dumped here affecting their bottom line.
  14. For the last several years my applications for extension of stay (retirement) at CW have been accepted without question. I have always had extra relevant docs with me,Just in case.
  15. Following my recent return I received reminder email,so I reported got rejected "out of reporting window"
  16. The day you return to Thailand is day 1 for your next 90 day report countdown.
  17. I just completed this quiz. My Score 83/100 My Time 53 seconds
  18. When I first used Wise my Australian bank had "processing times" transactions prior to midday would be processed at 6pm,transactions later than midday 10am following business day. Now my Wise transactions are completed inside of 1 minute from my AU bank to Kasikorn bank,I think OP's problem is Bangkok bank, obviously they have "processing times" thus the delays
  19. I just completed this quiz. My Score 20/100 My Time 100 seconds
  20. For what it's worth,I created my account in Australia and changed address details 20 years ago when I established myself here,on the odd occasions I checked the account it was still active but I haven't checked since the news to discontinue services here
