The Embassy rarely reaches out to individual cases, except in case of incarceration they will send consular staff (or Red Cross rep) to visit and confirm the person has not been abused...other than that...parties to plan and that lawn (with private lake) at the Ambassador's residence doesn't take care of itself. -

The CDC also has recommended not eating street food in Thailand...but I wonder if she follows that advice too...she wants to live in a USA mandated bubble...then she could have stayed in the US- 139 replies

Since she is over 60 she can get Astra at any number of vaccination sites in Bangkok. She needs to get off her duff and stop whining about a situation she created for herself.- 139 replies

Messed up My Non-O Retirement Yet Again

Certainly not at the .09% that 1 year Treasury is yielding today. Even a 10 year treasury will only get you about 10,000 baht annually. A 1 year will earn you about 720 baht. -
My best guess it's the same as many of these cheaper products. They seem to do the job at first but longevity is the issue. Bought a VItaMix blender clone...worked great...but eventually the bearings in the blade assembly needed replacement...not a big deal but my guess is that Juicer won't last too long before the motor burns out.

Had a tough time fightinig the old blue haired Thai/Chinese ladies who were bulk buying all the pork ribs at Tops yesterday. Slipped my arm in between two of them and grabbed the last pack and the look of "death to all foreigners" was transmitted my way. One lady had about 10 packs in her cart already and was ready to throw down with me over one package....things are getting squirrely.
